Chapter 359: Chapter 359

As numerous monsters knelt down one after another, their faces were essentially filled with the color of regret, remorseful for their past deeds.

Xuanzang was very pleased with the monsters’ reactions. He then swept his gaze over to the cave and spoke, "What other demons are there in that cave?"

Several demons respectfully replied, "Holy Monk, that is the dwelling of the Lion Camel Ridge Demon King!"

Upon hearing this, Sand Monk’s eyes flashed. These demons were already troublesome enough, let alone a Demon King.

However, if they could subdue the Demon King, it would be of tremendous benefit to them.

"Follow me inside, let’s offer Universal Salvation to your Great King as well!"

Xuanzang said politely with his palms pressed together.

Upon hearing Xuanzang’s words, these demons actually nodded their heads. To offer salvation to their Great King was a magnificent blessing. Their Great King had caused the deaths of countless people.

If they could bring about his Universal Salvation, they could accumulate a great deal of karmic virtue.

Having said this, he strode forth with great purpose.

Sand Monk followed behind him, and then came the demons who had already been saved.

Although Xuanzang was aware of the viciousness of the demons here, his expression turned even grimmer after entering the Lion Camel Cave.

Before his eyes lay mountains of corpses and seas of blood, countless lost souls.

It was evident what atrocities these demons had committed in the past, how many people they had harmed.

Xuanzang’s expression darkened and became more troubled.

On his journey thus far, he had encountered no shortage of demons but had never seen a demon’s dwelling so horrifying.

He slowly brought his hands together in front of the mountains of corpses and seas of blood, and the endless souls, and said, "I have arrived; you can rest now."

At this moment, countless wronged spirits seemed to find peace and departed.

They reentered the cycle of Reincarnation.

Even as they left, they pressed their palms together toward Xuanzang before making their departure.

Xuanzang stepped directly into the second gateway of the Lion Camel Cave, entering the cave heaven and blessed land.

At this moment, inside the Lion Camel Cave, Sun Wukong and the Green Fur Lion were in fierce battle, with the Green Fur Lion’s gaping maw threatening to swallow the sky, and Sun Wukong wielding his Jingu Bang, fearless even against the long-reputed Green Fur Lion.

But on the other side, Zhu Bajie was starting to face considerable danger.

Zhu Bajie’s strength could not match that of Sun Wukong, and after a short while, he found himself in a perilous situation, his power waning in battle.

Seeing this, the White Elephant took the opportunity to strike Zhu Bajie with its trunk.

Zhu Bajie felt as if his soul had been whipped, crying out in pain.

The White Elephant looked at Zhu Bajie’s miserable state and couldn’t help but laugh, "Die, pig, scream! This is the consequence of provoking us!"

During this exchange, the White Elephant continued to attack relentlessly.

Its trunk furiously lashed against Zhu Bajie’s body.

Zhu Bajie felt as if his soul were being shattered and could do nothing but wail in agony.

Just then, the Green Fur Lion shouted, "Second brother, finish off that pig quickly, and then come help!"

Although he was long-reputed, it was only after battling Sun Wukong that he realized how troublesome Wukong could be.

He found himself unable to get the upper hand and called out to the White Elephant to join him against Sun Wukong.

The White Elephant nodded at the Green Fur Lion’s call, "Alright, big brother!"

The White Elephant kicked Zhu Bajie aside, aimed his long spear at Zhu Bajie’s face, and sneered, "Die, pig, you’ve met your end!"

Zhu Bajie, unwilling to meet his fate, cried out, "Brother Monkey, save me!"

The White Elephant, hearing Zhu Bajie’s plea, disdainfully said, "Your Brother Monkey is busy. Even the Buddha Ancestor couldn’t save you today!"

"Amitabha Buddha, I hope you two benefactors can lay down the butcher’s knife and instantly attain Buddhahood!"

It was then that Xuanzang’s voice arose.

The White Elephant turned around upon hearing this.

A loud noise echoed as their gate was kicked open, and Xuanzang, dressed in his kasaya and with a stern expression, walked in.

Sand Monk was by his side.

Behind them followed countless Demons and Monsters.

"So you are Xuanzang. You truly possess some skill!"

The White Elephant looked and saw that even his subordinates were showing expressions of mercy, clearly having been converted; otherwise, they would not exhibit such a demeanor.

"However, you had the way to heaven yet you did not take it; you found no door to hell yet you trespassed. It’s an excellent opportunity for us to capture you!"

The White Elephant wasted no words and leapt towards Xuanzang, swinging its trunk to smash at him.

Many demons were about to take action when Sand Monk, holding his treasure staff, raised his hand to block the White Elephant’s trunk.

"Amitabha Buddha, our Buddha is merciful. Lay down your butcher’s knife!"

Xuanzang brought his palms together and chanted words of Universal Salvation.

Behind him, countless Buddha’s lights of Reincarnation appeared.

In an instant, the White Elephant’s eyes became lost within them.

Although he had long heard of Xuanzang’s exceptional strength and his powerful ability to offer Universal Salvation, he never anticipated that even he might be unable to resist it.

It was as if the silhouettes of countless Buddhas enveloped him, leading him to commence his regret for the past.

He gradually knelt down.

His hands also involuntarily came together in prayer.

"Second Brother, what are you doing!"

Hearing the White Elephant actually put his hands together in prayer, the Green Fur Lion roared out loud.

"Big Brother, the mercy of Buddha is great, let us convert,"

the White Elephant couldn’t help but speak out as well.

"Second Brother, you..."

Just at that moment, a powerful aura swept in.

Moreover, a terrifying sound of Buddhist chanting swept in, coalescing around him.

Following that, some Buddhas appeared around him with countless sounds of Buddhist chanting sweeping in.

The Green Fur Lion, feeling such a baptism of Buddhist chanting, was struck with a moment of trance as if he were being universally saved.

For them, such a feeling was worse than death.

The last time he felt this was in Ancient Times.

He never imagined that in an era where Saints were in seclusion and Quasi-Saints did not emerge, someone would still give him such a feeling...

"How could you possibly possess such The Power of Universal Salvation, even Buddhism isn’t this strong!"

The Green Fur Lion’s face showed disbelief.

He and the White Elephant were also forcibly subdued by a few Bodhisattvas of Buddhism, as for converting, that was out of the question.

But now, feeling such terrifying Buddhist chanting, the Green Fur Lion truly felt like he was being universally saved.

"Is this Xuanzang? No one is stopping his power of Universal Salvation; even I’m being saved?"

The Green Fur Lion was shocked and realized only then that he had vastly underestimated this Xuanzang and was horribly wrong.

In this era when Saints did not emerge, it was simply not something human power could contend with...

"No wonder Buddhism vaguely warned us to be careful, it’s just a pity that they did not take heed, still wanting to capture Xuanzang and present him to the Golden-Winged Roc."

The Green Fur Lion couldn’t help feeling remorse, but as the Buddhist chanting swirled around, in an instant, he also came to understand the Buddhist way and regretted his past wrongdoings.

Just like that, two powerful Demon Kings disappeared, replaced by two Buddhas converted to Buddhism.

Sun Wukong and Zhu Bajie, with Xuanzang, continued on their way.

Elsewhere, within Lion Camel City.

Covering tens of thousands of miles, the city boasted splendid towers and pavilions standing in great numbers...

However, within this great city, there were no humans to be seen; on the ground and in the sky, there were only Demons and Monsters.

Seated in meditative pose within one of the great halls was none other than the third Great King, the Golden-Winged Roc!

At this moment, his eyebrows were furrowed, his face perplexed, not understanding why he suddenly felt a sense of unease as if something had happened.

Behind him lay the rear courtyard of the Imperial Palace, with buildings unlike those at the front, flanked by mountains and water, with pavilions amid the blooming flowers and birdsong, and even the monsters had taken human forms, mostly female, a pleasing sight to behold as they bustled to and fro...

A female demon walked in.

But the Golden-Winged Roc paid no attention to her and instead flew out of the Imperial Palace, soaring towards Lion Camel Ridge.

With the speed of the Golden-Winged Roc, it nearly took just the blink of an eye to reach Lion Camel Ridge.

He vaguely sensed that something might have happened at Lion Camel Ridge.

Upon arriving, he suddenly saw a little demon waving from the mountain top: "Third Great King! You’re back. I heard that Little Whirlwind from the third band has captured Zhu Bajie and is delivering him for the enjoyment of the First and Second Great Kings!"

Upon hearing this, the Great Roc Eagle was stunned, "They captured Zhu Bajie? But did they see Sun Wukong and Xuanzang?"

The little demon shook his head, indicating he hadn’t seen them.

The Great Roc Eagle felt slightly disappointed...

But he also wondered if he was perhaps just worrying over nothing?

Without further delay, he rose into the sky and in an instant was back at Lion Camel Ridge, not taking the main gate but rather passing over from above, entering through an invisible gateway into the Cave Heaven and Blessed Land.

He also kept a watchful eye, glancing at the cave entrance as he passed; the million Demon Soldiers were still there.

This meant that Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie, and the others had not taken action, or, if they had, they had been subdued by his own brothers.

With this thought, he breathed a sigh of relief, then shouted loudly, "Big Brother, Second Brother, I heard you captured Zhu Bajie? I want to taste Marshal Tianpeng’s flavor too, hahaha..."

As he spoke, he descended from the sky...

But at the third gate, what he saw was a multitude of Demons sitting in meditative poses, reciting Buddhist scriptures, with White Elephant and Green Fur Lion right in the middle.

"Big Brother, Second Brother, what happened to you?"

Seeing their state, the Golden-Winged Roc was deeply shaken and his face showed an expression of horror.

"Third Brother, turning back is the shore, why not convert to our Buddha?"

the White Elephant said aloud.

"Big Brother, Second Brother, we’ve been suppressed by Buddhism for so many years, now that we’ve finally left Mount Meru, how can we bow our heads ? We should eat that Xuanzang and then suppress the scripture seekers!"

The Golden-Winged Roc roared out loud.

"It seems I need to reawaken your demon nature, let us together capture those scripture seekers!"

The Golden-Winged Roc emitted a rich Monster Energy, sweeping directly towards the White Elephant and Green Fur Lion.
