Chapter 62: Chapter 62

Ashley was patiently waiting for Stella to come back so that she could continue instigating her against everybody.

After some time when Stella back to the living room, she had much more gloomy expressions on her face; it seemed like anytime she would burst into tears.

"Hey Stella, come join me."

Ashley was showing her hand to Stella and invited her to sit with her. Stella gulped the lump choked in her throat, composed herself, and walked towards Ashley who was watching some show on the television.

Although Ashley's gaze was on the television, all her attention was on Stella. She was looking at her from the corner of her eyes and observing her expressions.

"Hey, Ashley."

Stella greeted with a faint smile and sat beside her looking at the tv screen with a gloomy expression.

For some time, Ashley pretended as if nothing has happened and waited for Stella to say what Julia had said to her. According to Ashley's analysis, Julia must be getting angry with Stella, that's why she had an even gloomier expression since she is back. Now Ashley couldn't wait anymore to know what Julia had said to Stella.

"Stella, what did mom say, you are looking quite upset?" Ashley asked in a soft but concerned tone.

"Nothing," Stella said with a faint smile and again turned her gaze towards the tv screen.

Nothing.

Ashley couldn't believe Stella. She was definitely hiding something. It must be embarrassing, that's why Stella didn't want to tell her. Ashley was even more excited thinking about it.

"Hmm, it's good that she said nothing, otherwise she was looking quite angry." Ashley again started provoking Stella.

"Is it, I don't think so," Stella said carelessly to finish the topic but Ashley didn't want to let it go. She had ulterior motives.

"Yes, even yesterday she was quite upset because of your absence and she has to deal with all the work." Ashley leaned towards Stella and said in a gossiping tone.

Stella turned her face and gave only one glare to Ashley, then again turned her face, saying nothing. Ashley thought her words had hit Stella, and she continued igniting her.

"Actually, you used to take care of every single thing of this palace, and because you took a break of a day, and they had to deal with everything, perhaps they have got irritated."

"Hmm, perhaps, I will look after it."

Stella said earnestly, stood up from the chair, and moved from there because she couldn't take Ashley's gossip anymore.

In the hospital, inside the obstetrics and gynecology department, in the doctor's cabin, the doctor took Sarah for a checkup, and Stefan was sitting opposite the doctor's desk and waited eagerly.

A few minutes later, the doctor came back with Sarah just behind her.

"Doctor, is everything alright, how is she?" Stefan asked impatiently as soon as he saw the two of them.

"Mrs. Walter, I guess this is your first baby." The doctor didn't answer Stefan, but looked at Sarah and asked, then started writing something on the paper.

"Yes..." Sarah nodded her head.

"But is she alright, doctor, I hope there isn't any problem, right?" Stefan again asked impatiently.

"Yes, other than slight weakness everything is ok. Mrs. Walter, I am recommending you for some tests, please go with the nurse. Nurse, please escort Mrs. Walter to the examination room."

The doctor wrote a prescription and gave it to the nurse and instructed her to take care of Sarah. The nurse nodded obediently and escorted Sarah, but Stefan stopped.

"Hold on, let me accompany my wife."

Stefan wanted to stand up and go with Sarah, but the doctor stopped him.

"Mr. Walter, don't worry; she will take care of Mrs. Walter. Let them go."

Stefan reluctantly sat back on the chair, and Sarah walked out with the nurse after assuring Stefan. "Don't worry I will be fine."

When Sarah and the nurse went out, the doctor looked at Stefan solemnly.

"Mr. Walter, I have to tell you a very important thing about Mrs. Walter's health, though she is looking normal, apart from her weakness nothing much, but the baby seems a little unstable and this can be because perhaps Mrs. Walter is emotionally not well. Her emotions need to be stable, otherwise, it can lead her to a miscarriage. Mr. Walter, do you understand what I want to say?"

The doctor looked at Stefan tentatively, and he nodded his head.

"Don't worry doctor, from now on Sarah will always be happy."

Stefan was saying more to himself than to the doctor. He can't even think about Sarah having a miscarriage when he knows about her affection towards the baby in her womb.

After that doctor advised a few more things, she made a diet plan for Sarah and prescribed some medicines for the initial stage of pregnancy.

Stefan and Sarah drove off towards the palace and on the way back Stefan was trying to talk to Sarah about many things to cheer her up, but she not only remained silent, but solemn as well. She was leaning on the back of the seat and reading some good articles about the baby on her mobile.

Even after coming back from the hospital, she was mostly silent.

When Julia and Amy asked about the doctor's examination result she informed solemnly that she had some weakness, and a few medicines and a diet plan had been suggested, that's all.

They both got scared of her baby and sent her to her room to take a complete rest. Even once in the room she didn't even pay heed to her work, rather only trying to gain more and more knowledge regarding the baby.

Stefan's face was showing his helplessness, but he didn't know how to make Sarah normal as before. All her emotional words, loving gestures, care for her failed to make her realize his feelings for her.

The more they were solemn and silent, the more Ashley was thrilled in her heart. All the prayers of her malicious heart have been fulfilled; now Sarah is also not happy like her.

It continued for the whole day and Sarah also didn't come down again till the next day and between all this Ashley also continued provoking Stella.

The next day was miraculous when Stefan and Sarah came down in each other's embrace with a wide smile on their faces. Stefan was protectively leading Sarah from the stairs, and she was smiling shyly in his embrace.

Everybody was surprised at first, then they all had an ear-to-ear smile on their faces, but Ashley was stunned, she was not getting what had happened suddenly, how could they both have patched up, when they both had separate views in one situation.

Did Sarah agree to abort their baby or Stefan has accepted the baby wholeheartedly?

"Are you shocked?"

Ashley was actually in a grave shock and forgot to blink her eyes looking at Sarah's smiling face. A voice in her ear helped her recover from her shock, but seeing the owner of the voice, she once again widened her eyes in shock.
