Chapter 106: Chapter 106

Valerie was crying vigorously and thinking of moving out of the Walter palace as soon as possible, but her heart was paining by just the thought of leaving Stefan again.

In fact, other than Stefan she didn't have anybody in her life, where will she go.

Ahh, that's not the matter to worry about and change the decision of moving out of the Walter palace. Valerie couldn't let herself stay here more with this silly reason and torture herself, seeing her love to be happy with someone else.

Valerie once again thought about her decision and decided not to back out. She once again yelled with a determined face, "Yes, I can't stay here anymore. I will move out from here as soon as possible, and will never let anybody know regarding the pain I am going through."

"Yes, I can't let anybody know my pain, this is my personal matter and has nothing to do with anybody. Stefan is now married, and it doesn't matter whether he moved on. I am not selfish who will step into someone else's married life."

"I will tell Stefan that I have got a job offer in another town and I can't stay here anymore."

The person who was listening to Valerie's blabber with herself felt bad for her, but he couldn't do anything. The person walked away from there helplessly.

Valerie, after deciding, came down and saw all the ladies in the dining area. She went towards them, who were taking care of the details of the dinner table.

"Shall I help you?" Valerie asked softly.

Amy had already made an ugly face at seeing her and answered rudely, "No need to help, just take a rest. The doctor said that you are weak and need rest, didn't she?"

Julia doesn't like Amy's harsh behavior every time just because of her prejudiced mind. "Amy, be polite. Valerie, please don't stress yourself, otherwise, I will feel guilty if something will happen to you."

"But aunt Julia, I am getting bore sitting idle the whole day doing nothing. At least let me help you all."

Amy was about to retort harshly again, but Stella spoke first to deal with the situation. "Valerie, can you please go to Ronald's room and ask him to join us for dinner? It's on the second floor, right side, third door."

Valerie nodded and left, and Julia immediately scolded Amy. "Amy, why do you always have to talk to her so rudely?"

"Elder sister, I don't like this girl. She is Stefan's ex, and after crossing so many hindrances, my son Stefan and my daughter-in-law Sarah have got this peaceful life. Sarah is pregnant and they are soon going to be parents, I want no any more problems in their life." Amy said, being irritated, and her eyes were reflecting the hatred for Valerie.

"Even though you might be correct, that doesn't mean every person from Stefan and Sarah's past is their enemy. At least Valerie is not like that, in fact, I saw the purity in her eyes." Amy said with confidence.

"Yes, aunt Amy, I don't want to be so rude to her, at least for Sarah. Valerie is going to leave, but Sarah has invited her to stay here. We should respect Sarah's decision and give her some face." Stella added, to make Amy understand.

Amy was still not convinced and uncertain, "Ok, only for Sarah I will behave."

Valerie walked towards the door, as Stella had said, this must be Ronald's room, and she knocked softly.

"Come in."

On hearing the permission to get in, Valerie walked in with a slightly nervous heart and saw Ronald was busy with work on his laptop. She thoughtfully didn't disturb him and stood there silently, waiting for him to lift his head and talk.

Ronald was so engrossed in his work that he forgot that somebody had come to his room. After a few minutes when he realized that after the knock on the door, he didn't hear any voice, then he lifted his head and shift his gaze from the laptop screen to the standing figure. He was surprised to see Valerie in front of him, the next moment he shut his laptop down, kept it aside, and stood up.

"Valerie, you, here? I mean, is there anything I can do for you?"

"No, it's nothing, Stella asked me to call you for dinner."

Ronald sighed and said, "Alright, I am coming."

Valerie simply nodded, turned around, and was about to leave when Ronald called her, making her stop.

"Valerie, one minute, I want to say something to you, actually it is a confession I want to make." Ronald was saying in a soft tone, and Valerie's eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

"I apologize, I wasn't eavesdropping on you, but I accidentally heard you when you were talking to god and decided to move out."

"What?" Valerie's eyes widened in shock, she was trying to hide her pain from everybody but how come Stefan's brother, Ronald, had come to know of everything?

"Please accept my apology first. It wasn't intentional I was just passing from the corridor, in front of your room, I heard you crying painfully. I was about to step in when I heard your hoarse voice and couldn't hold myself. Valerie, I am so sorry, I can understand your pain and......"

Ronald's tone was hoarse and his face was soft, reflecting the pain for Valerie, but Valerie didn't want to take anybody's sympathy.

She cut off Ronald in the middle. "Please Ronald, I don't need anybody's sympathy."

Valerie's eyes were filled with tears, this is what she hates to see, sympathy in people's eyes for her.

"Excuse me, I do not sympathize with you." Ronald understood that she is taking everything in the wrong way and immediately retorted.

"In fact, I am proud of you, it's not so easy to see your first love in someone else's arms happy, and I can understand the pain you are going through from the bottom of my heart. You really have a brave heart."

Now Valerie understood what Ronald was trying to say and felt bad for him, sensing his pain.

"I am sorry for you, too. I know you too have gone through the same pain as I am, Carol told me about Ashley........."

"Please don't use this name in front of me." Ronald cut off Valerie immediately. This is the name he hates the most, which has changed his entire life. That bloody woman had not only ruined her life, but pushed him into the deep abyss of pain, guilt, and regrets.

Valerie saw his painful face, and her heart ached for him. "Ok I will not, and I am sorry I spoke to you rudely."

"Don't be embarrassed." Even though Ronald had said in a light mood, there was an awkward silence between the two for a few minutes.

"Friends?" Suddenly Ronald stretched his hand towards Valerie, which she held without thinking twice, and smiled. "Friend."

Just then, they heard a knocking sound from the door and parted their hands.

"Come in."

Ronald said, and Sarah walked in to get a surprise.

"Hey, Valerie, you here, for what?"
