Chapter 155: Chapter 155

Vicky stood Infront of Juliet's house, looking out at the City. After they left the court, she and her brother followed her back to her house, the one that had been sealed by the police before, because she was declared missing, but her appearance at the court, have helped shed more lights to the case at hand, and brought it to an end, which made them open her house so she doesn't keep running around.

She could never have thought that they would find themselves in the city again.

Running away from their father is the worse feeling, because you will be filled with hurt and heart breaks, that you wouldn't know if you are to keep running, or you are to stay put at a place.

Juliet's place is really nice and spacious, with a great view, and she looks happy to have them with her. she wouldn't even allow them go to stay at a hotel, not like they could afford it.

Vicky is so happy, seeing her brother so happy, He is inlove with Juliet, they love eachother, and just seeing them so happy, completes her. But since yesterday at the court, seeing their father again, and hearing his confessions, as to what he did to Sandra, when she was little, only ended up making them hate him the more, and the news got Dylan more angry, especially how the world kept referring to him.as his father, and his son, to which he cannot wait to have his name changed, for he wouldn't want to have anything to do with a murderer like him.

She was still standing outside and watching the city, when she spotted him again, he didn't seem lost, he was making his way straight to the house.

He was the one that had dropped them yesterday, after their exchange of pleasantries, though they didn't seem to have much to share.

He sighted her from where she was seated, and she waved at him, showing him that she has seen him too.

He had to take the stairs, before reaching her. They shook hands, and she didn't bother asking him to go inside, since it isn't her house, she just gave him a seat outside the veranda, where she had been sitting and looking out.

"Brainy, or should I call you barrister Brainy? She asked, and he chukkled.

"You can call me, whichever one you seem comfortable with". He says with a smile.

"What brings you by Brainy, and where is your brother browny, I really would love to see him". She says, while Brainy acted as though he was jealous.

"Just because I am not into health or medicine, doesn't mean, you will just forget me like that. I told you already that Browny is working at a health centre, though he has plans of opening up his own, or partnering with someone, since the cost to open, might not be that easy for him to get now, but Vicky, I am not here to discuss my twin, what's up with you?

Now that you are back with your brother and your father is now behind bars, what is the plan?

She thought hard, funny enough, she had never really thought of what she plans to do, but now that he was asking, maybe she could start thinking.

"I guess I will have to think, because truthfully, I haven't thought of what I want to do". He stared at her, with wide eyed.

"That is the plan you should already have even before coming out, from your hiding place. Okay, let's start with the ones that is less pressing.

Your father was apologizing, what is the plan with him, are you not going to reconcile with him? Are you not ever going to speak to him? Are you going to nail him along side the law? He was asking, that is one thing she knows of him, very inquisitive, and always willing to bring in new ideas, after hearing hers.

"Well, as for my dad, I hold no grudge against him, just that I wish my mum stayed alive, I wish she never crashed in that car, maybe we wouldn't have stayed hidden for that long, and the truth, wouldn't have taken this long to come out, but since it has happened like this, I guess all we can do is forgive him, pray for his soul and move on".

She answered, but before Brainy could say anything, the door opened and Juliet and Dylan walked out, holding hands.

"I am never going to forgive me, as far as I am concerned, I have no father". Juliet looked shocked at him, for they just had the discussion, while inside, and he seemed to have been listening to her, when she was telling him that he should forgive his father, while he had told her that they should go to the Anderson's and apologize, who knows, they might give her, her job back, since she enjoys working there. It is the Anderson's, that they were going, when he joined in the discussion.

"I thought we talked about this my love? She asked, holding him down, but he looked determined.

"We did talk about it, but I never said I forgive him". He replied, and so, he waved at his sister, before walking away.

Vicky and Brainy, stared at them, till they were out of sight, then he turned to Vicky for them to continue.

"That is your brother's opinion, and since you have forgiven him, you are going to have to visit him, that way, he could know that you have forgiven him, and you could both move on with your lives". Vicky couldn't tell, if he came all the way to tell her about she and her father's relationship, or there is something else, she decided to change the topic, so they could talk less of her.

"I will do just that Brainy, and thank you. Anyways, how is the family, you know, wife and children". She was indirectly asking if he was married or have children. He got the message, and smiles.

"If that is your own way of asking me if I am married, you don't need to, it is obvious I am not married. Though I was married, and got divorced, but that is a story for another day". He too seem to be in a hurry, to talk about something else, other than what they were discussing at the time.

"You know, when I came into town last year, I went straight to your father, I wanted to know how he was coping, and also, to get a glimpse of your picture on the wall. The only thing I regret, is not having your picture". He says and she smiles.

"And when you visited him, did you find my picture? She asked.

"Yes off course, he hung it everywhere. I guess he was drowning in guilt, for the sins he committed". He says, he doesn't seem to want to drop the topic, so she gave him a piece of her.

"Drowning in guilt? No he wasn't, because if he was, he won't engage in another act of deceit, he would have stood for the truth, even if he was being threatened, he should have tried to redeem himself". He says and Brainy was made to keep quite, for a while, before he spoke up again, this time, he spoke his mind. The main thing he had in mind, before coming.

"Why don't we go out on a date. You know, catch up on old times, and I could tell you all the things you missed, when you were declared dead". He says, and she smiles.

It would hurt her to hear tales from the past, but maybe walking into the past, can help her understand the future better, so she agrees to go out on a date with him. A date of flash back or a dating of moving to the past, to understand the future.
