Chapter 123: Chapter 123

While at home. Samantha couldn't look Craig in the eye, she was feeling awkward about everything.

She found herself in the bar, thinking of everything that had happened, and how she has fallen desperately inlove with her ex student, only to get her heart broken by the same person she is inlove with.

She was still there thinking, when Mary came to her with the baby, saying, that he needed attention.

She attended to him, after breast feeding him, she wanted to say something to her, but she didn't know how to start, Samantha cuddled the boy, until he went back to sleep, and Mary went back with him, since Samantha wasn't welcoming any form of discussion about what has happened with her.

Craig met Mary around the pool side, as he was also coming to see Samantha.

"How is she? He asked.

"She is devastated, she won't stop crying, even while she was breastfeeding him, she had tears, locked around her eye, I feel terrible for her, she is so sad". She was also crying, as she was explaining, but Craig, being a man, is able to hide his hurt, he allowed her leave, while he went in to see her.

By the time he got to the bar, he searched for a wine that has no alcohol, even though it was hard for such a drink to be in his bar, he had to get some, because of Samantha and others in his house.

He poured himself a glass, then sat on the floor with her, poured the other glass and handed it over to her. Her heart was heavy, she was longing for a drink, so she took it, but it was no alcohol, after she had poured it into her mouth, she looked up at him.

"What is this? I need a hot drink". She says, letting out her tears.

"No you don't". He replied, drinking up, what is remaining, from his glass, she did same, sat up, staring at him. They both stared at eachother for a long time, without saying anything. She wished there is something else she could do, for she could see that he is also hurt inside, and he is only trying to be brave.

"I need alcohol". She says, looking away.

"You don't, I wouldn't want Myles to suck it out from you, and it is not healthy for you right now". He says.

He also knows she doesn't want to take it, she has been there longer before he came, and she didn't take anything.

"You are worried about Myles? I guess you should be more worried about the baby, yet to come. You really had sex with Sandra Craig, I cannot believe it". She broke down, after saying what is bothering her, but Craig was really calm. He allowed her to vent and express herself, before he spoke up.

"I know that you are bothered, angry and you must really hate me right now, but whatever it is, I will like you to know, that I didn't do anything like that intentionally.

I went to my doctor, for the result of the test I had weeks ago, I wanted to know why I couldn't remember anything, but because of the recent happenings, I never bothered about the result of the test, but now that I went to him, he said that there is a presence of a reaction, responsible for giving somebody a partial memory loss, which I think I had, and that was the reason, I have no memory of what happened before I went into the room, or how I even got there with her". He explains. And she sat up hopefully.

"That means, she poisoned you? (She was asking and saying at the same time) what if the camera caught her, why don't we check the cameras at the party that day, to see what really happened? She suggested.

If they are able to prove that Sandra poisoned Craig, she would pay for everything, and even pay for damages caused on them. Now Craig is the most talked about man in the federation. His name is all over the internet, and people are saying terrible things about him.

"As soon as he told me, that was the first thing I did, and I was not too surprised, that nothing like that existed.

All the videos, from that night, on the other sides, of the area, apart from the hall, have been wiped out". He says, angry with himself that he didn't think of it earlier, he would have sought for the camera on that same day, but how could he blame himself, when after he woke up from his unsure environment, he still felt like he was still sleeping, and haven't woken up yet, until after two more days, when he was told that she was in labour.

Sandra did something to me, and I trusted her blindly, because of how far we have come, but I promise to get to the root of what she did". He says, hoping she would feel better, but she didn't look better, she was hurt, she yelled.

"That is not the point Craig, we have a real case at hand, she is expecting a baby. Your baby, and you want me to just keep calm about it?

"That should not bother you my love, it doesn't change how I feel about you". He was trying to make her feel better, but she got up with pain in her heart.

"That is not the point, you hurt me, I feel terrible now, and there is nothing, that can be said, that would change the fact that I feel hurt". She was crying now, and her voice could be heard inside the main building.

"Samantha please, I need you to.....

"Leave me alone Craig, I want to be alone". She says and walked away. He sat down back on the floor, after taking another bottle of alcoholic drink, without using a glass, he turned it into his mouth. He kept drinking as though it was water, until he felt nauseated, but he didn't throw up, he was exhausted, he lay on the floor, and beat himself up, till he fell into an unconscious state.
