Chapter 115: Chapter 115

Samantha was having difficulty having the baby, she was in labour for a long time, longer than she had ever been.

She opened her eye, and looked around, Mary and Whitney were closest to her, while Linda was working with the team, to make sure everything was going well. She swallowed hard and turned beside her, at the voice of Sir Anderson and his wife, but there was no sign of Craig, which was a strong reason for her to worry.

And even though she was feeling pain and having a hard time, she still asked Linda.

"Is my husband here yet? Linda held her by the hand and tries saying something else, because she doesn't need such an information at that time.

"You really need to focus on having this baby, think of your child, and no one else". Soon the Doctor came in to check on her, and shook his head, saying she was not ready to have the baby, that she was not dilated yet.

Linda sat close to her, and continued to encourage her that she would do fine, but Samantha wanted to see Craig, she could not explain how one can go from being a sweet and loving husband, to a cold and heartless husband. She then asked Linda to get the Anderson's inside the room, that she needed them or anyone to tell her what was going on.

When they walked back in with Linda, Samantha was a bit calmer, the pressure was not much, because she was not dilated yet, even though she could feel pain, which was excruciating, she still needed to focus on what was important.

"Why is Craig not here? ma Anderson turned to look around her, before moving close to Samantha, maybe she doesn't want her husband to hear what she is about to say, for he wouldn't want them to break the news to her like that.

"I have to be truthful to you, I don't understand what happened. He wanted you to be with him a few hours ago, he would have left the party ground just to be with you and now he can't even explain what is happening to him? It's almost as though his memory of you is wiped away". She says.

That was something she wasn't supposed to share with her, but she didn't want to lie, when Anderson heard what she said, she immediately rebuked her.

"Don't listen to her Sam, Craig is on his way right now". He says and went outside to call him.

Samantha sat back on the bed, and unable to hide her tears, she broke down in tears, while her pains only increased.

Mary and Whitney also cried with her, until she was taken out of the room to the labour room by Linda.

Sir Anderson only had to dial Craig's number once, to have him pick his call.

"Pops, where are you?

"I am at the hospital with your wife, I think she is going to have your baby today, but if you are not here to encourage her, she is going to have a hard labour". He says, expecting him to say he would be there in a bit, but he shocked him by sounding cold.

"I know her to be my teacher, I remember she taught me and she was quite sweet and nice, but when did I Marry her? He asked.

"Craig, even if you don't remember her, just do me a favour, of pretending and getting yourself down here, so that she could have her baby, I will explain to you later".

"But pops, that would be lying to her, I never want to lie to a good woman like that". Craig says and Anderson sighs.

"If she has ever been nice to you, even if it's for once, do this for the sake of the baby, please save her life, we will figure out the rest". His pops says and only ended the call, when he says he is on his way.

Anderson went back happily to tell her that he was on his way, and that soon, he would be with her, she felt a bit relaxed, hoping to find him as soon as possible, but it took him more than thirty minutes to find his way to the hospital, and when he entered, it was obvious that he was acting, but it was enough for Samantha, just seeing him there. She could see that he was struggling to remember things and understand what was going on, but she could not explain it too, even though she knows that whatever it is that is wrong with him, has everything to do with Sandra.

"Sam, you can do this, you have to try". Was the first thing he managed to say, since he entered and seeing how much she was struggling. Just hearing his voice, still as calm and calculative as she remembers, she gave in to trying.

Sam, amidst the labour, displayed an unwavering strength, her face etched, with determination as she bore each contraction, with incredible resilience.

She focused her breath, trying to follow what the doctors were doing, and what Craig was doing.

Her focused breath, echoed a silent anthem of endurance, and in her eyes, holds a blend of fortitude and anticipation. She tries to zero her heart from what she had seen earlier, and what had led her to an early labor. she closed her eyes to what have hurt her, to what would have been a memorable day for her, turned to a sorrowful day, but her fortitude and anticipation shone brightly as she courageously embark on the miraculous journey, of bringing new life, into the world.

She etched, she pushed, she cried, she smiled, and in the end, she was able to bring forth a baby boy into the world, as soon as Craig held the tiny boy in his hands, he started to feel dizzy, the doctor noticed and took the baby from him. He was helped to a room, where he blacked out, only to wake up again, with his memory, back intact.

He looked around him and he was alone in bed, he got up and searched for the room he had been before the black out.

He found his grandmother by the corridor, and she hugged him.

"You are awake, I was so worried".

"Thanks granny, but what happened to me, it seem as though I have been asleep all this while, even though I have been awake.

I know I was in the room with Samantha, before she gave birth, and I know everything that happened before then, but how I ended up half Naked in bed with Sandra, was something I can not explain".

"Just come with me son". She says and he followed her. They both stood by the glass door, looking at her.

Mary was holding her right hand, while Whitney was sleeping in the same bed with her.

He stared into Samantha's sleepy eyes, and a tear dropped.

Whatever happened to him, he was going to fix it, but first, Sandra needs to explain to him, what happened.
