Chapter 75: Chapter 75

ABUJA, NIGERIA.

"Your mother is not here, Kauthar but I would like to think she is going to say the same thing I am going to right now so listen to me very carefully." It was Hajiya Barira, her mother's best friend who has been taking care of all that is needed to be taken cared of for the wedding. She was there to stand against her paternal family and rule over everything that happens in the wedding. She is also a boss lady, never bowed to anyone and a glare from her could stop any of those wicked aunties from moving another inch. Just what they need to put them in their rightful places.

"This marriage might seem forced to you. Don't look at me like that, we talked about it with your father and he told me everything. I even went as far to talk to your husband about this just to clear the air as marriage is not something that shouldn't be played with. It is sacred." Her hand moved to her shoulder, giving it a squeeze that whatever she is going to say is not siding but if she listens carefully, she would understand and give her marriage a chance.

"But-" she was cut off by Hajiya Barira who shook her head, they are alone in the room so they didn't bother keeping their voices low.

"No buts today, Kauthar, you will only listen to me. Don't treat this marriage as a forced commitment, you are not a child. If you take this marriage as commitment, you will forever feel caged inside of it. Instead, treat it like a journey, beautiful journey you two have to make. If marriage life were a boat, you two should be the sailors weaving elegantly through the storms and waves. He is only human, he makes mistakes and you also will, give him a chance and accept him for who he is, it'd be better for you both.

"From the little time I spent with him, I found out he is not a man filled with romance and love and maybe, that is what you are looking for in a man. I understand where you are coming from and totally support you in this. But sometimes, what we wants isn't what is best for us so Allah take it upon Himself to solve the mystery for us and we won't realise that He mercifully made our life easier. Take this as a blessing from your Lord, He shan't give you more than you can take. He doesn't burden a soul with which he can't endure, He is the most Merciful.

"Sometimes, you need to stop everything and just back to look at how perfectly shaped your life had been and say Alhamdulillah. Even breathing is something to be thankful for so don't waste your time harboring superfluous revenge or hatred or whatsoever.

"What I believe is, you can always change him to the person you want him to become, though that won't be justified from his side. He grew up seeing brutal violence throughout his teenage life and most of his life too. You can't expect him to treat life as roses and flowers when he has been to more wars than you ever went shopping, exaggerated but close to truth. He doesn't know how those things work, there are still men like this out there, a lot of them teetering the world looking for right partners, he found that in you. He might not have said he loved you, but he is not marrying you because he doesn't have a choice, he feels something he can't name.

"I would be happy if I were you. I can be extremely possessive so having my man not knowing how to talk to a woman should be a relief. At least, I am hundred percent sure he's never talked to any woman out there and will only start with me. If he is to talk to a woman out of your home, she'd run away because he doesn't know how to talk to women, you should be happy about that, seriously. Only you can coax him now, show him the way to love. Open the doors of romance in his life, change those bloodshed chromosome photos blinding his eyes to roses, you will never regret it.

"The man will always be eager to go home, to see another side of his wife getting shredded. He will prioritise nothing but you, my dear. When a soldier falls in love, even love will bow at it's feet for there is no other thing more important than that lover of theirs. I promise you, you won't regret marrying him if you try to make this work. Keep that boiling rage aside, the malice and grudge, they are not worth it. Don't forget, you are married now!

"You can't deny him his rights, Allah will not be pleased with you at all. You might need time to adjust, ask for it and he shall grant you. He looks like the perfect gentleman to me." Hajiya Barira kept quite for a little while waiting for Kauthar to say something, anything to show that she's listened to what she said.

"Thank you, Aunt Barira, I'll work out our relationship to the best of my ability. But, he is not a gentleman." She scoffed at the last part, not entirely over about how her hypocritically go behind her back to stab her. It might take ages for that to wear off, he should wait.

"Whatever helps your boat sail. Now stand up and let's take you to your husband's home." Hajiya Barira helped her up to her feet, adjusting the colossal peach veil around her head.

She is wearing a pricey embellished exclusive super sewn into regular a shaped blouse and skirt that wasn't tightened much, just enough for her curves to take place. She has on a Louboutin heels encasing her feet, didn't bother taking a purse, head tie tied just so she can place the veil on top of it. Nothing elegant and out of ordinary, she is going to her husband's house.

The SUVs sent to take the bride, few of her relatives and friends are parked outside so she got settled into one with some oldies and the car took off. She didn't cry, shed a tear or do anything as such. She was definitely going to miss her home, her father, brother and sister but then again, the real reason she thought would make her miss her home isn't there, her mother. Her father can be easily seen around if she wants, so is her sister and brother, nothing to bother. It doesn't mean she is all excited to leave the house though, the house has her whole life inside.

All the formalities were done, the budan kai and everything that needs to be done leaving the bride and her friends waiting for the groom and his set of friends. They needn't wait long as cars honked inside the house indicating their arrival, she didn't flinch or act all nervous. Her friends keep teasing her about 'the night' but it doesn't matter what they think so she only focus and getting the heck out of there to go rest. His friends came in, prayed, advised them, joked around and then time to negotiate the price of the bride.

The 'siyan amarya' stuff.

When everything was done, she was pushed to her bedroom alone where she decided to take it upon herself to change and sleep. She will not talk to him, just not that day. She has calmed down, keep her revolver down and won't trouble him as much as she wanted to but it doesn't mean she will talk to him then, she won't.

She slept, not waiting for him to come in after seeing his friends off so they can drop hers. When he walked into the room, he shook his head at the sight of his stubborn wife then adjusted her on the bed and removed the flip-flops she is wearing. The woman wants trouble from the looks of it. She is wearing cotton pajamas, her pleated hair falling down on the pillow, she appears to be tired. He could second that, this wedding drained off all his energy.

He prayed, change his outfit, sat on the bed and blew some prayers for her too.

He then narrowed the space between them to get a closer look at her. He might never got to do that after now.

She is beautiful, he smiled at himself. With her eyes open, she will look tough but looking at her in this vulnerable state, it makes him want to protect her from all evil. But then again, who will protect her from him? Wasn't he the cause of her heartache? She didn't talk to him when he came to see her earlier that day, she ignored his existence, she lied about having leg ache to not dance with him, he gave her her space. Mujaddad asked him to do that or he'd regret it some more later.

He shall see what tomorrow has in store for them, hopefully, all great things. He don't want to keep fighting with his life partner, that isn't his plan for them.

-

"You wanted to destroy my life, want me dead, handicapped and... what is the other one again?" Mujaddad murmured in Fayha's ear, allowing his hot breath to hit her face, feeling her shudder beneath him.

They just finished praying, ate their chicken and decided to call it a day even with the sexual tension getting thicker and thicker in the air. He couldn't hold himself back when she gave out a moan of discomfort, he didn't know why she did that but it got him where he's been avoiding. Just one move from him, he found her right next to him on the bed when he could clearly remember giving her space of many inches on the wide bed. If this is a signal she is sending, he sure as hell won't deny her her rights.

And currently, he is looming over her with so much intensity in his eyes. He's taken in that she's removed the robe closing her from him leaving her in a skimpy scarlet lingerie bare to his eyes. And he was instantly stiff what was expected of every newly wedded groom, he can't help it. He really wanted them to just rest but maybe she has planned it all thinking he is like other men, always ready to take what they have worked hard on but he was willing to wait for as long as she was going to take, he don't mind, not. He might mind but not to that extent.

Her eyes are staring into his defiantly and for the first time, her defiance only turned him on instead of amused him. She is hellbent on ruining him, huh? It is just their inner joke which he likes taking up a notch all the time.

"And clearly, you don't look to have been through any of that." She answered, her voice rasp from feeling little of his weight on her, his heat getting transferred to her own body. She felt his protuberance!

It made her gulp, noticing that her twin hills are brushing his barely clothed self as he is only wearing thin white shirt showing his broad well exercised body that has seen so many glaring sun black sweatpants.

"How is that possible when you aren't the one to do it? I leave myself pure only for you, sweetheart." He trailed his calloused, big finger down from her baby hairs to her chin, down her jaw knowing his words will get her pretty soon and it did, she widen her eyes getting the meaning of what he's just said.

"You are getting off the topic now, Major." She raise a brow, her lips suddenly chapped seeing as they have less than an inch space between them, he's devoured it whole.

"I'm not, that's what newly wedded couple talk about. But seriously, I am willing to wait if you are not ready." His voice and face suddenly yawed serious, he moved it back so she can see just how serious he is.

Her heart gave that flutter again, her stomach constrict and down her core, she won't be able to wait any longer. She's prepared herself for this both physically and mentally, she needs to help them both. What would waiting do them both anyway? They are going to do it sooner or later, this is the perfect time so they won't always be questioning themselves awkwardly how it is going to happen. Everyone knows it happens during the first night, she shall take that tradition further.

With a huge glob of saliva down her throat, she looked him in the eyes too not knowing what emotions lay there for him to see, desire, seriousness, anxiousness and conclusiveness, she doesn't need to word it out but she did. "I'm ready." And then she got shy, bite her lower lip, look down his chest but not his eyes.

"Ah-ah, you won't be shy on me, I don't want you shy around me. Be who you are, that defiant fierce ladybug ready to attack me all the time. Let me give this open invitation, attack me now, pounce on me." He rumbled, his voice getting closer to a growl making her stomach sunken. She is not the only one anticipating this, he's been restless too about it and definitely would've taken two hours shower had she refused.

"I don't want to make the first move, you can do that now and I take revenge later." She smiled shyly, biting her lower lip again in that sexy way she didn't know only shatters his self restraint.

"And who am I to say no to my lady's orders?" With that, he descended his lips down on hers after moisturizing it.

Their eyes both close instinctively at the feel of each other, breaths halted so as to not ruin the moment, brains frozen to not create unnecessary havoc but their nerves were all over the place. Her once immobilized arms began to move from his biceps, up to his shoulder and then grasp his strong neck feeling him shudder, she grinned in the kiss. She allow her nails to rake his nape sensually while he took the lead of the kiss, taking it upon himself to attack and pounce like she's asked him to.

And before you know it, both the couple are bare to one another. The female shyly closing her body but he didn't let her. He took her arms and pinned them above her head as his eyes feast lustfully in the dim lit room that saved her from utter embarrassment. Married or not, this is her first time being bare to a man and she is uncomfortable and uneasy. Her tongue keep darting out to swipe her parched lips, this is more than she's expected for her first night.

She is definitely going to burst if he doesn't get moving!

The pleasure is heightening to the point of pain, he knows that too since he is stopping himself with force. Her eyes start glaring at him, he smiled at her innocently before diving to her twin hills eliciting both a shudder and a scream mixed with surprise and pleasure. She didn't see that coming, he is taking his time challenging her with his eyes so she could break. Her eyes hooded as she stare at their ceiling, her fingers threading in his head as if drawing him away? Is she really doing that shamelessly?

But she can't stop to save her life! She needs to hold onto something or simply go crazy with all the tension in her tummy.

"Don't hold back, sweetheart." As if that was the button she was waiting for him to press, she started groaning in a voice she didn't recognise. That definitely can't be her voice, she is not the one doing those things like a wanton woman.

The room got more tensed each passing second, bringing steam from the couple. Sweat tangling and dripping, hands finding purpose, hearts found compassion, bodies found pleasure, breaths hoarsed and harsh, eyes filled with new heights of adoration and two souls were blessed. Then it was silent, leaving only rough breaths at their wake, two bodies tousled in an embrace.

The next morning, Fayha awoke feeling drugged and weak even after having a bath filled with salted water before praying subh. She blushed again thinking about how considerate Mujaddad was. He said he was needed at the barrack for some emergency but there is no way he could leave his one day old bride weak on the bed with her muscles cramped hence, he gave her that bath earlier before he could left an hour later. She didn't like the idea of him leaving but he promised that he won't take long and that is the only day.

She smiled at the memory of them the night before, it was magical. When her friends were talking about how the night is, the amazement that comes after that one night, she would like to tell them another story. It was enchanting, charming as if a spell was cast upon them that night. She could still feel the aftermath of what happened, her skin tingles before she look away to the source of her consciousness.

Her bloody phone ringing.

"Hey." She groggily answered seeing that it was Kauthar, she wouldn't have picked if it were any other person. Won't they leave person to rest a day after their wedding?!

"Hey, sorry I woke you up. Uh, is my airpods with you? I need it asap and I can't find it here so I thought it's either with you or B." In reality, that is a whole lie she plotted to scheme out what she wants.

She awoke earlier with a letter from Mujaheed telling her he is needed at the barrack immediately and he is sorry blah blah blah. She was angry, no furious! How could the man leave a day after their wedding when they didn't even talk to sort out their differences?! She wanted to let this work but he already left for some important mission more important than her and their marriage? What would people think about them now?!

That is why she said she didn't want to marry someone like him, he is not considerate! She's fumed for awhile before deciding to play this trick and see whether Mujaddad is also not home, she will feel at ease if he isn't. And if he is at home, ha, she will bury her husband ten feet underground!

"Oh, let me search it for you, a minute." Fayha opened the bedside drawer knowing all her gadgets from laptop, phones, airpods, earpiece, MacBook and all others are placed in there but she didn't find Kauthar's airpods.

"Ah, it is not here with me, maybe with B." She mumbles into the phone still searching through the drawer then gave up after a while, it isn't with her.

"Sorry I woke you up, go back to your hubby." She intentionally didn't hang up the phone hoping Fayha will release that information she yearned for. It is seriously important that she finds out, extremely so.

"Oh, he's left for some important work at the office." She kept quite, while Kauthar on the other hand let out a relieved sigh feeling all her rage cooling down, the guy is one lucky Major, "I know yours isn't home since they left together, let's surprise them with a visit. Please don't say no, get ready and I'll come pick you in twenty." Fayha hung up the phone before she could reject the proposal.

"Darn it." She hissed then made her way to the bathroom for Fayha will be there in the given time.
