Chapter 28: Chapter 28

The fear of the invaders had gone from everyone and it

was replaced by joyous anticipation of the wedding of

their King. The future queen Christina’s bravery had been

already spread by the Aatians as they had seen her fighting

face to face with the alien creature and killed it to save

Victon.

Victon was liked by everyone, even the plants liked him as

he would always listen to others and the fact he was saved

by the future queen, endeared Christina to the natives!

The Reans knew her well since her childhood and knew

how she was smitten with Richard…So they were

extremely happy that their King found his mate!

Frank and Redim decided to make the event a memorable

event. So they planned meticulously.

The invitation went up in laser lightings… The Aatians

enjoyed seeing the lightings that had appeared all over the

beach… The floating lights and the gas lights of the

Aatians made the ocean colourful…

Frank had asked for a huge stage in front of the palace.

The tree queen took it upon herself to make it and she

drove all the plants to bring logs of the same sizes. Once

the stage was done, the Reans volunteered to decorate it.

Redim thought that since they never seen blue colour here

in Arda, it would look fantastic to have the colour blue as

the thematic colour!

Redim called all the Reans and explained how the colour

of blue from light to dark should be done…

Zo was happy as he could easily get blue colour from the

available minerals as he had done lot of research on all the

minerals available.

The queen promised Redim that she would get as many as

blue colour blooms and usually they would be found in the

other side of Arda. The trees passed the messages from

one to another and started collecting the blue colour

flowers of all sizes!

The stage was covered with thin blue sheets and Frank

couldn’t place them if it was metal or plant fibres.

The stage was all light and dark blue with white floating

lights.

The trees arranged so many wood pieces as the stools to sit

as well as the tables in front of the palace ground and the

Reans covered them with the shining sheet they had used

to decorate the stage.

The trees had gathered all the trees that had blue green

leaves and arranged them to stand around the ground. The

trees found it difficult to stand in one place though!

Richard and Christina were filled with gratitude for

everyone and seeing Frank and Redim working tirelessly

made them feel humble.

Frank was running around checking if everything was

alright and asking the natives to work as he was

working!Redim saw the material Zo used to decorate and

she wanted to know if she could get silver colour

aterial…Zo said the original material was only silver

colour and he could give her as much she wanted!

She had wanted to create a wedding dress and the Reans

already have tools to stitch. When they saw her cutting the

material into a floor length dress, they volunteered to

stitch… She couldn’t believe her luck as she thought she

had to hand stitch them!

She made a tunic for Richard in dark blue, one other tunic

for Frank in silver colour and a light blue long gown for

herself!

As soon as she designed the dress, the Reans got them

stitched.

The final result was awesome and Frank made fun of

Redim, ‘You can earn more as a designer than as a doctor

…

I am really proud of you’

Redim was pleased that the idea had come to her to make

wedding dresses.

The aquatic beings were mostly amphibious so many

wanted to come to the city to see the historical event.

The city was filled to its capacity with all kinds of

beings…

The Aathi the whale was not able to enter the pass but the

baby whale was there.

The lions and all the other beings with their peculiar gait

because of the flippers were moving around…

The wedding was in the evening… It became dark in the

valley even before the Alpha set and the real beauty came

to life with the lights. There were lights everywhere and

the floating lights were awesome! The Aatians who were

used to such ambiance were in admiration for the beauty

of the entire scene

Victon had given the two rings that Redim had asked.

Redim was astonished to see the size of the diamond and

she thought she could buy a country for the value of the

diamonds on the Earth!

All the other Aatians were busy preparing a feast as they

had taken the responsibility of serving a banquet to be

remembered!

Frank and Redim decided to use the tree queen as the

wedding celebrant and when they asked the queen to bless

the couple and handover the ring to them she immediately

agreed… She produced one of her branches to be at the

centre of the stage and the prop root hung between the

chairs.

Frank and Richard got ready and came to the stage.

Richard in the dark blue tunic and the jewels given by

Victon looked dashing. Frank made him sit at the centre

and he sat next to him.

Christina looked so beautiful and she had earlier said to

Redim, ‘Redim I had never worn a full length dress...

Hope I don’t trip on the dress!\

Redim laughed, ‘You are a tomboy but on your wedding

day act like a meek darling... we have to for the sake of

onlookers and the bridegroom! That would be the only day

they would see us meek and docile’

They both laughed together but Christina looked her best

with Redim’s style of the topknot and the silver floor

length dress. Her figure was enhanced by the topknot and

the long dress!

Redim had the light blue dress that suited her well.

Both came to stage and Redim asked Christina to wave at

the crowd and when she waved the whole crowd erupted

with the greetings as until now they did not know what to

do!

Frank explained the marriage vows and asked them to

repeat the vows. Both were very solemnly repeated the

vows. Richard vowed as he meant every word and

Christina’s voice rang out clear and loud…

Frank said, ‘the queen will bless them and declare them as

husband and wife. She will hand over the rings and when

they exchange the rings the wedding ceremony gets over’

Redim took Richard’s ring and gave it to the queen and

she took it delicately with her prop roots and gave it to

Christina and the other one she gave it to Richard.

Her voice boomed across the city…

‘Richard you take Christina as your wife and Christina you

take Richard as your husband and stay blessed forever '

Her voice was so moving and the couple exchanged their

rings… She had arranged for the flowers to be tossed at

them and it looked like rain of flowers!

Richard held Christina’s hand and came forward, ‘We

promise you to work for the welfare of Arda at all the

time’

The crowd went wild. It would be remembered as the

joyous occasion in the history of Arda for a long time to

come!
