Chapter 1481: Chapter 1481

"Save her!" Seeing Aya attacked, Warcraft Brother was shocked and hurriedly operated the military helicopter to land. At this moment, he somewhat regretted getting on the helicopter. But the next moment, Tang Zheng’s actions made him feel so foolish, with such poor adaptability.

Without intending to land, Tang Zheng lifted his leg and kicked towards the hatch.

Bang—the hinges broke, and the hatch was kicked flying, crashing down onto the square. The Apache wobbled and tilted as Tang Zheng ripped off his seatbelt and leapt from the cockpit, diving straight for the bride.

The Apache lost control and crashed to the ground, and the tourists screamed and fled.

"What’s wrong with you?" Aya, seeing her colleague unwell, went to help her, only to have the colleague grab her shoulder, turn her head, and reveal a facially split monster’s visage.

Aya was horrified, lifted her dress, and instinctively reached for the Glock handgun strapped to her thigh. But because the person in front of her was a familiar colleague, she reacted slowly and didn’t plan to open fire, instead intending to call for emergency help.

The bride, controlled by mitochondria, aimed to kill humans.

Boom—Tang Zheng, carrying a formidable momentum, crashed onto the bride, pinning her down, and the force of the gravity shattered her bones.

The bride was not dead, her arm mutated, reaching out to strangle Tang Zheng, and even spat out a stream of acid.

Tang Zheng dodges by turning his head, then pushes the bride’s arm away and throws a heavy punch at her forehead.

Bang—a powerful punch instantly turned the bride’s head into a split watermelon, blood, and brain pulp splattering and the ground cracking like a spider-web.

"Don’t!" Aya was brought down and cried out upon seeing her colleague killed, "What are you doing?"

Aya aimed her gun at Tang Zheng.

The tourists watched from a distance, and the guests were stunned by the sudden turn of events, unsure what to do.

The engine roared loudly, and one after another, sports cars burst from the street corner, parking on the square. The Conquerors got out of the cars and rushed over.

"Who are you?" Aya was nervous, also saddened by the loss of her colleague, her arm holding the gun trembling.

"Don’t be hasty; there’s a monster attacking you. We came to protect you," said Warcraft Brother as he also jumped out of the military helicopter, just as the crashing helicopter exploded, with the hot blast rolling over.

"Stop wasting words, take her away forcefully." Yue Jing held a gun to supervise the surroundings, "Be careful, or it might be too late."

Yue Jing seemed to have a crow’s mouth lately, as whatever he said would come true. Six military helicopters appeared in flying formation from the northwest. Before even getting near, their cannons were firing.

A series of puffs resounded, and the stone tiles of the square were shattered, leaving several straight lines of damage.

Whoosh, whoosh—the military helicopters’ bullet nests opened, and rocket shells fired furiously. The sports cars were unlucky, getting blown up into the sky, burning into a sea of fire.

"Damn it!" cursed Warcraft Brother as he took out a Stinger missile, shouldered it, and fired.

Boom—the targeted military helicopter made a tactical maneuver, but was still shot down.

Pang Meiqin and others took out their portable anti-air missiles and fired at the military helicopters in the sky.

Four fireballs burst open, helicopter debris fell, and the Conquerors had not yet taken a breath when ten armed transport planes flew rapidly overhead. Their hatches opened, and like dumping dumplings, Soldiers were dropped.

"Holy shit, really?" Not only Warcraft Brother but many of the Conquerors exclaimed. They lost their composure, as these soldiers were indeed jumping without parachutes.

"Kill them all!" The enemy was certainly no fool, so this landing method signified the enemy’s strength and confidence. Dantai shouted, but it was too late.

Due to gravity, the Giant Soldiers almost instantly touched down on the ground.

Bang, bang—they simply crouched and dissipated the impact force. Almost without any interval, they raised their heavy assault rifles and opened fire on the Conquerors.

Suddenly, the square was caught in a rain of bullets. The tourists were affected, but instead of dying when hit by the bullets, they mutated into three-meter-tall monsters and attacked the Conquerors.

This wedding turned into a funeral, with the guests running panic-stricken, but they were not faster than the bullets. In an encounter, most were hit and turned into monsters.

"Go!" Tang Zheng waved one hand, using gravity to repel the approaching Mutated Creature and rushed towards the church with Aya.

"What the hell are these things?" The tough Group Leader who had argued with Dantai was stunned. Rocket shells hitting these soldiers did no harm at all.

"Anyway, they’re not guests," muttered Warcraft Brother. Fortunately, the Heavy Magnetostorm Rifle was somewhat effective; otherwise, he’d have been crying.

These were Giant Soldiers, belonging to Ark’s armed forces, responsible for clearing, suppressing Mutated Creatures, and special biological disasters!

These soldiers had been enhanced by mitochondria, each with strength comparable to an average First stage. They wore green coats, Skull masks, and helmets made of a new material, capable of completely blocking attacks from Level A Firearms and below.

The Giant Soldiers wielded Ark energy rifles, able to use destructive warheads, which upon hitting the target, would directly catalyze and destroy biological structures, turning them into a puddle of blood. They could also use mutating bullets, making the target mutate on its own and attack the predetermined enemies by infrared in the warheads.

Two hundred well-equipped, battle-hardened Giant Soldiers under the command of a Sergeant launched a swift and powerful offensive against the Conquerors, even gaining the upper hand.

"Use your abilities, kill them all." Dantai unleashed a Psychic Storm, but the Giant Soldiers only felt minor discomfort and continued their desperate charge. After the modifications, they were utterly fearless in the face of death.

Pang Meiqin’s pet struck a Giant Soldier, taking root and flowering, shrinking it into a husk, while Yu Deye’s Shooting series abilities proved formidable with every shot being a head-exploder.

Lin Fachan and Lin Jing paired up, and their killing speed wasn’t slow either.

Li Zheng was about to unleash a light orb, but Wang Fang secretly stopped him.

Yue Jing erupted, launching Infinite Projection and slaughtering Giant Soldiers. He wanted to use his combat achievement to save face, especially with the Hero Ranking in mind – he didn’t want to end up at the bottom.

"What kind of people are you?" Aya lifted her skirt hem, couldn’t help turning her head to look back, "What’s the deal with those Soldiers and Monsters?"

"The Mitochondria have rebelled, we need to protect you." Tang Zheng, after noticing that Aya had calmed down following her initial panic, commented with admiration, "You have excellent poise."

"Mitochondria?" Aya was puzzled, a look that stopped Tang Zheng, who was about to ask her more questions, from saying anything more.

"You don’t know?" Fu Tianxiao asked, somewhat foolishly.

Aya ignored this silly woman, waiting for Tang Zheng’s answer.

Boom, the wall was broken through, and the Giant Soldiers ambushed and opened fire all at once.

With a single wave of Tang Zheng’s hand, the bullets were deflected by a Gravity Bomb, and then the church benches were dragged and slammed into them.

The Conquerors following Tang Zheng immediately focused fire and killed them.

Two minutes later, more than two hundred Giant Soldiers were annihilated.

"What’s next? Shall we go find Natasha?" After finding Aya, everyone was a bit clueless about what to do next.

"What’s the use of this woman if she knows nothing at all?" The tough guy, upset at being ignored by Aya when asking questions, was angry enough to want to hit someone.

"Mitochondria, the antagonistic Trojan, the Soldiers’ organization plus us, it’s a four-way free-for-all, oh my god, this is too chaotic!" The Warcraft brother held his head with a look of woe, "This is even more exhausting than commanding a battle in the Alterac Valley in Warcraft!"

"In five minutes, the Black-Gold Conquerors should be here, and I’ve decided to give them a surprise." Dantai took out a sketch pad and started to explain tactics.

"How can you be sure they will come?" Someone questioned.

"Even if they aren’t native-born Natives, they must understand this world better than us given their earlier performance. If they still can’t find Aya, do you think that’s possible? The only reason they’d be late is that they just learned about the Mitochondrial rebellion." Dantai was already holding back his sharp tongue; otherwise, he would have been more sarcastic. Besides, if it weren’t for needing these baits, he wouldn’t bother explaining. This text is hosted at Novᴇl_Fire(.)net

"You make the decision," Warcraft brother agreed. "Giving the opponents a lesson would be good, plus it helps us climb a few spots on the Hero Ranking, to not always let the foreigners stand out."

No matter the question, Aya was always clueless. After the Group Leaders assigned a few low-level grunts to protect her, they went to listen to Dantai’s tactics.

Wei Xiangnan stood next to Aya, chatting with a high school student from the Warhammer team out of boredom, but unfortunately, the latter was cold and ignored him.

No one noticed that Aya’s body suddenly shuddered, and a blue light flashed in her pupils.

When Fatty Squid and his mixed group arrived, they saw a square total mess.

"Charge." With a command from Fatty, the Pioneers activated their Shields and ran into the church.

"Group Leader, Aya is dead."

"What?" As he heard his subordinate’s report, Fatty hurried over and then saw Aya lying on the ground, dressed as a bridesmaid, her chest soaked in blood.

"Damn it, are these invaders useless? How could they let Aya die?" Fatty kicked his subordinate in anger, "What are you spacing out for? Go check the corpse, and the rest of you, search the scene!"

"No, something’s not right. The Life Energy in those corpses is very strong," the Group’s think-tank suddenly exclaimed. The Conquerors, ready with their weapons, were about to shoot again.

A dozen corpses suddenly sprang up, releasing a stored powerful attack, and then frantically ran towards the church.

"Run, the surprise attack failed, we’ve been spotted," Warcraft brother shouted, and dashed away like a shot.

Qin Yan, dressed as a bridesmaid, entered Hero Mode and melted into the ground.

"Kill!" Hardly had Fatty shouted before Dantai commanded the psychic ability users to unleash a Mental Attack.

Fatty’s coalition staggered, and in less than a second’s gap, Qin Yan moved under the feet of the nearest Conqueror, a flurry of energy spears burst out, turning him into a sieve, and then she retreated.

The Conquerors had someone with a shape-shifting ability, so Qin Yan currently looked exactly like Aya, which was very deceptive.

"Chase them, kill them all, leave none alive," Fatty was nearly furious watching his fallen men and those frantically fleeing fighters.

The coalition was in high spirits, pursuing relentlessly. From the previous combat performance, they believed the enemy was just a small group of riff-raffs, easily dealt with.
