Chapter 28: Chapter 28

Carlos called Philip from home, Philip picked up the phone at the first ring. “Hello sir.”

“Philip, cancel all my today schedule.”

“Okay sir.”

“Also, I sent you an email, process it and send the file to Mr Daniel.”

“Okay sir.”

Carlos ended the call and turned around to see Triffany staring at him. “What?” He asked as he put his two hand into his pocket.

“It seems you’re not going to work today.” She walked closer to him.

“What does that have to do with you.” He said coldly, his eyes not leaving hers, Triffany signed and look away. “What1”

She took a deep breathe. “You’re so lucky, you can skip work and cancel your schedule, but here I am, dying to go to work and to find one.”

Carlos smile and sat down on a sofa as he crossed his legs and looked at her. “That’s why I’m special and you’re not.” He said pointing from himself to her. “If you were, you should have been born with a silver spoon.” He tilt his head to a side.

Triffany scoffed as she furrowed her brow. “There is no end to your rudeness.”

“Then stay off my business.” He picked up his phone and started going through it.

“I’m doing that.” She walked close to him and smiled broadly. “Hey.”

Carlos looked up and saw Triffany smiling down at him. “That evil smile.” It seems he knew what she want, he shakes his head. “Not again.’

Triffany curled her li0ps up. “Since you are not going anywhere today, teach me and don’t use the spacing around method cause I won’t be doing it.”

Carlos put his phone down and got up as Triffany step backward. “And. Who told you I don’t have where to go?”

“You cancelled your schedule.” She blinks, wondering where else he would go after cancelling his schedule.

“That’s because I have got a special priorities.” He strolled over to his mirror and dress his hair.

Triffany turned to face him. “And, what is that?”

“Stay out of my business.” His phone rang and he picked the call. ‘Hello Kelsey, are you ready?” He turned to look at Triffany who was still looking at him.

“Yes.” Kelsey answered from the other side of the line.

“Okay, I will be there in,” he looked at his wrist watch. “Thirty minutes to pick you up.”

“I hope you wore your best?” She asked.

Carlos looked at the mirror, he was wearing a blue suit trouser and a white shirt, and his blue blazer was on the arm of his chair. “Of course, I dressed my best.”

“okay. You would be surprised to see me.”

Carlos smiled. “You’re a damsel already, I can’t wait to see you.” They talked for a while and then she ended the call, he called Shanne and told him to get ready to leave.

He turned to Triffany as he put on his coat. “I have got better things to do and a special person to meet, so work your own way out.” He picked up his phone and wallet as he walked out of the room.

Triffany felt hurt but at last breaths out. “He doesn’t love you and you don’t love him.” She told herself trying hard to suppress her tears.

Triffany visited Nick who got dressed to leave the house when she knocked. “Hi, Nick off to somewhere?” She asked as Nick stepped out of the house.

“You’re here, why?” He asked, surprise to see her.

Triffany scoffed. “Should you be asking me that?”

“Yes, cause you are married and should be at home or work.” He told her.

“Home is boring and I have no job yet.” She leans close to the door folding her hands.

“Thanks for the reminder, but I’m heading out now.” He told her, showing her his bag.

“Where to?” She asked curiously.

“I have an appointment with an artist who is interested in my game.”

“Good for you, is Allison home?” Triffany asked.

“No. she went to her per-time job.”

Triffany exhaled, this was the only place she could come and now her cousins won’t be at home. “I better head off now.” She turned around to leave.

Nick looked at her. “Do you seriously no where to go?” He knew Triffany was not happy in her marriage and he felt sorry for her.

“I don’t.”

“Would you like to tag along?”

She waved her hand and shakes her head. “Nah, go get this job.” She smiled at him, happy he was also going to get a job.

“You’re pretty.” Nick flashed her a smile.

“I’ve always been.” She was always proud of her looks.

Nick scoffed. “Try to say ‘thanks for the compliment’ that sounds more ladylike.” Triffany smiled. “Here.” He hands her some cash. “Go have fun.”

Triffany smiled, Nick acts like an elder brother sometimes, even when they are the same age. “Thanks cousins. Good luck.”

“Bye.” Nick left.

Triffany looked the open street and wonder where she would go now. She saw a music ongoing musical show sign board. She checked the address and took an a taxi to the place.

She head over to buy a ticket, since watching a show will be fun. She was about to buy the ticket when someone tap her shoulder, she turned around to see who it was and was surprise. “Tommy.”

“Triffany Joey, what a coincidence. Like its been years.” He was smiling too hard that it seems his lips was going to expand.

Triffany who was also happy to see him smiled back. “Yes it has. Where have you been all these while?” she was looking at the young handsome man that she haven’t seen for some years now.

“I moved out after graduating. You?” He asked, still staring at her like she was going to disappear any time.”

“I have been around, just here and there.” She shrugged.

“You’re still looking gorgeous.” He stare at her, she was wearing a sky blue dress and her hair was curled around her shoulders and she was wearing a light make up too and was looking pretty.

Triffany blushed. “Thanks for the compliment.” She wanted to say she knew but remember what she Nick told her.

Tommy looked around. “Are you here to watch the show?”

“Yes.”

“Don’t bother buying a ticket, I got two here.” He hands her his second ticket.

Triffany looked up at him surprise. “I this not for someone else?” Normally when someone got two ticket it was always for someone he or she invited.

Tommy who was still staring at her smiled. “You’re the someone.” He said softly.

Triffany saw him staring at her amorously, if she haven’t known Tommy she would have considered him a pervert. “okay, if you say so.”

“Let’s go in then.” They both walked into the hall and sat down after purchasing some drinks.
