Chapter 34: Chapter 34

####PAST WHICH SATVI ACTUALLY FORGOT AFTER THE INCIDENT THAT HAPPENED BECAUSE OF WHICH SHE WAS IN COMA FOR ONE MONTH####

*Satvi Pov*

“Where are we going?” I asked him getting in his car and saw that Karthik is closing the door.

“Somewhere to celebrate as your Dad accepted for our marriage today.” He replied, smiling and I smiled back but felt something is missing.

“I don’t know why he accepted it so soon. I mean he doesn’t know you right, then how did he.” I said my doubts out loud.

“Maybe he thought we were great together.” Rohan said, taking out his mobile hearing a call.

“He stopped taking any decision in our life after Mom died, but this is too much. He gave freedom to two of us, and I can understand part of it, but not all this.” I mumbled sighing.

“Don’t think much about that, Swetha.” He said giving me a small smile and lifted his phone.

“Oh ok! I will see what I can do.” He said hanging up.

“What happened?” I asked him frowning.

“I have some important meeting this evening I guess.” He replied apologetically.

“Hey! What is there to feel guilty? We will go some other time.” I said, smiling and opened the door.

“But don’t forget to have some lunch though.” I added, and he nodded smiling.

“I love you!” he mumbled, and I mumbled back before closing the door.

I waved at him until the car was no longer in sight and walked inside the gate not wanting to look at those both. I was just about to knock on the door, but stopped hearing their words.

“What does that mean, Uncle? How can you accept him just like that? He can be bad for Satvi.” I heard Karthik’s confused voice.

“Try to keep some time for the wedding, Dad. Until then, we can know what is his actual aim for this marriage.” I heard a surprisingly Leela’s voice.

“What do you both think that I am really happy for getting any of my daughters married in a hurry? I accepted to your fast wedding even after knowing that Satvi is somewhere out there hurting just because we thought she would come back home after hearing about the wedding.” Dad said, and my eyes widened hearing his words.

“And she did return, Dad! Otherwise, she would have stayed at Uncle’s place itself. I accepted to get married this soon is also for that reason most of the time. I am not having fun with the thought that I am already married.” Leela defended herself from Dad’s accusations.

“I know that! But I wish you continued your studies.” Dad said and this point I am supporting him.

“Dad! Are you serious right now? First of all, I am not good at academics, and I was never. So you have to pay so many fees, which are very bad when we are at present in financial crisis.” Leela said, and I stumbled back hearing her words.

“Then how can I make you guys' burden increase by studying when I know it will not do any good for my career at all.” She added, and I shook my head in complete shock.

“We don’t know him, Uncle.” Karthik mumbled.

“I know him!” Dad suddenly said, and I was like ‘What?’

“My brother immediately called me and informed about how her new friend just dragged her away when he thought her family was treating her badly. He even said how happy Satvi was when that guy visited her. Leave his words, but don’t you two too think how happy she is after she returned. I was waiting for her to tell me about him, but I didn’t think she would tell me at this point, though.” Dad explained, and I can totally see that I am blind to my surroundings.

“And by this marriage, she may not see you both everyday and get hurt.” He added, and I want to scratch my head right now.

“If you think our presence will hurt her, then we will not stay here.” Leela said and I heard a chair moving sound, and I immediately moved a little and leaned on the wall.

“Where will you both go then? I am already feeling guilty that Karthik sold his house to clear half of the money problems. This is the least I could do.” Dad’s words made me stun in my place.

“I did it because I can’t let you sell this house when this is very important for you all and mainly Satvi.” Karthik said like it is not a big deal.

God! Why do I always know nothing about whatever that is happening around me? I thought covering my face and hid my sobs.

“The situation may get worse, even though we all are working out the problem and if Satvi gets to know about this then, she will do everything in her hands and even waste her life. So it is better that she gets married, and he is really a good person as much as I get to know him from outside.” Dad concluded.

“You are correct, Dad! She took care of us and now, it is our turn. Maybe my guilt will reduce a little.” Leela mumbled and then I understood that she told Karthik and Dad everything.

I walked outside the gate not able to hear anything and rushed to the nearest park and settled on a bench. I started taking deep breaths to stop the tears and to stop the guiltiness.

They all love me! Maybe even more than me and I thought that they kind of don’t and even suffered them with my doings. I am such a bad daughter who didn’t even see what her father is going through.

I heard my phone ringing and lifted it without looking at the ID and mumbled “Hello?”

“Swetha! What happened? Why are you crying?” I heard a worried voice.

“Nothing! I just ate spicy food.” I mumbled brushing my tears away and tried to stop the sobs.

“Where are you?” he asked in a serious tone.

“I am fine!” I replied, shaking my head.

“Swetha! If you don’t tell me where are you, then I will search the whole city.” He threatened and then I told him not wanting him to get stressed.

“Swetha! What happened?” he asked, sitting beside me, and I threw myself into his arms and cried.

I calmly told him everything, and he listened without interrupting me brushing my hair. After a few minutes, he calmly said, “Looks like I gave a good impression near your Uncle’s family.”

I chuckled a little hearing his words and nodded tightening my grip on him. I slowly released myself from his hold and glanced at his face.

“I just wallowed in my self-pity all this time while there are those many problems at home. Leela stopped her studies to not be a burden and Karthik actually sold his house. And Dad is squeezed between both of us. When did I become such a bad person?” I asked him shaking my head.

“Don’t you dare to call my Swetha a bad person. And you didn’t do a crime here. You just didn’t know about that and do you know what I think?” he asked, and I shook my head frowning.

“If you know about all the problems, then you would have gone to lengths to clear them not caring for anything.” He said with such confidence that I felt scared thinking I may not live up to his expectations in the future.

“Now we both are going inside your house, and I will look into the problem.” He added and I immediately shook my head in negative.

“You can’t help us, Rohan. This is like asking for too much and even my dad will not accept.” I said getting up.

“For you, I will do everything possible, Swetha. Like anything and you can’t even guess what may include in that list. So, let me handle all this and just be quite beside me if you trust me.” He said, and I nodded slowly and we both started walking towards my house.

“Satvi! Are you ok?” Dad said, opening the door, and I saw that Karthik and Leela are sitting on the couch.

I just nodded, and we both sat opposite to them while those three looked at both of us confused. Rohan cleared his throat and said, “I want to look at the company's problem.”

“How did... you know about this?” Dad asked him, and I glanced at him.

“You guys do not have to worry about the problem. I am sure there is some way, and I will have a special team to look into it.” He said not telling Dad how.

“We can take good care of the problem. We don’t need an outsider pity help.” Karthik said, and Leela glared at him.

“It is not simply that. We can’t take this favor and get the wrong words from people like we are using you.” Dad said with a calm tone.

“Ok! Then how about this. Write the company in my name by which it will not be a favor.” Rohan offered.

“At present my company is not worth a single rupee and there are losses on top of that.” Dad said shaking his head.

“How about this house?” he suddenly asked, and I looked at him with my eyes wide open.

“Don’t worry! I will not cheat you guys. I will not do anything, which may hurt my fiancé.” He added, and I frowned.

“You need not to do this.” Karthisk said with normal tone.

“I want to! I want to do this and take away the worry from her and the people she loves.” He said, and I felt like hugging him right now.

“Ok! But this will be professional, and you will make us pay the extra expenses in the end.” Dad finally accepted and Rohan accepted his condition, but I doubt that.

“The transfer will happen this week itself. And then we can have a wedding with no problems.” Rohan said getting up.

“I am forever debt to you.” I mumbled when we stood near his car.

“Don’t be! I am thinking this place will be good for some book store.” He said, gesturing at the house, and I slapped his shoulder making him chuckle.

“I love you!” I said, smiling at him, and he kissed me before driving away.

“I love you guys!” I said walking inside the house with a big smile and those three immediately hugged me.

“I am sorry!” Leela mumbled, and I shook my head.

“Do all the preparations for my wedding, and then I will forgive you.” I said dragging her towards my room.

“Do you want to study now?” I asked her, and she groaned hearing those words.

“Please Satvi! I already have a receptionist job there, and I will be happy. The studies are really not for me.” She replied, and I sighed accepting her words.

*Rohan Pov*

“You can stop looking at me now.” Swetha mumbled smiling politely at our guests.

“I am looking at my wife. Do you have a problem?” I asked her smiling.

“Everyone here knows i 'm your wife. Now be a good husband and greet them properly.” She replied, turning my face towards the guests.

“Will you not ask where we are going after this reception?” I asked her waiting for her nagging to know about the surprise, but she didn’t even ask for one time.

“Nope!” she replied, shaking her head smiling.

“Ask me at least once, Swetha.” I said, holding her hand and kind of pleading too.

“Ok! Where are we going?” she asked, glancing at me.

“That is surprise!” I replied and sighed in relief.

“Happy?” she asked, stopping her laughs, and I nodded.

“Your sister did everything really well.” I said looking around.

“And your Mother still doesn’t like me and thinks me as a gold digger.” She said with a frown.

“Don’t mind her!” I said, squeezing her hand, and she slowly nodded.

“You know you did a right thing not removing all the employees from Dad’s company. Otherwise, Karthik and Leela wouldn’t have got any jobs.” She said glancing at her family.

“I took your Dad’s company to help and not overtake, darling.” I said, pulling her to me when our photos are being taken.

“Does your brother drink too much?” She asked worriedly when we saw him stumbling here and there.

“I actually don’t know him at all.” I replied honestly.

“You should need to know him. He is your brother.” She said and I nodded, taking her outside the hotel after all the guests left, and she talked to her family for some time while I talked to my assistant not to disturb me for silly things for a few days until I call her.

“So, where are we going?” she finally asked when we sat in the car.

“Where else!” I mumbled smiling at her.

“Kolkata?” she guessed, but I can see her surety.

“You know me so well.” I said, pulling her to me pressing my lips.

“As if you don’t!” she said, smiling shaking her head.
