"What's wrong, is it unreachable?"

Sarah's smirk alarmed Ashley's brain that something is amiss, she went blank for few minutes with the thought that Ronald will be snatched from her. The thought made her panic.

"Sarah, what is all this? Tell me what did you both do to my Ronald, where is he?"

Sarah enjoys her anxiety and said innocently, "Dear sister, please have your tea first."

Ashley again dialed Ronald's number, but it wasn't connected, now she lost her temper, and yell, "Sarah, tell me first what is all this, why Ronald's number is unreachable? He must have reached New York long back."

Sarah didn't answer Ashley's questions, sat on the couch royally with the teacup in hand, and took a sip, "Alright, if don't want the tea then let me have it, you keep on calling."

Ashley lost the last bit of her patience, she mounted up from the bed, stood, threw her phone aggravated ly, and walked towards Sarah.

"Sarah, don't act smart otherwise you will see the worst side of mine."

Sarah didn't buy her threat but said with a fake shocked face, "Still worsen? I thought I have seen enough."

Ashley was taken aback and Sarah continued calmly, "But you can see the good side of mine, see you mounted up on your feet, your wound healed. Wow, let share the great news with everybody."

Sarah said with a wide smile and walked out.

"Sarah, wait....." Ashley was panicked and followed her behind to stop Sarah, but she couldn't get close to her only heard her blabber to herself, "Wow, big aunt will be joyful."

"Shit, this Sarah will ruin my entire plan. If anybody will come to know that I was faking an injury then I have to face mom's wrath."

Ashley mumbles and increased her pace towards the direction Sarah went. Ashley was climbing down the stairs when she listens to Julia's voice talking to Stefan about Ronald. She stopped halfway on the stairs.

"Stefan, what's wrong with Ronald, why his mobile is unreachable since yesterday?"

"Big aunt, Ronald's number has changed, wait let me call him and let you talk to him."

Stefan called on Ronald's new number and forward his mobile to Julia, she spoke to her son, then only a pondering heart of a mother came to ease. Julia sighed after talking to Ronald and gave Stefan's mobile back to him.

Now only Ashley realized that Ronald is fine in New York and only his number has changed.

She immediately thought to go back and carry on her act of being injured, she will take Ronald's new number later from Julia.

Before she could slip away, Sarah threw her net and trapped her.

"Big aunt, look, Ashley is here. Now she can walk by herself, her wound healed, isn't it great?" Sarah greeted her teeth and said esthetically, pointing a finger at the stairs where Ashley was standing.

Obviously, everybody was happy for her but Julia felt relax. She is a good mother as well as a good mother-in-law. All this time she was concerned for Ashley's fast recovery. During Ronald's absence, she is her responsibility.

"Ashley, come, darling, come to mom."

Julia stretched her hand towards Ashley and called her lovingly, Ashley knows now she can't escape, she reluctantly walked towards Julia and held her hand with a fake smile.

"How this miracle happened, suddenly?"

"Big aunt let me tell you how this happened."

Before Ashley cooks any story, Sarah immediately interrupts and this made Ashley's face pale.

Now Sarah will definitely expose her.

"Actually, big aunt, my granny has given me a mythic oil contained Chinese herbs, that hot oil massage is a miraculous healing power for all kinds of pain. I messaged Ashley's foot and see she is completely fine now, right Ashely?"

Sarah grinds her teeth and raised her eyebrows; Ashley clenched her fist and before faking a genuine smile she nodded her head.

Ashley suppressed her resentment for Sarah and turned to Julia, "Mom, what's wrong with Ronald's mobile, even I was trying but couldn't get through?"

"He has lost his mobile on the way to and a few hours before he got his new number."

"Then how come Stefan has his new number, but none of us?"

Ashley is suspicious that Ronald's mobile has missing and got a new number as he lands in New York is not an incident but a plan for Stefan and Sarah.

She indirectly tried to fill Julia's ears but Julia was joyous after talking to Ronald and didn't pay heed to anything.

"I don't know, you can ask Stefan. I spoke to my son, he is fine, I can relax now."

Julia said in a careless tone, merry with the thoughts of her son, and went from there, leaving Ashley alone with Stefan and Sarah. Ashley knew they both will not answer any of her questions and if possible they will torment her.

She turned around and saw Stefan and Sarah has an evil smirk when they were looking towards her. Ashley stamped her foot on the floor and marched towards her room.

Stefan and Sarah clapped their hands and laughed; Amy joined them, too.

"Wonderful Sarah, I am proud of you." Amy patted her shoulder.

"After all, she is my angel," Stefan said in his most regular line what he always uses whenever he is proud of Sarah, and circled his arm around her shoulder in front of Amy.

Sarah couldn't believe Stefan actually made this move in front of his mother, he made her embarrassed. Before she could jerk his hand, Amy came to him and smack his hand on her shoulder.

"Stefan, you are at the height of shamelessness, don't think that I don't know how you always romance with your wife openly in front of others. Regard your elders, got it?" Amy scolded Stefan.

Not only Sarah but Stefan was also surprised that his naughty exploit is not hidden from his mother.

Stefan immediately let go of Sarah's shoulder and scratch his neck to hide his embarrassment and stride from there, behind him Sarah also ran away.

Ashley was venting her anger on the lifeless stuff with a red fierce face and fire-spitting eyes like stabbing Sarah and Stefan's chest.

After smashing almost everything on the floor, Ashley was exhausted and sweaty. She sat on the bed and held her head, with constant lingering thoughts in mind.

"How could Sarah get to know that nothing has happened to my foot, I am not injured. Why Ronald didn't call anybody since he flew to New York and Stefan has his new number but he didn't tell anybody until mom asked. What is all this and what are Stefan and Sarah up to?"

Even after thinking for a long, she couldn't get the answer to what is happening around her.
