Chapter 28: Chapter 28

“It's over now... Forget what we had relationship before... And please get out of here.” That’s only words of Aaron echoing in Kate’s ear.

Charles nodded to her, “he is saying right ... you can never be one. Kate, stay away from us now. You are new in that you are small also. The rest of the hunters who are older and more experienced than you will help us.”

Everyone was watching Kate. Their eyes were piercing her. There were tears in her eyes. She did not know what to say. But still she did not utter a word. She walked out the same way. So William and Laura followed her. Lily was already standing out. Seeing Kate coming out crying, she approached her. Laura also reached there.

Lily said, “Kate, he love you very much, I have never seen him so involved in anyone till today. Think about this, he care about you. If you understand him well, you will know the concern behind this.”

Kate look at her, “That does not mean that he will be say anything he thinks. He has made his decision. I want to go home ... Charles also behaved like this ... enough.”

Laura told her, “You go home. I don't want you here.” And Laura's eyes filled with tears.

Kate look at her, “you also saying like that?”

Kate never turn around. She was still walking alone. Lily brought the car from behind. She Asked Kate to sit inside. Kate was not in the mood to say anything. She sat inside, while another man was sitting inside. He was going to build a safety net outside Kate's house.

Tears were coming out of Kate's eyes. Lily glanced at her once. She wanted to say something to Kate but she didn't say anything. Lily gave Kate a necklace with a red glass diamond attached to it.

There had blood in the diamond so it looked red. Lily told her it was the blood of Aaron. If anyone is injured in your house, give them this blood. The blood of vampires has the power to heal quickly. But Kate denied it. But Lily forcibly gave her the diamond, leaving the chain. Once they reached home. Safety net was put in place there. They both left Kate and went back.

Kate wiped her own eyes while standing out of the house. Lucy opened the door. Just as Lucy was about to say something to her, she left to her own room.

So Lucy followed her and approached her. She asked. "What happened?"

But Kate did not answer. Lucy asked her back but she got the answer "nothing". Lucy left her alone and she left from there. Kate placed the chain in her hand and the diamond on the table in front of her. She had been sitting on her bed for a while. Thoughts were lingering in her mind.

"I was used as long as I needed to. No one can predict what will happen in the future. Flora herself told me that. But they push me away. I know there is a reason for keeping me away. But they can explain it. They have become very mean. Laura did the same thing. They have found an alternative. I will never look back at them. But if I had to think like that, I would have to understand them first. But they can't do that to me. There's an eclipse tomorrow afternoon, and Felix will try his hand on it tomorrow, and I'm ready to die if everyone survives after I die, but I have no idea where they're going and what will happen to them next.” her train of thoughts was not taking the name of ending.

She was getting angry while thinking, the words of Aaron were falling on her ears. "We can't be one," she become emotional. The only thought in her mind was, "I am a hunter, so this all happening then I don't want this anymore." In the meantime, Kate got up from her bed and drank the nectar of becoming human again given by her mother.

After drinking it, the veins in her body became clear to her again. Energy began to flow out of her eyes. Kate started screaming loudly. Hearing her voice, her mother, father, aunt and uncle all came to her room. When they entered the room, they saw Kate unconscious and floating in the air. She was not conscious. Red energy was radiating from her body. Her parents knew what it was. And he explained to Owen and Lucy and sent them back down. They took Kate down from the air and lay her down on bed. Her body was returning to human form again. The light coming from her body was now beginning to diminish.

After the next 2 hours she was back to conscious. She opened her eyes and saw her parents in front of her. She woke up rubbing her eyes. Her head was aching. She was struggling to identify who was standing in front of her. Her mother help her to wake up. Kate sat up. Tears welled up in her eyes.

Kate said, “I'm sorry mom and dad  ... I made this decision out of emotion and my mind was drawn to this so I drank it. But I agree with this. I became old Kate again. I can live a normal life again. Are you with me forever???”

Her father said, “Kate why did you take this decision without telling us baby? We know there's a lot going on in your life. But the real use of your strength was going to be now, then why did you choose this path?

Kate look at them, “I don't know ... I was drawn to that thing. My mind was saying. I should drink it.”

Her mother said, “This sounds a little weird.”

Her father comfort his daughter, “nothing will happen Kate we are with you. You take a rest.  We will not leave you.”

Kate's parents were sitting next to her for a while. They were looking at her and discussing.

Her mom said, “I’ve been away from her for so many years. I'm so sorry about that.”

Her father told her, “We were not close  ... but Lucy has taken very good care of her. She is really grateful to us.”

Her mother nodded, “that’s right... but today I remember the moment when Kate was going to be born. If we hadn't met that vampire that day, Kate wouldn't be in this world today.”

Kate asked them, “What happened at that time mom and dad ..?”

Her father told her, “At that time a vampire saved our lives. And that's when we realized that vampires still have this humanity.

Kate's mother remember of that time....

21 years ago,

Far away, in such a secluded forest, in the pitch darkness of the night, lightning began to thunder in the sky. It was raining with the wind. War breaks out between hunters and vampires.

Everyone was up against each other. One by one the vampires were being killed. Kate's parents were also in it. They were killing vampires one by one. They had learned to use his strength properly. Every vampire that came in front was ending. He was accompanied by several hunters. Only their voice was heard everywhere. But suddenly some of the vampires began to overwhelm the hunters. They started killing hunters because they had a kind of shield. Later, the number of hunters began to decrease. Everyone was dying one by one. Only Kate's mother and father were left, they were in a very injured condition. They were captured by vampires. In it came a vampire who was the leader of a gang of vampires come forward...

She directly asked Kate's father, "Why? Why did you kill these vampires here?"

Kate's father told her, “All the vampires here have killed so many innocent people. In it, they killed several children.”

Just then a vampire came forward and spoke. Kill them. These are our enemies. All the vampires agreed with him. It was decided ... then they would be killed.

The vampire approached her and about to attack Kate's mother when she heard the sound of pounding of heart. She stepped back. Everyone started looking at her questioningly.

She ordered everyone not to touch her. And with that she told everyone to get out of there. Hearing her order, everyone left.

Kate's parents in injured condition started looking up at her. That vampire came in front of them. She approached Kate's mother and said, "There's another soul inside you. I can't kill you. Even though I'm a vampire, I'm a woman first. Get out of here. And give the soul in you a better future. Don't pull her in this. “

Kate's mother look at her, “I didn't know that. But you are very grateful to me. I didn't know vampires were like you.”

That Vampire told her, “You go from here now. I can't save you extra time anymore.”

This was her last sentence ... and Kate's parents went away from there... After that Kate was born and her parents decided to keep her with Lucy. They knew it at the time. Where there was cruelty and lust for blood in vampires, there was still humanity hidden somewhere in vampires.
