Chapter 418: Chapter 418

The two little demons didn’t dare to conceal the truth and hurriedly replied, "We know, we know! That is the ancestor of our Great King, known as the Nine Spirits Holy Yuan. He possesses immense divine skills and is extremely formidable! Below the ancestor, there are six more Great Kings, all sworn brothers of our own Great King, each with exceptional abilities."

Upon hearing this, Sun Wukong said with a delighted face, "Brother has indeed made a divine calculation; there really are one big and six small, totaling seven lion spirits on Bamboo Joint Mountain. Together with this Yellow Lion Demon, that makes eight."

Sun Wukong nodded slightly, then said to the two little demons, "Do you know the way to Bamboo Joint Mountain?"

"We know! We know!" The two demons nodded and said eagerly.

Well-pleased, Sun Wukong nodded and said, "Since you know the way, then this Immortal will give you a chance to live. The two of you go now to Bamboo Joint Mountain and meet with the Nine-headed Lion."

"But what should we say to our ancestral grandfather when we see him?" the two little demons hurriedly asked.

After contemplating for a moment, Sun Wukong then said, "You only need to tell the Nine-headed Lion that the Yellow Lion Demon stole the weapons of the Great Sage Equalling Heaven, Marshal Tianpeng, and Great General Who Lifts the Curtain under cover of the night. As a result, we three stormed in. Your Great King was no match and, failing to defend, was captured. All the little demons in the cave were killed, with only the two of you escaping in the chaos of Tiger’s Mouth Cave. No need to say more, just report back ."

"This...," the two little demons hesitated, showing reluctance.

"What’s this, what’s that? If you’re not willing to go, that’s fine. I’ll find someone else. After all, we’re only sparing one or two survivors," grumbled Zhu Bajie, who was already displeased, now speaking with a stern expression.

"Yes! We’re willing to go to Bamboo Joint Mountain to deliver the message. We’ll go right now," the two demons replied in haste.

At that moment, Sun Wukong lightly waved his hand, and a whirlwind immediately arose, carrying the two demons unsteadily to the ground.

Then, Sun Wukong shouted loudly, "Follow me into Tiger’s Mouth Cave, but remember, other than capturing the Yellow Lion Demon alive, kill all the little demons on sight without mercy. Not one should escape, especially not the Yellow Lion Demon; we must capture him alive at all costs."

"Brother Monkey, we don’t have weapons. How will we fight?" Zhu Bajie said, frowning.

"Stop talking nonsense. Just because we don’t have weapons doesn’t mean we don’t have mana," Sun Wukong retorted.

Although they were without weapons, dealing with some minor demons was still an easy task for them.

Right after speaking, he transformed into a beam of golden light and shot towards Tiger’s Mouth Cave.

Zhu Bajie and Sand Monk, seeing that Sun Wukong had already made up his mind, dared not dissent and followed close behind, rushing towards Tiger’s Mouth Cave.

With a "boom," Sun Wukong burst through the cave’s entrance using a wooden stick, catching the few little demons inside off guard.

They swung their weapons at Sun Wukong, who brandished his Divine Spear. A burst of golden Divine Power swept out instantaneously, catching the demons by surprise and cleaving them in half at the waist, killing them instantly.

Sun Wukong then loudly commanded, "Junior Brother Sand, guard the cave entrance well. Don’t let any evil spirit escape."

"Understood, Great Elder Brother!" Sand Monk assented.

The commotion had already alerted all the evil spirits in the cave. A gang of little demons wielding weapons rushed out in a panic, but Sun Wukong and Zhu Bajie, relying on their overwhelming strength, saw them as no threat and cut a bloody path straight through, continuing their charge into the depths of the cave.

Seeing their comrades cut down in moments, the little demons knew they were no match and were so frightened that they started to flee in all directions.

The Yellow Lion Demon also heard the noise and realized an intruder had come. In a hurry, he grabbed his armor and weapons and rushed out.

The demon wielded a Siming Spade. Despite his imposing and mighty appearance, he stood in the way of Wu Ming and Sun Wukong and bellowed, "Who are you to attack my domain? State your names at once. This king does not slay the nameless."

Sun Wukong rebuked loudly, "What a bold demon, not to recognize me! I am none other than Sun Wukong, the Great Sage Equalling Heaven, who wreaked Havoc in Heaven five hundred years ago! To protect Xuanzang on his journey to seek scriptures in the Western Heaven, we passed through Yuhua Province to exchange credentials. The noble king asked his three princes to take us as their teachers to learn martial arts. He used our Magical Treasures as models to craft similar weapons."

"Because it was left in the courtyard, you thieving furball sneaked into the city under the cover of night and stole it. If you know what’s good for you, hand over our treasures promptly, or else, beware for your life might not be spared."

The Yellow Lion Demon realized what was happening upon hearing this; it turned out that the rightful owners of the three magical treasures had come knocking. However, since he had already stolen the treasures, the Yellow Lion Demon had no intention of giving them back easily. A cold smirk crossed his face as he said, "What a bold impudent monkey, to make such grand statements in my Tiger’s Mouth Cave. Those three treasures belong to me now, and you can forget about getting them back. If you know what’s good for you, beat it now, and I might just spare your lives."

"Humph, so ignorant of your impending doom," Zhu Bajie couldn’t help but snort coldly upon hearing this and turned to say to Sun Wukong, "Brother Monkey, let’s take out this evil spirit."

"Don’t be so arrogant, have a taste of my shovel first!" The Yellow Lion Demon, seeing that the two of them were still talking among themselves right in front of him and obviously paying him no heed.

With a cold snort, he swung his Siming Spade towards Zhu Bajie and Sun Wukong, attacking them.

"Humph!" Sun Wukong snorted coldly, knocked the demon’s weapon away with his staff, and then lifting his leg, delivered a flying kick straight into the demon’s belly. The demon let out a pained howl and was sent flying, crashing into the stone wall, and instantly bruising his nose and swelling his face.

Sun Wukong burst into laughter and said, "My son, with your meager skills, you still dare to play the thief."

Sun Wukong’s strength was formidable, to begin with.

And the power of the Yellow Lion Demon was mediocre at best. So, after just a brief encounter, the Yellow Lion Demon was sent flying by a kick from Sun Wukong and smashed into the stone wall, his face bruised and swollen in a pathetic state.

Zhu Bajie, watching this unfold, couldn’t help but laugh out loud as well. "You can’t be serious, is that all the skill you have? And yet you dare to raise your hand against us?"

Embarrassed and furious, the Yellow Lion Demon, having witnessed Sun Wukong’s prowess, knew that Sun Wukong was formidable and that he was no match for him, so he dared not fight any longer.

The demon struggled to his feet, threw the Siming Spade at Sun Wukong, and then turned to flee into the cave.

With a flick of his staff, Sun Wukong deflected the incoming spade, which transformed into a streak of cold light and flew back to its original spot.

Just as the Yellow Lion Demon made a few strides into his escape, the Siming Spade struck his right leg unexpectedly, eliciting a painful scream from him before he plunged to the ground.

Quick on his heels, Sun Wukong lunged forward, and a strand of Monkey Fur appeared in his hand, transforming into the Binding Immortal Rope.

He threw it on the Yellow Lion Demon and instantly bound him up like a rice dumpling. No matter how much the demon struggled, he couldn’t escape. With no other choice, he kneeled down to beg for mercy, "Immortal, please spare my life. I was blinded by greed and took your magical treasures. Please, have mercy and spare my meager life. I will be eternally grateful for your kindness."

Zhu Bajie, impatient, stepped forward, grabbed the Yellow Lion Demon by the neck, and angrily demanded, "You vile demon, you’ve got some nerve! Where is my weapon?"

"It’s kept in the back of the cave!" the Yellow Lion Demon hurriedly explained.

"Lead me there, now!" Zhu Bajie yanked the Yellow Lion Demon along to the back of the cave, where they indeed found all three of their weapons standing there.

Overjoyed, Sun Wukong promptly tossed the Yellow Lion Demon aside, leaped forward, and snatched up the Nine-toothed Rake. He turned to the Yellow Lion Demon and scolded, "You brazen demon, to think you’d dare to steal Old Pig’s weapon. Stretch out your neck, and let Old Pig give you a few good rakes first."

"Please, spare me, Immortal, I won’t dare do it again," the Yellow Lion Demon begged for mercy once more.

"Begging for mercy now, isn’t it a bit too late?" Zhu Bajie, unwilling to let the demon off, charged forward with his Golden Hoop.

Sun Wukong quickly stopped Zhu Bajie and said with a smile, "Hold on, Bajie, if you beat him with that staff now, won’t you kill him?"

Zhu Bajie looked puzzled and said, "For a demon , the fewer there are, the better. What use is there in keeping him?"

"Don’t forget, he has a Great Demon backing him up!"
