Chapter 115: Chapter 115

The evening was quite normal. Sarah was talking to Valerie about the funny incidents related to Amy, and she was laughing hilariously.

Now, after so many days, she was again envious of Sarah; she was not only blessed with a loving husband, in fact, have such a loving family.

Just then Stella came and called Valerie, bringing her out of her thoughts. “Hey Valerie, how was your interview, hope you weren’t nervous?”

Valerie sighed, seeing Stella also asking regarding her interview. Even though only for a few days she had got such loving people around her. Alas, they are not her family. She smiled and answered, “Yes, I was quite nervous since it was my first interview and Stefan was very professional when he was in the boss’s chair. My interview was quite good and Stefan said that they will inform me after two days.”

“I know you will get this job.” Now Julia couldn’t refrain from her excitement and said her heart out.

The confidence in her tone surprised Valerie. “How?”

There was a kind of suspicion in Valerie’s eyes when she questioned Julia.

“Valerie, the big aunt is a superstitious lady. Right now, she is blabbering out of her mother’s instinct, isn’t it big aunt?” Sarah clenched her teeth and emphasized her words.

“Yes, I too was going to say that I have a strong feeling in my heart that you will get this job.”

Julia released a sigh of relief and then mumbled near Stella’s ears. “Stella, this girl is very smart, we should think twice before saying anything in front of her.”

“Absolutely mom. Now you and aunt Amy, please control your excitement, otherwise, the rest of the family members will also come to know, and then it will be hard to take care of the situation.” Stella whispered in Julia’s ears.

The evening was quite funny with Julia and Amy and their excitement and Sarah and Stella held their head thinking why had they shared such a massive secret to these too.

Finally, Sarah had to warn them she will back off from the plan if they both couldn’t seal their lips. And they both promised that they will be careful with their tongue.

Even though they had promised, that was just for the time being. They couldn’t control their excitement.

Similarly, late in the evening at the dining table, everyone was sitting and eating their dinner peacefully when suddenly Amy spoke, which shocked everybody.

“Stefan, I am telling you since you have already interviewed Valerie, and she has done such hard work for this job, then you will have to hire her only.”

Amy said in an authoritative tone, including a warning, for Stefan.

Sarah, who was drinking water, spit it out, and Stefan started coughing. Ronald rubbed his back and gave him a glass of water. Stella, Jack, and Julia were also gobsmacked, and rest the of the family members were confused.

Daniel and Andrew were looking at everybody with wide eyes. They didn’t know what was cooking between the family members because Amy and Julia had never interfered in the matters related to the company, let alone ordering for anything.

Today what has got into Amy’s head that she is behaving like this?

Even Valerie was confused, and thought, why Amy is saying this?

Everybody held their heads at their places, but before anybody could say anything, Stefan answered rudely as the boss of the company.

“That’s not possible. I am sorry mom but only the deserving candidate will get the job, I will not consider any favor in the company.”

“Yes, aunt Amy, we can’t favor anyone, and do any injustice to others.”

Jack immediately added and boosted Stefan’s words, and to not let Valerie have any doubts.

Amy wanted to say something, but Julia interrupted while staring at her enormous eyes and beckoned her to keep her mouth shut. “Amy, let them take the decisions of their business. We shouldn’t interfere. Also, Valerie is a smart girl and she will get the job by her own hard work.”

“Yes, I too believe that,” Stella said and eliminated everybody’s doubt.

Stella then mumbled in Sarah’s ears. “Sarah, I am telling you, we have made a grave mistake by revealing our secret mission to mom and aunt Amy.”

“Same thoughts, Stella, but there is no point to cry over the spilled milk. It’s too late to regret.” Sarah also answered in a baritone.

Even though Sarah said it in a very soft tone, but it was loud enough for Stefan to hear her, who was sitting beside Sarah.

He leaned towards Sarah and mumbled, “So it was you two who have revealed about it to mom and big aunt? You women can’t digest any secret.” Stefan said irritably. Now his mom and aunt will do all new crazy things.

“Excuse me, I don’t have a sick stomach. I know how to hide secrets, but it was our bad luck that they both observed us when we were pursuing Valerie to go to the office with Ronald. They both came to us and started cross-examining us. Being helpless, we had to reveal. Don’t worry. I will take care of them.” Sarah also spoke in a softer tone near Stefan’s ears, but at least her face brimming with a confident smile.

“Please, do it, otherwise you can’t contain my mom and big aunt’s over-excitement.”

After dinner, everyone went to their rooms and slept.

The next morning Stefan woke up, but today not because of Sarah’s wiggling movements but because of the sun's rays. He turned and tried to put his hand on Sarah’s shoulder, but he got a soft pillow in his hand.

Stefan opened his eyes with a jerk and shocked because Sarah was not beside him. He got up and checked the time on his wristwatch kept on the side table.

‘It’s only 6 am. How can she wake up such early in the morning that too without me waking her up?’

Stefan thought, then looked around, thinking of where she can go?

‘Hmm, she must be in the washroom, but what has made her wake up so early, is she alright?’

Stefan felt a hunch that something was wrong. He hurriedly stood up and walked towards the washroom door, knocked, and called for her.

“Sarah, are you in the washroom?”

He repeated it a few more times but did not get any reply. He anxiously opened the door, which wasn’t locked from inside, and peeked inside.

Sarah was not there. Now his anxiety grew wilder.

He can’t imagine where she could have gone so early in the morning and what had happened to her? So many thoughts crossed his mind, which made him more anxious.

He hurriedly came out and started looking for her in the whole mansion by calling her name in tension.

He was walking through the corridor looking here and there in search of Sarah when he collided with somebody.
