Chapter 252: Chapter 252: Beast Habitat Design- A potential way to evolve the beast!

Theo had nothing to say, so he politely bid farewell and went away.

’This is worse than a punishment, Mantis. You have made things riskier than ever.’ Theo said through the mental bond, as he had no one to talk with right now.

The ant queen was busy with the hunting strategies while Elias and Clara reluctantly supplied them with live insects of different sizes, one after another, as ordered.

’?’ Like usual, the mantis communicated confusion toward Theo.

It might have become much more intelligent than before, but it was still not at a level where it could understand how complicated humans are.

He still had two more classes to attend, and after looking at the big clock in one of the corridors, Theo ran to the nearest restroom, splashed water on his face, dried it with a handkerchief, and made his way to the next class.

They were all in the same corridor, which was smart and efficient, as it reduced the time spent finding the class.

When he entered the classroom, it was already packed with students. Students who were fresher than him.

But it didn’t make Theo feel down at all; instead, he tried to make sense of this routine with the fact that he was a grown man among all these children.

Attending so many of these classes felt like a need for Theo as he craved the mastery of all this knowledge.

The other students recognized him at first glance as they had all attended the theory classes together.

Theo went to his seat, and just when he did, he erected a facade of opening and reading his book so as not to attract anyone who would think he was free to chit-chat.

He quickly opened the mantis’s status after focusing on it through the beast space, and when Theo looked at the end—

He quickly took a deep breath.

[Partial Evolution Potential Detected]

[Evolution Information:+5 Stamina+5 Dexterity+5 Agility]

[Requirement: Consume 20ml Demon Toad Essence]

’I can buy 20 ml directly from the market... but wouldn’t it be better if I start making it on my own?’ Theo thought, only to feel like it would be a mistake.

’But with the background I have, it really is unnecessary for me to make everything I want to use on my own... I can buy almost anything from the market nearby as long as it is not a truly expensive thing.’

When Theo thought that, he felt disappointed to say the least. Making things from scratch felt like an achievement that could have been enjoyable, but looking at his status and the fact that what he didn’t lack at all was money and status...

It made him wonder if learning all these extra classes was worth it or not, as he was a beast and sword fighter in the end.

Soon, an instructor entered the class; she was a woman whose age Theo couldn’t tell. She was an old woman.

Being old in this world didn’t mean a person was 70 or 80. Instead, the person could even be beyond 200 years and look like a normal person.

The class beyond that was truly boring; Theo got no practical skills but the normal theory.

It felt like he could have read the book on his own and learned what she was explaining better.

The instructor talked about the different kinds of fabric and threads and their uses. According to her, learning and having it all at the tip of the tongue was a basic necessity.

When the class was over, Theo found himself caught up to the 10th page of the 500-page book.

It felt like the class was nothing special. Even the students all around didn’t feel like the ones who would interact with him.

Some just didn’t care about the red-uniformed ones, while others were too scared to associate themselves with him.

’And here I thought I would be bullied for making that speech and having an insect as my main beast.’ Theo couldn’t help but smile and leave the class, since the next one was about to start in 30 minutes.

The last class of the day was about beast habitats, and Theo was all for it. That was the one thing Theo wanted to learn as fast as he could.

When the instructor finally came to the class and it started, all of Theo’s stress and exhaustion vanished due to how information-packed everything was.

According to the instructor, Beast Habitat Design was all about giving a beast the right habitat to rest in.

One of his very good examples was how a fire affinity dragon wasn’t just something anyone could take care of. Taming such a beast was the easiest part of the whole process.

A dragon of the fire affinity usually needed a volcanic heat zone, an area in which it would rest when it was time for recovery.

The habitat, which was usually made artificially or enhanced with the help of the concepts in this class, made the beast feel at home in the right temperatures and terrain it belonged in.

To achieve something like that, all the students were going to be taught about a massive list of materials used to make a habitat.

It was not an easy product one could make in an instant, Theo could already tell. It needed an ability to keep track of all the new materials entering the market and how to use them efficiently by knowing what each and every thing could do.

But that was not the end of the class; they were also told that this class would teach them how to feed their beasts too.

The size, the type, and the affinities played a huge role in the beast’s needs, according to the instructor.

The more Theo listened, the more he felt like the class was worth every headache.

All this time in the castle, he hadn’t heard a single thing about a habitat except the one he made on his own — the big terrarium.

Not only that, it made Theo think about some daring ideas.

One of which revolved around how a beast could not only evolve with what it ingested or how it fought but also with the environment given to it.

It made sense, as according to the evolution he read about in his previous life, animals and humans evolved through the ages in intense climates which made them change for the better or get left behind.

Theo decided to start finding the materials already; he was too excited to make something for the ants and the mantis.

Only to remember how there was still an evaluation that was going to happen tomorrow morning.
