Still lost in his thought, Joe couldn't tell if he is supposed to just believe all that was going on in his mind, and even though all he could feel at the time was to just end the life of his friend, he still wants to believe that there is a mix up somehow.

As he lay in his hotel room, he raised his head to the ceiling, and he remembers the first time he actually introduced Joan to him as someone he would love to actually keep, especially since he has the feeling that he should protect her from whoever it is that was chasing her.

"She is beautiful, she is my spec, I love Blondies". He remembers Edward saying that to him that day, though he didn't say it Infront of her, but he feels that somehow, he must have made her know that he was into her, and they have decided to get along somehow behind him and how could he have been so blinded by trust, that he didn't try to double check, again and again.

Joe kept questioning himself that he only got furious with the images in his head. If it had been someone else, he would have sent his boys to summon him, and not summon him that he will walk to him with his legs, he would have been dragged to him, but he wouldn't want to do that to someone he once called a friend, he wants to give him the benefit of doubt.

The next day, he had an early one, he has his plans all set out, he was going to run a check on him, and see how he reacts, one of his men is already somewhere watching Edward's reaction to what he is about to do, when he receives his call, and he is being captured, so that Joe could see it too.

As he dialed his number and it started ringing, he closed his eyes and wish that Edward be innocent, and the whole blame be on Joan, that would make him feel better than loosing a friend he had known all his life as a brother.

They had dined together, slept together, did shady and crazy businesses together, but that should not be a reason for him to think they could sleep with the same woman. It took a while before he took the call, and Joe had to clear his throat so as to sound normal, and not so angry.

"Hey man". He says.

"Hey Joe, how are you doing, are you back already?

"No I am not, I decided to stay back for a while, I met with Joan's parents, and guess what, they are really sweet, just that they are also looking for their child, I feel so bad for them".

Edward was shocked, which was normal, then again he thought that he was just pulling his legs, he used to do that, but doing that to him now that he is so scared wouldn't work, so he just had to sit up and ask.

"Joan's parents? How did you know her parents, I thought you said she didn't have any, and she never mentioned anyone to you? He asked, and Joe started laughing sincerely at himself for though he was married to Joan for a few years, she never really mentioned anyone to him as his family, he was just lucky that the night he first met her, she was with Elena, and that is the only person he knows.

"Yes she didn't, I understand your shock, but I ran into her friend, the one I told you was with her the night we met, she was the one that took me to her parents and I learnt that for almost three years now, they are also looking for her". He says and his eyes opened wide.

"You can't be serious, but what did they say about her? He managed to ask, but he had already started drowning in fear.

"Well, they said she is missing, and they begged me to help them find her, which I plan to. I mean you should have seen their faces, they broke down, holding me and begging me to help bring their daughter back to them, they said she is their only child". Edward held his heart, it felt like it would come out through his mouth, then Joe added.

But I don't know if I am going to do that,". He says, Which shocked Edward in a way, even though it was good news for him.

"You won't? He asked and that was when Joe shocked him more with the next thing.

"Yes, I won't, I mean she was cheating on me with some guy, while we were married, can you imagine that? She wasn't even scared, someone I was helping, she was running away from someone, and I was protecting her from that someone, and she still had to cheat on me. But don't you worry, no one will fuck my wife and stay alive, I will find the man, and remove that thing he used in laying with my wife". When he mentioned that, Edward unconsciously held his manhood in fear, he looked around him and wouldn't stop feeling scared, his heart raced up and down and he could only pray, that he doesn't already know that it was him.

"Are you....sure it wasn't the guy she was running away from? Maybe she went back to him, you know girls and their choices of men". He says and fakes a laugh, trying to get him to think it must be a bad guy like him that also took his woman from him, but he got an even bigger shock.

"No it wasn't, I know the man she was running away from, he is a bad man quite alright, but he knew he isn't supposed to mess with me, but he isn't the one involved, and that is why I am not going to go for him. They mentioned someone to me, they said she told them so much about the person, and that is the person, I am going to find". He says and paused, wanting him to demand for the name, so he could shock him, some more.

"What name did they mention? He asked, and with a falling intonation, he got his answer.

"They call him Eddy".
