Chapter 17: Chapter 17
ABUJA, NIGERIA.
"Well then, I will be waiting for your surprise. Don't take too long, I might go crazy without seeing you in this beautiful outfit." He circled his arms around her waist which is closed with thin clothing of her robe. He should not get too carried away, he chanted in his head while looking at his well makeup-ed wife.
She looks exquisite!
"I won't take too long." She grinned, pecked his jaw then draw him out of the room so he can leave. Time is already running out and he wants to pray isha with his friends before entering the hall. She pushed him to the door, greeted her brothers then went back inside to lounge around with her friends.
"It looks like no one is supporting Zara in this. You can't believe how many bad comments she's been getting about taking someone's husband. I'm starting to feel bad for her, I'd be depressed if I were her. And maybe even back out from this marriage, everyone is clearly against it." Kauthar shook her head, her eyes dead on her phone which makes Amani curious and brought her own phone out.
So many comments on her new pictures, the ones she posted earlier with her husband and baby. Everyone is just passing their love, asking her to take heart and all those sort of things, she felt deeply touched with their gesture. Sometimes people find more solace on social media support than they do when they get it from their close family or friends, those ones know just how to get to you. She almost teared up while reading some but since she hates the idea of ruining her makeup, she blinked back and continue to read.
Just like Fayha had said, it seems like some of them worship the place she drop her feet on. Some said they will shatter the wedding one way or the other. She can't go out and tell them they shouldn't but hope they will be sensible enough to not do that. She is not doing anything to ruin it and neither should they, the marriage is none of their business but she appreciate their concern and nice words. She needs to make that mini party for her fans, they are her supporters.
She concluded about talking it with Mika'il after everything settles down, she will do that for them. She might not wait for the day she first get her client for any anniversary or wait for her twitter and Instagram followers to reach any number. For the first time, Fayha's words makes sense to her and she will use her words for the first time too. The girl still has small sense which makes Amani proud, she is her friend and sister after all.
"I'm thinking about your advise, Fay. I think I should throw this mini party for my fans sometime-" She was cut off by Fayha and Afrah's squeals of excitement making her regret what she said for a little while then shake off the bad feeling and glare offendingly at them, they kept quite immediately.
"She will change her mind if we don't keep quite." And just like that, they kept shut, like their batteries were removed. She sighed, it feels like Afrah and Fayha are best friends or those weird sisters that are always happy for each other.
"Good that you know that much about me. Now keep quite and I think it's almost time, why don't we get ready?" She inclined her head to Kauthar who nodded, it is already thirty minutes before nine and all they need to do is wear their clothes, ask the makeup artist to retouch their makeups and also do their turbans.
"Yes, we should." They all stood up after that declaration from Kauthar and made their way to the room they use while Amani made her way to the master room. She will call her mother and ask her to send some people so their furniture can be exchanged quick before they come back. Her co-wife will be there the next day, she wants to avoid unnecessary talks.
She smiled, staring deeply at the ruby gown waiting for her to slip it on. In all the clothes Zara gave her to sew, there is nothing like any of the ones she did herself. From the looks of it, Zara is going to wear the white one she sew for her, it is too much. She gave her every little detail and all she has to do is let them have their way, she is not one to stop anyone from the style they want. She will only smile and draw it down, her mission accomplished then you will fix a date you want it.
The gown she sew, the white one has too much lace that four people can wear. The bust is tight but then when it flared down, she couldn't count how many yards she used for that tulle that fell loosely down that it trailed so many inches behind her. It looks beautiful if she would say so herself but the money they spent in that simple gown is enough to feed one orphanage, and she bet she won't ever wear after it. She can't wear it to any event, it'll be too much and she can't wear it at home, she cry herself. So that leaves to her giving her siblings, but would they like seen in public with the clothes their elder sister wore to her wedding? Probably not!
She has been thinking about the gowns though, what will she do with it after the dinner later? She knew she could wear her own anywhere and everywhere, she didn't make it too extravagant but really eye-catching and gorgeous. She has been too anxious to wear the clothes and go out with it, everyone that knows about the gown is also anticipating. She's exaggerated it but she knew it will look completely good on her, no doubt about her figure and the size she taped herself.
With a small smile, she took it off the hanger and admire it. She removed the robe from her body, making sure her underwear are sitting intact then trudge her arms into the sleeves of the gown. After that, her whole body slipped in casually making a grin appearing on her lips even though the cloth is slightly heavy because of the linens inside and other landings she's used underneath the ruby lace. Ruby, her and her husband's favorite colour, she didn't wear it for him.
He's been bugging her to wear it just for him to see for two minutes but she didn't, she said she will surprise him and she would. She's been talking about the gown ever since she finished and seeing the result it brought out, she wished it was Fayha's wedding or Kauthar's, she feels like she is wasting her clothes on her co-wife's wedding, she doesn't like the thought at all. Well, she can always try something new and better when the time comes, but for now, she needs to make Zara's blood boil.
The ruby dress is sewn into fitted gown which tighten her every shape making her hourglass figure more prominent and charming. Just before her knees, she let it flitter in asymmetrical circular colossal pleats making it look like a tulle, she makes it look bulky too. Just looking below her at the mirror makes a huge smile take place on her lips. She has a veil meant for it because she can't really go out in that fitted gown showing all her curves to the world when she is married. The sleeves are in circular flounce with matching colossal pleats to make it more eye-catching. While the neckline is bateau made with ruby expensive different lace, golden beads arranged. She smiled, that took hardworking days but the result is amazing.
Removing the gold accessories her mother in-law gifted her some days back, she has her own but her mother in-law insist on giving her her own dannan kirji for her son's misdeed and her girls think it looks way shinier and better than the ones she had so she agreed to wear them. Ruby and golden makes the best combination, she knows that seeing it's her favorite colour. She adorned her ears, her neck, her fingers and wrist making a beam appear again on her face.
She looks extremely beautiful if she would say so herself.
Grinning more widely, she use her left hand to hold onto the colossal pleats of her gown while her right hand clutch onto the ruby with glints of gold turban yard she already have in her closet. Making her way out of the room, she found the makeup artist sitting all alone with a phone in her hands. When she felt Amani's presence, she rose her head and gave her a beautiful smile all the while admiring her work on the woman then giving her a hats off seeing the beautiful gown she is wearing.
Wow, she needs to get some money and bring her wedding gown to this renowned tailor to sew for her, Zeenai thought wistfully.
"Help me with this." Amani passed the raw silk to Zeenai who smiled and stood up from her chair so she can tie it on her client after asking her to sit on the chair she was occupying just seconds ago.
Before Zeenai could finish the last touches of pleats, the girls walked out of the room they went in to get dressed. They are featuring blood red fitted gown each with different style which she clearly remembered sewing some days ago. They also have gold accessories adorning their ears and necks, Amani could only beam at the sight. She loves seeing people wearing what she sew, it makes her feel giddy and more passionate about her job.
They all decide on wearing something similar to red since Zara's bridesmaids are wearing wine colour, they should not take too much attention and rather sink in together with everyone. The entrance alone will make her blood boil so they should let her at that, that doesn't mean they won't cause the dancefloor to catch flames if her side of people try anything stupid. They know just the best way to get back at her till this whole wedding ends tomorrow.
"Ya Allah, can you get anymore gorgeous?" Afrah asked with a pout, holding onto her own red raw silk just like the other two girls behind her.
Afrah's gown is fitted and from the knees downwards is sewn into Godet, making it look more beautiful to her small frame. From the looks of it, she is wearing a girdle because a shape Amani never knew she had made an appearance. The neckline is only square shaped where Amani added some beads and lace just like hers then the cuffed long sleeves closed with only net, showcasing her lean arms. All in all, Amani will say kudos to herself seeing how beautiful she made her sister in-law look.
"I don't think I will let myself be called your friend. People will bully me for being ugly." Amani laughed at Fayha grumbles hearing a soft chuckle from Zeenai behind her. The girl knew how to act all dramatic.
She is starring a pencil gown, from her waist downwards, is draped with the lace giving it another unique style. It also brought out Fayha's pear shaped figure, her hips more prominent even in the drape then the neckline is asymmetric. Seeing the girl has one fine neck, she had to show it off with the gown then the petal long sleeves she forced Amani to try doing. She normally only does petal short sleeves but it looks good even in long sleeves. The girl literally slaughtered that outfit and will most likely get her brother's attention.
"She doesn't even look that good. C'mon, yell out how beautiful I look in my own clothes." Kauthar flounced her gown around them making the girls laugh and Amani to stand up so Afrah can sit and get her head tie tied since Zeenai is done with hers just after Fayha's drama.
On the other hand, Kauthar is starring a mermaid fitted gown which tightened around her hips and bosom, she has got the figure that it is almost too much for her. Even though Amani has the best hourglass figure, she won't compare herself with Kauthar's because her curves are more voluptuous and edgy. Her neckline is bateau to stop unnecessary attention from going to her chest the Marie long sleeves. She looks beautiful, her fiancée will definitely leap to the sky.
"You girls look gorgeous and I hope you won't set the place on fire with so much hotness. I, will just sit by the side and see guys courting. It's good being single, ya know." Amani laughed when they rolled their eyes at her knowing fully well she is just teasing them for being single and she loves her husband to even think about being single again.
"Tease us all you want, I will record it one day and give it to MM to hear just how much you hate being married." Kauthar grinned cheekily when Amani glare at her.
"He won't believe you. Love will always triumph over evil so don't try that or you end up crying." Amani shrugged her shoulders when Kauthar glared at her this time then grumbled how nauseous their love is.
"Well, I'm going to bring my other stuff so suit yourselves before I come out." With that, Amani strut back to her room to finish the last touches of her clothing.
Removing a golden Brian Atwood stilettoes with so many beads that makes it glisten due to the waterfall chandelier in their room. She grinned and stood up, balancing herself by holding the mirror in front of her. Making sure she can walk perfectly well, she smiled at the mirror again trying hard not to think about whose wedding she is going to. She is only going there to support her husband and be there for him. She knew how much he needs her there even though he is giving her other options of staying at home.
He needs her there, he's said it once.
The golden veil is draped around her shoulder closing from her shoulders down to her behind, she makes it look like it is also sewn along with the gown like a cape. Lastly, she took the golden Loewe Puzzle clutch and made her way to the door making sure everything necessary is in it. Swallowing another lump in her throat for the last time to gather more of her emotions, she paste a smile and made her way out to the girls.
Fayha has a silver Hermes clutch in her hand while her legs are clasped with matching silver pumps and it weirdly compliment the gold she wore. Kauthar on the other hand in with golden Goyard baguette bag, her feet encased in leather golden cone heels. Down to Afrah who looks way more beautiful than all of them. She has a channel envelope clutch in between her fingers while she has on strap platform heels, she looks taller than them all in those.
Amani grinned, they sure are ready to quell each breathing specie in that place.
"Let's go rock that wedding!" Afrah and Fayha bumped their fists in the air while grinning in utter mischief.
"Don't take too much spotlight please." Amani chuckled as they made their way out of the house meeting the cars waiting for them.
"No promises, babes." Kauthar smiled while texting on her phone.
Her brothers really are going overboard with this whole possessiveness!
