Chapter 152: Chapter 152

After the Judge walked in and took her seat, she stared inti the faces of everyone in the court room, even she wonders why the room was full. She suspected that it must be Sandra's handwork, she probably wants to have a lot of people witness her victory, and she looks ready for the victory. Today is the only day she had appeared in court, looking so beautiful, with her face so made, other times, she always wants to portray the character of a victim, evoking pity, but today seems different, and the judge looks happy that she was begining to enjoy and adjust to her newest position.

Samantha was sitting just behind Craig, with Linda beside her. Sandra finds herself looking back at them, to see if she could sense what they know, but nothing seems out of the ordinary, just the fact that they aren't looking too gloomy, especially since moreoney is about to be leaving their pocket every month, causing the world to speak more ill about them, bringing down their names in the business world.

The judge clears her throat, then starts.

"We do not plan to waste so much time, today, I know you are all very busy people, so we will start immediately with the defendant.

Craig's lawyer got up and started.

"We have gotten the message to come to court as regards the increase in allowance, that was ruled out the other time, since we have been invited back, I want to know if it is to be completely ruled out, or we are reducing it". He says, and everyone in the court room laughed, for that sounds almost impossible, and the Judge laughed.

"Let's hear from the persecutor". Sandra's lawyer got up, with smiles and hope, he started.

The Anderson's are trying really hard to shy away from their responsibilities, which is evident on my client (He pointed at her growing belly and she even had to caress it to draw attention to herself, but looking back to see how Samantha and Linda were feeling, she noticed that they had a mock on their faces, and her jaw dropped)

The money that is being paid to her every month is not enough, and we expect that the court should understand this, since my client currently has no job, she is fully dependant on what she expects to get from him, before she will be able to have her life back, at least, after the baby is born.

Also, there is a new evidence, that the Anderson's, are only trying to make my client loose out, by threatening all the people in her life. Some weeks ago, doctor Bobby here, was visited by Mrs Samantha Craig Anderson and miss Linda.

They were there to threaten him, saying he should testify that the result of the test were fake, and how can it be fake, when the bum is clearly showing, or are they trying to say that Craig isn't the father of the baby in her womb, because my client is ready to have a test done, after the baby is born, or even now, as the case may be". The people started murmuring hateful words against the Anderson's, but funny enough, they didn't seem touched, they were only patiently waiting for their moment when they would be asked to defend themselves.

That is not all, last week, my client met with her doctor, who had been very busy at a late hour, after they were done, my client left, and since the doctor was waiting for someone else, he didn't leave with her, only to be attacked by Mr Craig Anderson here, who still threatened him, just like his wife did". The murmur increased, but just like before, Samantha, Craig and Linda, were in no way touched.

I will stop here for now, but I believe that even your lordship, will agree with me, that even the money we are demanding for, is too small and should be increased for all the crazy things, and dubious ways, the Anderson's are going about the matter". He concluded, bowed his head and went back to his seat, while Sandra looked victoriously at them.

"Defendant, do you have anything to say, or should I just proceed? The judge spoke in anger, they didn't think the lawyer will still want to say anything, after all the allegations laid against his client, but he got up and started.

"Truely my client's wife visited the doctor at the hospital, but she has her reasons, she went there to ask questions as regards this. (He showed them the test result, giving it to the judge who went through it.

The doctor doesn't run the test and signs them, not like he cannot, but he doesn't, why then, did he sign that of Sandra. Her suspicion got the better of her, when she discovered that miss Sandra and the doctor, have a long time relationship. Her father, and the doctor are close friends, which can actually make him want to go out of his way to help her". He was still talking when the other lawyer shouted.

"Objection my Lord! But the Judge was enjoying this drama, and the shirt court proceedings she had thought this would be, was looking longer than planned.

"Objection overruled. Please continue". She says, and the lawyer thanked her.

Their search for the truth didn't stop there, they decided to watch them some more, you will agree with me, when you know someone is an enemy, you watch closely before they strike, else how are we going to explain the fact that my Client have no memory of the act that happened that night, unless of course, something was given to him, that caused a part of his memory to be lost till date, and also, it was the doctor, that directed them, on that same night, as to where to find Craig and miss Sandra, before she claimed rape.

Truely that night, they gathered their facts and followed miss Sandra, only to find her meeting with the doctor at an unusual place, they could no longer confront her, they decided to just watch, after she was done talking with the doctor, she left, while he waited a while, as though he didn't want people to know that they were coming from the same place, and his wait, was what led to the gangsters in the area, who came out to rob him, taking his wristwatches, phones and money, as he had said earlier. You know what my client is worth, what will he do with Doctor Bobby's wrist watch, and how much could possibly be in his wallet that he will want to steal. If he did rob him, why show his face? He saw that the old man might need help, so he helped him, he had one of his men, drive him home, sharing with him all that they know, before he gets caught in the cross fire, because he has a lot to loose.

Now to crown it all, please allow me to play this". He brought the tape, playing it to the hearing of every one.

They all heard the discussion between Sandra and doctor Bobby, and how she threatens him to support her, else she would tell the world all about him.

The entire court went into dystopia, disarray and confusion, increasing the murmur, Sandra buried her face, while doctor Bobby tries to take the chance to run away.
