Evelyn POV:-

I was leaning on the wall and staring at the pillar filled with red clothes but I stared at mine and smiled widely looking at it. As I was staring at it, I didn't notice that Lawrence came back from work and stood beside me.

"May our marriage last forever." I heard his voice as I squeaked and turned my head and exhaled in relief,

"Welcome home," I said. He hugged me and pecked my cheek.

He leaned beside me and held my hand.

"Sometimes the unexpected can become our salvation," I said.

"Yeah... Who thought that I'll have such a blessed life." He said as I rested my head on his shoulder.

"I thought this was the end of my world, who thought it was the start of my world," I said as we chuckled.

"It's all because of your love." He said. "Our Love." I corrected it.

"Do you remember when you were sick?" He said. I laughed a little, "Yeah.."

I was so sick, this time, Skyler was a year old. Since I was sick I can't come closer to her and she can't sleep or eat without me. Lawrence tried too hard to make her eat but she didn't even open her mouth. Everyone struggled a lot with her just to make her sleep or eat but no avail..

Right now, I am lying in the bed, filled with high fever and unable to move. Lawrence is walking around the room with Skyler in his arms trying to make her sleep. She is crying and not being able to hear her cries. I sat up and with the throbbing pain in my body.

I wore a mask and turned on the lights, "Evelyn, Sleep, You're sick." I passed him a smile and said, "I can't hear her cries."

He looked at me for a second as I took her and turned off the lights and walked around the room and began to hum a melody to her and she fell asleep in a few moments.

The next day, Lawrence took me to a doctor and I was scared to no extent because I don't want an injection and that damn doctor advised for it for me to recover quickly. I was continuously whining as Lawrence tried to soothe me.

"No Lawrence," I said. I am sitting as the nurse was giggling looking at my scared form.

"You need to recover fast. Please Evelyn, for me." He tried to reassure me but I am so scared that I don't even want to hear that.

When the nurse held my arm to inject that torture instrument, I shut my eyes and Lawrence cupped my cheeks and kissed me. I opened my eyes and looked at him surprised, I remained still and before I knew it, It was done. He pulled away and smiled, "There, done." I blushed and averted my gaze.

Nurse laughed as she said, "You are a sweet couple." I smiled a little.

That was so cute...

"Yeah.. you just suddenly kissed me." I said. "And you take care of me and Skyler, even though you were sick." He said.

"You remember when Skyler learned to walk?" I asked. "That was the most beautiful moment of my life." He said happily.

We were trying so hard to make Skyler speak or walk. She hasn't even said, papa. Lawrence tried so hard and was so disappointed because she didn't call him papa but she called me, mama. Mother, 'ma' and Father "pa' and the same goes for Uncle Shawn and Aunt Kyla. She called Adrian "Rian' but nothing to Lawrence.

She learned to crawl and now she is 10 months old and is sitting in the lounge. We were sitting on the floor with toys everywhere. When there's a kid at home, messiness is confirmed. So, we were playing and Lawrence came back from work. I smiled and stood up and pecked his cheeks and said, "welcome home,"

He smiled and rubbed his temples. "Tired?" I asked. He just gave me a nod and looked at Skyler.

He grinned at her and held his arms and bent to his knees, hoping she'll crawl and hugged him but Skyler turned her head away and Lawrence's smile faded. I felt bad for him. Lawrence looked down and pulled his hands down.

But Skyler did the unexpected. She took a hold of the table and stood up and turned her head to Lawrence who was still looking down. My mouth gaped looking at her but I remained silent.

Lawrence will be surprised when he sees her. She let go of the table and walked towards Lawrence. He looked up and his eyes widened before he could react Skyler came and hugged him and pecked his cheek,

"Welcome home, Papa." She tried to speak. Lawrence face lit up in happiness as he hugged her back and picked her up and spun her around,

"You see that, Evelyn? She walked toward me." He exclaimed in blithe. I smiled and gave him a nod.

"Oh, my love. You know, when I see you, I forget all my worries." He said as he kissed her forehead. "My sweet daughter." He said as he was lost in his bliss.

"That was so sweet," I said. "I can never forget it." He said. I chuckle and said,

"And when I told you we were expecting Edwin." He laughed, "Yeah, I cheered just like when I did when I heard that we are going to become parents."

"You named him," I said. "Yeah, You named our daughter and I named our son."

"yeah.. yeah. " I said.

"Happy is not enough to explain how I feel. I think no word can ever will.." He said.

I smiled and hugged him.

"See our cute couple." I heard Danielle's voice. She was holding her 4-month-old baby son; Jude. Adrian was also standing beside her. We pulled away and looked at them. We smiled looking at each other.

They also came toward us and looked at the clothes.

"The last one is mine, Peanut Butter." Danielle chirped.

"I know, Jam," Adrian said.

"You know, Sometimes I wonder if you guys even know each other's real name? You guys always call each other by nicknames. Before and after your marriage." I said.

"That's just how we are," Adrian said, giving a side hug to Danielle who laughed a little.

After a few moments of silence, Mother, Father, Aunt Camila and Kyla and Uncle Shawn and Ray came with a four-years-old Skyler who was just recently enrolled into kindergarten and Edwin, my 6 months old son.

"Hey, Watch this," Aunt Kyla said. Aunt Kyla turned her attention to Skyler and said,

"Skyler, Skyler," She said.

"Yes, Grandma?" Skyler replied.

"Eating sugar?"

"No, Grandma."

"Open your mouth."

"ha. ha. ha." We all laughed looking at them and she beamed in joy. I picked Edwin as Lawrence picked Skyler.

I smiled as I felt lucky to have such a beautiful life...

The step I took alone in my life caused me to crumble apart, then you came to my life and gathered my fallen pieces and filled me with love and made me the happiest person alive and how much I thank you... it'll never be enough, You gave me what no one can, your love... your life... your everything...

What I feel about you is inexplicable and I love those inexplicable feelings...
