Parth's POV

She called up her parents and said that I wanted to invite them to come to Bikaner (in Rajasthan) to meet his grandfather on the coming Friday.

She kept the speakerphone on so that I could listen to their reactions.

" Ok, we will come, it is high time we get to know him. Tell him to inform his grandfather, we would like to meet him." Her dad said.

" Ok, dad!! I will wait for you. "

" We will reach there Directly. There is no point in coming all the way to Chandigarh. " Dad said.

" It is perfectly alright sir, I can understand, we will reach there before you and will pick you up from the railway station and then will go to my place together. "

" What?? We? Who else is coming with you? " Her dad asked.

" Of course, Riya...sir. "

" Why would she come with you?" Her dad was not very pleased with the idea.

" Because my grandfather would also like to meet my would-be wife and his would-be granddaughter. " I said.

" But nothing is fixed as yet. " Her dad said.

As we are always alone in our apartments. We wouldn't do anything while travelling which we could not have done till now." I said and Riya was shocked.

" How dare you talk to me like that?" Her dad got annoyed.

" I am sorry sir, but I was just trying to put your mind at rest. I may not have a female in my family at the moment, but my parents always taught me to respect women. I respect Riya and would never do anything that is not right, my intentions are absolutely honourable about her. I want to get married to her. Please don't worry. " I said.

" Ok, fine!! We will be there. But don't you dare to cross your line or I will kill you. " He said.

" Rest assured, sir!" I said and disconnected the call.

" You are too much, Parth. " She said.

" Why? What did I do?? " I asked.

" You shocked my dad, by saying all that."

" But it is true, do you have any idea, how much I desire you?? I have been dying to make you mine forever. Do you even know, how many cold showers I have taken, since the day you slipped in your home?? I have to use every ounce of self-control to stay away from you. But I respect you and will not cross the limit. I needed him to know, that you were safe with me as we are alone here as well. " I said.

" But still it was too blunt. "

" I can't help it if I am straightforward, love. Ok, let's call my grandfather now. " I said.

" What if, he doesn't approve of me??" She asked.

" Why wouldn't he? He would be very happy when I will tell him that I have found a girl, with whom, I would like to get married and have a family of my own. Don't worry, my grandfather is a big teddy bear. " I said and gave a quick peck on her lips. She blushed a bit and I kissed her again.

" Hello! Jai jai, Dado Sa! How are you? " I called my grandfather and he picked up the call.

" Jai Jai, Parth!! So you got time to call me?? I should not have allowed you to go there... You have forgotten me. I have told you to call me at least twice a week and here you are calling me once in two weeks. Enough of this now!! Come back home, get married to a nice girl and start your family. If you want to work as a doctor, work here in Bikaner. I want to see you settled before I die. I have shortlisted a few girls for you to select the one you want out of them. " He said in his heavy authoritative voice.

I looked at Riya, she was tense.

" Hey, old man!! Hold your horses. " I said.

" No, I am not going to listen to you, it is high time, you take your life seriously. I don't want to hear any more excuses now. Be here as soon as possible and get married or don't even come to criminate me. " He said.

" Dado Sa!! Why are you saying that?? You know, I don't like you talking like that. You are the only family I have. " I said getting emotional. Riya touched my arm, I smiled.

" That's why I want you to get married and start a new family for yourself. I would also die peacefully. " He said as if he was waiting for me to say that so that he could pressurise me.

" If you ever repeat anything like that, I would never call you or come there. Here, I called to tell you that I would come the day after tomorrow, but I think that I should cancel my program. " I said to him.

" What?? You are coming? Great!! I will inform the parents of the girls. You can meet them..." I could hear happiness and excitement in his voice.

Riya felt very bad to hear that. I wrapped my arm around her to assure her.

" I will not meet any one of them... " I said firmly.

" But what is the problem, you have to get settled one day, why not when I am still alive?? Don't I have a right to see you happily settled? " He said.

" Oh, God!! You never listen to me... Dado sa, you have every right to see me happily settled with my wife. I don't have any problem with that. " I said.

But those few seconds seemed to be very long. Riya was affected a lot by that pregnant pause.

" What?? You found a girl?? " He asked me.

" Yes, Dado sa!! "

" Who is the girl? Where did you meet her? What does she do?? " He asked so many things.

" She is a doctor, junior to me, I am in love with her. " I said, with my arm still wrapped around her shoulder.

" What if I don't like her? " He asked.

Riya got very tense and caught my arm tightly and looked towards me as if she also wanted to know that.

" I assure you, you will. I love her and anyways, she is the only one, I would ever get married to." I said.

" Ok, bring her with you to meet me. I want to meet her. " He said.

" Yes, I am bringing her. " I said.

" What about her parents? How can I decide before meeting them? " He asked.

" I have invited them to meet you as well. I love her and want you and her parents to meet and give your blessings to us. " I said.

" Fine, Let's meet them. I will wait for you. Send me her picture right now. " He said.

" I am sending you her photograph. In fact, I can make a video call and you can see and talk to her. "
