Chapter 326: Chapter 326

"Great King! Are you alright?" the little demons asked with concerned faces.

The Yellow Brow King slapped the head of the little demon with annoyance and cursed fiercely, "Do I look like nothing is wrong?"

Seeing this, another little demon quickly chimed in, "Great King, you’re injured. You should go back and rest!"

Suddenly recalling something, the Yellow Brow King asked urgently, "Where’s that Monk Xuanzang?"

"Reporting to the Great King, Tang Monk and his Zhu Bajie have both escaped!" a little demon cautiously replied.

"What?" The Yellow Brow King’s eyes bulged as he asked loudly, "You bunch of idiots, where did they run off to?"

"Please, Great King, do not be angry. Since Monk Xuanzang is on his journey to the Western Heaven for scriptures, they must have fled westward," a rather clever little demon quickly answered.

"Damn it!" The Yellow Brow King swore through gritted teeth, "Sun Wukong and the Great General Who Lifts the Curtain have made a fool of me; how could I just let them get away!"

"They’ve all run away, but I refuse to believe that old monk can outpace us, chase after them!"

On the other side, Zhu Bajie quietly led Xuanzang out of the demon cave, fleeing down the road towards the west, just a few miles out.

"That’s not right, Wuneng. We may have escaped, but we left our luggage in the demon cave."

Zhu Bajie glanced over at Xuanzang and said, "Master, what’s so important about belongings? We’ve barely escaped with our lives, why bother about luggage, let’s just run for our lives!"

Xuanzang quickly waved his hands and said, "Of course, lives are more important but our belongings are too."

"The pack contains our pass permit, brocade bat kasaya, and purple-gold bowl, all Buddhism’s supreme treasures, how can we just abandon them?"

If Little White Dragon heard this, he would probably be even more depressed. Do you just notice the missing luggage and not that you’re missing me, your Dragon Horse?

Zhu Bajie quickly urged, "The luggage is important, but there’s no rush at this moment. That loud noise we heard earlier could be heard from a hundred miles away; I bet it has already alerted the demons!"

"We can’t withstand the power of that Monster’s treasure. We must prioritize saving our skins, lest we get caught again by the demons, which would be no fun!"

"As for the luggage, don’t worry; once this blows over, let Brother Monkey steal it back for us. Pilgrim may have no other skills, but his talent for thievery is indeed the best in the world!"

"He even stole the immortal pills from the Grand Elder of the Supreme Way, let alone a few pieces of luggage. It’s more important for us to flee for our lives now."

Xuanzang thought it over and agreed. He didn’t want to be captured by the demons again.

Although he had some abilities and his Method of Universal Salvation could subdue most Demons and Monsters, the human-seed bag of that demon was truly dreadful.

Unable to resist, he nodded and agreed.

So he nodded and said, "Well then, let’s leave this place. We’ll find a hidden spot ahead where we can hide first and then figure out how to retrieve our luggage."

Zhu Bajie sighed in relief when he saw he had persuaded Xuanzang.

Thus, the two continued their desperate escape towards the Western Direction.

Meanwhile, the Yellow Browed Old Demon had already mobilized four to five thousand demons to chase after them, swarming everywhere in pursuit.

The Yellow Brow King, enduring his severe pain, hovered through the sky westward in search of them.

Xuanzang, being of mortal flesh, couldn’t run very fast even if he tried his hardest, and not just the Yellow Brow King, even a regular little demon could easily catch up to him.

As expected, before long, the demons caught up. The Yellow Brow King, baring his teeth in rage, cursed, "So you think you can escape, Xuanzang? Let’s see how Buddha Lord deals with you."

Suffering from his wounds, the Yellow Brow King was too lazy to take action himself. He simply threw out the human-seed bag.

Zhu Bajie quickly brought out his weapon, guarding Xuanzang’s side. Seeing the surrounding crowd of demons close in, both became extremely anxious.

"Not this cursed bag again!"

At this moment, upon seeing the Yellow Brow King throw a tattered sack, Zhu Bajie couldn’t help but curse silently.

Before Zhu Bajie and Xuanzang could react,

a massive suction force came upon them. Xuanzang was sucked in first, followed by Zhu Bajie, who was also hoovered into the human-seed bag, utterly powerless to resist.

The Yellow Brow King caught the human-seed bag with one hand and tied it around his waist, snorting coldly, "Humph! With just you lot, you thought you could escape from the palm of Buddha Lord’s hand."

At this time, Sun Wukong and Sand Monk, who had dodged the Yellow Brow King’s shabby bag, were pursuing in Xuanzang’s direction.

However, by the time they approached the vicinity, Sun Wukong and Sand Monk saw what had happened. Sand Monk sighed and said, "Ah, Master! What sins did you commit in your last life? Every step in this life encounters demons, and now you’ve been caught again. What shall we do?"

Sun Wukong seemed unworried and smiled, "Junior Brother Sand, everything is predestined; there’s no need to worry."

"Let’s find a way to subdue this demon. Without conquering this demon, your master can’t escape Mini Western Heaven."

Sand Monk knew this, but still clenched his teeth and said, "This demon’s ability is rather mediocre; it’s just that bag that’s powerful. I don’t know what treasure it is."

"Such a treasure must belong to a Buddha; even if we wanted to steal it, it probably wouldn’t do any good!"

Sun Wukong had refined the Jingu Bang, and this Yellow Brow King’s treasure was probably even more powerful than his Jingu Bang.

Sand Monk knew this too, but still frowned and said, "If that’s the case, then it won’t work. Are we unable to deal with this monster now?"

Wukong furrowed his brows and thought for a while, and after a moment he said, "Fighting head-on definitely won’t work right now. To deal with this monster, we can only outsmart him."

"Outsmart him?" Sand Monk slightly raised his eyebrows and asked, "Could it be that eldest brother has already thought of a way to deal with this monster?"

Sun Wukong nodded and said, "Indeed, I have thought of a method, but I’m not sure if it will work."

"What method? Speak up! Speak up!" Sand Monk, wanting to rescue his master as soon as possible, asked even more impatiently.

So, Sun Wukong quietly shared his plan with Sand Monk.

Hearing Sun Wukong’s words, Sand Monk’s eyes also started to turn, and he nodded repeatedly and said, "Eldest brother is indeed clever, this method might work."

A smile appeared on Sun Wukong’s face as he said, "When the time comes, we must adapt to the situation; it would be best to find out the origins of this demon. Think about it!"

"This monster has such an incredible magical treasure in his hands; could he really be a demon from the mortal realm?"

"Good!" Sand Monk nodded and said, "As long as we can subdue this monster, we will follow eldest brother’s lead in everything.

By then, daylight had already arrived, and the Yellow Brow King had taken his group of little demons back to the cave.

Sun Wukong and Sand Monk quietly descended from their cloud, took advantage of the unguarded moment to dispose of two little demons, and then, disguising themselves as those two little demons, sneaked back into the demon cave.

Just as they entered the cave, they heard the Yellow Brow King curse, "Damn that Sun Wukong and that Great General Who Lifts the Curtain! Buddha Lord, I definitely won’t spare them!"

"You all, make sure you keep a good watch on Xuanzang. As long as we have Xuanzang in hand, there’s no worry they won’t come back. Then watch as Buddha Lord flays them alive."

Sun Wukong and Sand Monk hid among the crowd of demons, watching with wide-open eyes as a group of little demons tied up Xuanzang and the others like zongzi and shoved them towards the back.

Sand Monk, seeing his master suffer, felt unbearable and wanted to rush to his rescue, but he was stopped by Sun Wukong. While no one was paying attention, the two quietly left the hall.

"A little impatience spoils great plans. Let’s follow the plan, and once we subdue the Demon King, won’t it be easy to rescue master?" Sun Wukong said to Sand Monk with a frown.

"Hmm! Eldest brother makes sense, but where exactly is their kitchen?" Sand Monk looked around at this time but still couldn’t find the kitchen.

Sun Wukong offhandedly said, "Search carefully, and we’ll find it."

As they conversed, the two began to search for the kitchen along a path.

The two wound their way around, no knowing how far they had gone, when they heard voices of two demons speaking in a cave room nearby.

One of the demons said, "Old fox, can’t you hurry it up? The Great King is injured and in a foul mood! If you’re slow, and the Great King becomes enraged, be careful your little life isn’t at risk."

The old fox replied with some impatience, "Why the rush? I couldn’t find the immortal pill I made last time for healing the Great King. Here it is, finally found it."

"I say, old fox, is your shoddy elixir really effective?" the little demon who had spoken earlier continued to ask.

"Nonsense! The immortal pills I refine are guaranteed to cure the illness, and I assure you that they will immediately restore the Great King to his original state," declared the old fox confidently.

Sun Wukong and Sand Monk, overhearing this from outside, exchanged a glance, unable to hide the gleam in their eyes.

Then they pushed open the door and walked in, just as the two demons were getting ready to leave.

At this moment, Sun Wukong and Sand Monk also had a clear view of the two figures.

One was tall and burly, with an abundance of body hair, and a face that was neither wolf nor human, surely a wolf demon.

The other was a small old man in a Daoist robe, his face covered with wrinkles, sallow skin, and a head of disheveled hair and a long beard that were both golden-yellow.

With a flash of golden light in his eyes, Sun Wukong recognized the sallow old man as a fox spirit.

"What are you two doing here?" asked the wolf demon.

"The Great King is getting impatient and sent us brothers here to hurry you up," Sun Wukong casually said.

"What hurry! We’re headed there now," the old fox said with impatience, looking up to walk out.

At that moment, Sand Monk quickly shut the door, and Wukong cast an immobilization spell on the two demons.

With the strength of these two demons, they were no match for Sun Wukong’s power; to immobilize them was as easy as turning over his hand.

Then Sun Wukong extended his palm and gently patted the chests of the two demons.

The eyes of the two demons rolled back, and they immediately fell dead, stiff on the ground, revealing their true forms—one a gray wolf and the other a fox.

With a wave of his hand, Sun Wukong made the two corpses disappear.

After that, Sun Wukong changed his form to that of the old fox, then turned to Sand Monk, who also transformed into the gray wolf.
