Chapter 58: Chapter 58

When they arrived home, Gabby block their path as she looked at the both of them. She has noticed the silence between them since they left Tanner’s house.

She looked from Carl0s to Triffany. “What is wrong? I have noticed that you both have been quiet and unusual.” More especially they are not acting their usual drama.

“Everything is okay,” Carlos told her and Triffany looked at him. she had thought he would tell his sister how she kissed the man she loves but he didn’t.

“But your mood says otherwise,” Gabby said sceptically.

Carlos exhaled softly. “Gabby, please, I am tired right now. It has been a long day.” He looked at Triffany with a cold gaze and left for his room.

Gabby and Triffany watched him and then Gabby faced Triffany for answers. Triffany looked at her, she knew she can’t tell Gabby what had happen so she excused herself. “I better head up too. Goodnight.” She told Gabby and went upstairs.

Gabby pressed her lips together, she knew something was definitely wrong, the air between them was chill, more chill than the day she first saw Carlos with Triffany.

But all she had to do was let go of her curiosity, they were couples, married couples do have argument, they will come around.

Her phone rang and she took it out of her bag, seeing the caller she immediately took the call.”Hello Tommy.” For a long time now she have not spoken to him and she was surprise he called, have Triffany told him?

“Gabby can we meet?” Tommy said from the other side of the line.

Gabby smile, this must be really happening. “Okay, text me the address.” She told him and went in to change into a lovely dress, she have to look beautiful to see him. she kept smiling as she apply some makeup and perfume.

In Carlos room, he finished taking his bath and lay on his bed to sleep, Triffany took her bath and came close to the bed to join him.

“You should go back to your couch.” He told her indifferently without looking at her. “I don’t want to share my bed with you anymore.”

Triffany’s eyes became wet. “Carlos..” She try to say something but he cuts her off.

“Please…” His voice was pained. “I don’t want to hear anymore.” He switched off his light and closed his eyes.

In tears Triffany returned to her couch. She looked at Carlos who had his back at her. Recently Carlos had been warm to her but now she can feel his coldness.

It was all because of her..if she had only listen, if she had not lead Tommy on, if she had wore her ring and told Tommy she was married, all these wouldn’t have happened.

She pull her knees up and buried her face on her arms. Nick was right, she have to prepare, she have to brace herself for a divorce. She sobs silently until her body fell numb.

Gabby met Tommy at a bar and was surprise to see him drinking beer, it was the first time she have seen him drink beer since she knew him.

She sat next to him and took the beer from his hands. “Tommy stop!” she told him. She knew when someone was drinking for fun and when someone was drinking when they were in pain. And right now she knew he was drinking because he was hurt.

Tommy looked up at her and she could tell from his face that he was wasted. “Gabby is here!” He said drunkenly and hug her.

“Tommy get a hold of yourself.” She told him and pull him off her. She want to be embraced by him but, not when he is in this state.

Tommy supported his chin with his hands and looked at her closely. “Truly you love me..she told me you do.”’ Tommy said softly.

“ I called her severally, but she didn’t show p or pick my calls.” He had called Triffany and even texted her but she have totally ignored his calls. “But, ii called you once and you’re here in my front.” His voice was husky and Gabby could see the pain in his eyes.

Yes she was hurt by his words, she knew who he loves, she knew it was not her, but Triffany, still she want to know why he was this sad. “Tommy, what is wrong?”

“I have lost my first love forever.” Tommy muttered as Gabby looked at him, she could see tears in his eyes, waiting to roll down his cheek. “She is married…” His lips quiver. “Gabby, I didn’t know…i was too late.” Tears rolled down his eyes.

Gabby could feel thorns in her heart, the guy she love was crying for another lady, he was drkunk because of someone else and here he was telling her.

He knew she love him, but he was telling her about his first love who happened to be her brother’s wife. She want to scream at him to stop crying, she want to be happy that he can’t be with his first love.

But the man she love was hurting so, she was also hurting, right now all she want to do was hug him and comfort him, she want to tell him that she was here for him.

“I never knew she was married to your brother, the hair of Glammaly estate.” He had to look it up online after Triffany had told him and then he discovered that Gabby was Carlos sister and that Carlos was legally married to Triffany.

“Gabby…” Tommy held her hands and looked at her in the eye. “Triffany Is so mad at me because I kissed her and Carlos witnessed it.” Gabby looked stunned as she heard this.

“Gabby, I didn’t know she was his wife, I didn’t know she was married.” Tommy went on to say. “I don’t know how I will face them. Carlos might think she have been cheating on him, and Triffany wouldn’t know how to explain this.”

Now she realize why the mood between Triffany and Carlos was cold, now she knew why her brother was acting indifferent, just as Tommy said, he must have think all this.

Gabby knew it is not Tommy’s fault, it is not Triffany’s fault too, no one plan things out like this. Triffany was so excited when she heard that She love’s Tommy.

She was also sure that Triffany doesn’t know about Tommy’s feeling, she Gabby was the one at fault for not warning Triffany from when she knew.

Now she also know that Carlos anger could be because of jealousy, he was jealous that the wife he have started loving would let another man kiss her. A part of her was no longer sad.

She embraced Tommy and pat his back gently. “Husband and wife do fight and reconcile, this would help bring them together.” She told him and Tommy sob silently.

Yes he loves Triffany, but now she was married, he don’t want to ruin her marriage because he loves her, he knew that Triffany love Carlos and he won’t let his greed ruin her joy.

Triffany woke up the next morning from the couch and found Carlos bed empty, perhaps he must have left for work early.

She held her head as she felt a headache and her eyes hurt from sobbing last night. She opened her drawer and took a calming pills.

She picked up and phone and switched it on to see twenty missed calls from Tommy and few messages. She read the message and he kept repeating that he was sorry in all of them.

She knew it was not his fault, yet she was not yet In the mood to talk to him, everything had made her weak.

She had gotten married to Carlos who doesn't love her and when he was about to start loving her, she messed things up.

She got up gently and picked her towel, she knew even if she was feeling sick, she still needs to go to work.

She knew she will run into Carlos today and they have announced a meeting that will be held today.

She took her bath and dressed up, she saw the yellow dress he had picked for her the day she was going to his company, her eyes became wet.

Now he would never pick a dress for her again. She put on an office black skirt and blue shirt. She packed her hair back and wore her flats, bot in the mood to put on makeup or put on high heels.

She looked at her wedding ring that were on the desk. If only she had worn this ring as he had told her, all this wouldn't have happened.

Now she knew her stubborn attitude had lead to this. She picked up the ring and put them in her ring finger. She had notice Carlos wear his ring that day she went to his office and tod the secretary she was his wife.

No, for few week now, or for some months now, Carlos have always worn his ring, but she was too adamant not to wear hers.

She exhaled sharply as she looked up to stop her tears from rolling down her cheek. She picked up her bag and walked out of the room.

She prayed not to run into Gabby since it was also difficult to face her, all this will hurt Gabby if she were to find out. Lucky she did not see Gabby so she left the house and head to the bus stop.

Tommy knocked on Carlos Zack office door as he was permitted by Felicity to enter.

Tommy entered the office and saw Carlos going through some file. "Carlos Zack." He called out and Carlos Zack looked up at him.

Carlo left his desk and pointed at a seat. "Have a seat." He told Tommy who did and then joined him. "You asked to see me. What do you want to say?" Carlos said in a cold voice.

Tommy thinks his word through and opened his lips. "I am sorry, I don't know that she was your wife, her last name and also the ring she did not wear..."

Carlos have tried to act calm, but now he couldn't continue as he cuts Tommy off. "It's everywhere in the internet. Why?" He looked at Tommy with distain.

"Didn't you check or were you in an island?" Carlos said coldly. "Huh!"

Tommy looked down, he knew Carlos was right. "It was my fault. Triffany was telling me about Gabby, how Gabby loves me before I planted a kiss on her lips." Tommy said softly.

"Will you stop saying that!" Carlos shouted as he clenched his fist in anger, right now he want to smack Tommy across the face, but he was holding back.

"Triffany is my wife and you shouldn't have done that even if you know or not." He continues coldly. "You should gain someone's permission before you kiss that person."

Carlos exhaled sharply as he glare at Tommy. "I want you to say away from Triffany totally. I don't want her having any Male friend, especially you who have feelings for her." He said seriously.

"If you get that clearly, then leave my office and don't be so close to her, don't even touch her hands. She is my wife and my wife alone!" He said sharply and got up from the chair.

"You should leave now." He pointed at the door and turned his back at Tommy.

Tommy got up and looked at Carlos cold back. "Okay, I will do as you said, but know that this was all my fault, not Triffany's. So please forgive her." With this Tommy left the office.

Carlos scoffed. "Triffany?" He remembered how he have been ignoring her since yesterday as he shouted in anger. "Triffany!" He runs his hands through his hair and looked out of the window.

Carlos was having a meeting with Director Kammy, Elvis Daniels, Tommy Maxwell and Triffany in.his office when Felicity came in.

"Sir." She said softly.

Carlos looked at her. "Felicity I am having a meeting now." He told her, not wanting any interruption.

"I am sorry for barging in sir, but Kelsey is here to see you." Felicity told him.

Hearing Kelsey's name, Triffany looked at Carlos who have been avoiding her gaze all day, she had also noticed he was not wearing his ring today too.

"Kelsey?" Carlos raised his brow. "Tell her I will be with her soon."

"Okay sir." Felicity told him and left.

Triffany wonder why Kelsey was here, was it because of her, was Carlos going to divorce her and be with Kelsey now? Her heart was not at ease as she looked at Carlos with a sad eyes.

Carlos turned to the others. "We would wrap things up now. Elvis do well to make this project go well." He told him.

"Okay sir." Elvis responded.

"Director Kammy, I trust you will also cooperate with them." Carlos said to Kammy.

"That's my job." Director Kammy smiled.

"Okay. Dismissed." He stood up and pressed the extension button. "Felicity let her in now."

Triffany looked at him as she picked up her things to leave, he have never glance at her all day.

As they leave the office, Kelsey enters and look at Triffany. She was wearing a very beautiful dress and looking so pretty that it made Triffany's heart skip a beat.

Kelsey brush passed her and Triffany looked back just in time to see Kelsey hug Carlos and Carlos did not push her away.

For the first time today Carlos glance at her as she left the office saddened. Yes, it is now obvious that he had called his lover. They were going to be together and she will be kicked out.
