Chapter 108: Chapter 108

Don't know why, but Ronald didn't like it when Valerie was crying while packing her stuff, obviously to move out of Walter's palace.

"Valerie, I know you are hurt because of Stefan and he shouldn't have been so harsh to you, but you know him well, he always speaks rubbish when he is angry." Ronald tried to console her so that she will not go from here.

Valerie didn't stop the packing and said in a hoarse voice. "Whatever Ronald, Stefan was right, I should not interfere in their personal matters."

"Valerie, please don't take it at heart, actually Stefan is over possessive for Sarah. And when it comes to her health, he can cross all his lines." Ronald kept on trying to convince Valerie, but he is oblivious to how his words had pierced Valerie's heart.

Valerie's heart was sore when Ronald unintentionally spoke so much regarding Stefan's concern for Sarah.

"I can understand Ronald, Sarah is Stefan's wife, and his concern is reasonable. She is his biggest responsibility, and I don't mind about it."

Biggest responsibility? Ronald's eyebrows furrowed.

How can someone think that Sarah is Stefan's responsibility?

"Valerie, there must be some misunderstanding, Sarah is not only Stefan's responsibility but his crazy love, and his entire life."

The stuff Valerie was holding in her hand had dropped, she was beyond shock. "Love?" She mumbled to herself, but Ronald heard it.

"Yes, Stefan has fallen in love with Sarah after some time of their marriage. Now they both love each other more than anything. I wonder how you haven't noticed till now?"

Valerie was dumbfounded, listening to the last sentence of Ronald. Yes, she hadn't noticed. Or maybe she had noticed but ignored it.

She had seen what she wanted to see. Her heart wanted to believe that Stefan and Sarah do not love each other and she had boosted her misunderstanding even after witnessing several romantic moments between them.

She had not only made a fool of herself but was going to commit a mistake thinking that she can get Stefan back with her after Sarah will be gone.

Outside the room, Stefan and Sarah had come to apologize to Valerie for Stefan's harsh behavior, but stopped listening to Ronald's voice and heard their conversation. They both looked at each other in confusion.

Suddenly Valerie sat on the bed with a thud to hide her face behind her palms and started crying. She had made a big mistake when she had thought that Sarah is ill, and when that was not enough she thought perhaps Sarah was going to die soon and after that Stefan would be hers.

Her idiotic thoughts were drowning her in a pang of guilt, and it was like she couldn't face anybody, especially Stefan and Sarah.

Ronald didn't understand why she was crying out of the blue. Whatever the reason, maybe but he felt bad seeing her crying.

He sat beside her to console her, held her shoulders, and asked softly, "Valerie, do you still love my brother?"

Valerie doesn't know how to answer Ronald's question. It's true that she still has feelings for Stefan but that doesn't mean that she can't let it go. It was all a misunderstanding that she had created in her mind and with the help of it; she keeps on boosting her feelings for Stefan for no reason.

Valerie was thinking, I am upset because Stefan has someone else in his heart, but he knows nothing. Would it be good if I tell him?

"Ronald, can I trust you? I want to share something with you?" Valerie thought for a while and spoke.

"Sure, tell me?"

Valerie once again sobbed, thinking she had misunderstood everything, and the truth was entirely different.

"When Carol told me everything about the past that Ashley and Stefan joined forces and Stefan wanted to avenge my death and later Stefan and Sarah were forced to get married after listening to that I thought......" Valerie won't be able to complete her sentence and once again burst into tears.

Ronald was anxious seeing her crying while confessing something. "Valerie, please don't cry, tell me what's wrong, what are you thinking?"

"Ronald, actually I thought because Stefan and Sarah were married forcefully and perhaps Stefan still loves me and was only fulfilling his responsibilities towards Sarah and Sarah still loves you and you, too. I mean, did you understand what I want to say?"

Stefan's back stiffened, listening to Valerie's thoughts standing outside the room. He was about to enter the room, but Sarah held his hand and beckoned him not to react. "Stefan, wait and watch."

"No, Valerie, it's not true, Sarah has moved on from me the day I had left her and got married." Ronald's face was gloomy thinking about his mistake, which had ruined his entire life.

Valerie felt his pain, it wasn't so different from hers.

"Yes, I too realized that when I saw Sarah happy with Stefan, but when I came to know about Sarah's illness, I felt bad for them and then decided that I should go from here."

Illness?

Outside the room, Stefan and Sarah, and inside the room, Ronald was gobsmacked from these words of Valerie.

"Illness, what kind of illness are you talking about?" Ronald asked in confusion.

Stefan and Sarah once again restrained themselves to knock or get in to know Valerie's entire thoughts.

"Hmm, yes Sarah's illness. Though nobody told me about it, I got it when I saw Stefan's extra possessiveness towards Sarah and Sarah was also weak, and he took care of her diet and all. What's more, yesterday he went to the hospital to receive a few reports of Sarah. I got everything." Valerie said with confidence.

When she said she understood everything, even when nobody had told her, there was a proud look on her face and Ronald found it hilarious.

Not only Ronald but Stefan and Sarah also felt her words to be funny and chuckled, but Ronald couldn't control it and started laughing like a maniac seeing Valerie's innocence.

As Ronald burst into laughter, outside the room Stefan and Sarah also started laughing and immediately covered their mouths, beckoning each other not to make a noise.

Valerie saw Ronald laughing at such a serious matter and squinted her eyes in annoyance, not getting what is happening. "Ronald, are you out of your mind, why are you laughing on such a serious matter?"

"Because I can't hold my laughter in such a situation. Do you think that Sarah is ill? Oh my God, my drama queen sister-in-law is not suffering from any illness, but she is pregnant. She is just irritating my brother with her mood swings. Nothing has happened to her." Ronald said with a laugh.

Sarah's face darkened standing outside the room, she clenched her fist after listening to what Ronald had said. She clenched her teeth and mumbled, "Hmm, so I am a drama queen, and irritating? Ronald, now you are finished."

Stefan chuckled, listening to both his brother and wife's words.
