Chapter 38: Chapter 38

'Sarah, Stefan, you both are doing wrong by stepping on my marriage separating me and Ronald for your selfishness. I can't let you succeed in your malicious act.' She thought with jealousy.

Ashley heard Ronald's conversation with Sarah and Stefan and assumed their motive according to her insecurities.

She has done wrong many wrong things to get Ronald, finally, after being successful she always has the fear that her wrong deeds will be exposed and she will lose Ronald forever.

After taking their time of two minutes, Sarah and Stefan finally climbed down the stairs and Ronald's lips curled into a naughty smile with an idea of teasing them.

"Aunt Amy, now when my brother- and sister-in-law finally came, do we get the breakfast?"

Sarah widens her big doe eyes and shot daggers at Ronald by her eyes, but he winks at her. Stefan clenched his fist and shows it to Ronald, threatening him.

"Shut up naughty boy, you know we all eat breakfast on routine."

Amy knew Ronald is teasing Sarah and Stefan, she said to their aid, but Ronald continued. He is in a good mood because Stefan solved his problem.

"Aunt Amy, you are not wrong either, but my brother and sister-in-law appeared in the Walter mansion's living hall like the chief guests, shouldn't we applaud them?"

"Let me give you a big bang applaud, how about that?" Stefan shows his palm to Ronald to slap him, Ronald took two steps back and hides behind Julia.

Everybody presents in the hall laughed seeing the loving moments to brothers after many years. Since the day Stefan was chased out of the house five years ago, Stefan and Ronald were not like as they were back in the past. Now after so many years they again started teasing each other as they used to do in the past.

Julia was extremely happy because just an evening before his son was in a deep grievance which pained her heart, now when he is cheerful and smiling like before, her heart at ease.

Definitely, Ashley is resenting the entire harmonious scene of the family because she is dissatisfied with her relation.

"Alright, let move to more breakfast first," Julia said.

Everybody nod and was about to move when Ashley called Sarah in pure hatred, look down on her, "Sarah......"

Her call for Sarah drags everybody's attention.

"You should wake up early. Now you are not the Smith family's daughter anymore, daughter-in-law of the Walter family. Stop being like a carefree and reckless girl as you were back in past and be responsible. Everybody was waiting for you and Stefan only for breakfast."

"Ashley, you will never change. Stop poking your nose in other's matters. Walter family members do not meddle in each other's personal affairs, did you get it? Sarah is not late but on time."

"Aunt Amy, you will never see find any mistake because Sarah is your daughter-in-law, whatever she will do, she is perfect for you. Aren't you biased when it comes to Sarah?"

Ashely didn't realize what is she doing in order to prove Sarah wrong. This is Walter's clan, and they pay equal respect to all elders whether they are their parents or uncle and aunt. Nobody is allowed to be rude to elders, if any of them have anything to say they can say it politely but insolence isn't tolerable.

"Ashley, Amy is the aunt of your husband, how could you be so rude? Be polite when you are talking to elders, this is Walters clan, not the house of Miller's family."

"Even Sarah is elder than you as per the position in Walters clan and Amy is correct, Sarah is on time. If she will be late ever or commit any mistake, we elders are here to judge her and scold her, being youngest, you are not allowed to interfere in such matters of the clan. It's better you pay attention to your life."

Julia is all high and strict for the family all her life, she has never neglected her duties as an elder daughter-in-law and host of the entire clan. She always makes the right judgment whether it is about her own child or niece and nephew, she treats them all equally.

She found Ashley wrong; she didn't hesitate to scold her in front of everybody because disrespect of the elders is not allowed in the Walters clan.

Ashley realized that she spoke too much because she was holding grudges against Sarah.

She crouches her head in embarrassment but didn't apologize.

'Although I spoke too much, I said nothing wrong. Sarah is late today.'

Everybody looked at her thought if she has realized her mistake she will apologize, but she didn't. then Julia was again going to say something, but Amy stopped her.

"Let it be elder sister, we are getting late for breakfast, let's go."

All moved from there, but Ashley rooted to her place. Sarah smirks, seeing Ashley's face because she knows Ashely didn't realize her mistake yet.

The Walters family eat their breakfast together and at a particular time only after the head of the family Andrew arrives.

Perhaps Ashley didn't notice, but Sarah knew that everybody was waiting for Andrew to show up.

Even though everybody was upset at Ashely's behavior at the breakfast table, still they cheered their mood because Stefan and Ronald have back like before.

"Dad, big uncle, I have news to share from all of you," Stefan said while eating.

Everybody turned their gazes at Stefan and Andrew said, "Sure, tell me."

"I am expanding my business and launched a new branch of Phoenix industries and few stores in New York. I am sure this will take my business to the new height of the sky."

"Wow....." Everybody's eyes brighten, listening to Stefan's success.

He was a college boy, when he was abandoned by his family, he was penniless when he left the city and after the hard work of five years what he achieved on his own was great enough to defeat the entire Walters ancestors' achievements.

"Stefan, I am so proud of you, what you have achieved in a short span of your career even big tycoons takes years to reach such height," Andrew said with pride.

"Congrats Stefan," everybody congrats her.

"Thank you all, actually I have to go to New York to establish my new branch and stores successfully for few months, but I am thinking in place of me let me send Ronald."

"Big uncle it will be a great boost for his career, he will learn many things, including managing work alone and can be able to make his own decision in business. For his support of my subordinates will be there, what say?"

Of course, everybody likes this idea, but Andrew and Julia are thankful to Stefan to give such a big opportunity to their son.

Only Ashley was displeased and looking for the opportunity to oppose this decision, but just a few minutes before she has created a ruckus and now feared to aggravate Julia again.
