####PAST WHICH SATVI ACTUALLY FORGOT AFTER THE INCIDENT THAT HAPPENED BECAUSE OF WHICH SHE WAS IN COMA FOR ONE MONTH####

*Rohan Pov*

“Sir!” I heard an impatient voice making me move my gaze away from the mobile which should have got the message by now like from the past one month.

“Yes?” I asked my assistant frowning, but again stole a glance at the mobile.

“You have a meeting to attend, Sir.” She replied smiling at me.

“Ok!” I mumbled before looking at the mobile.

I sighed, getting up and decided to finish the meeting, but stopped when I heard a sound from my mobile. I smiled at it and calmly said, “Wait outside for five minutes.”

‘Good morning, Mr.Choksi!’ I mumbled reading her message and shook my head.

‘Good morning, Swetha.’ I typed back and sent it.

‘That is a fast reply. Don’t you have any work today, Mr.Choksi?’ she immediately replied.

‘There is lots of work, but I am not in the work mood. What about you?’ I asked her and waited for the reply.

After she called me informing about her new number, I sent a morning greeting the very next day after contemplating for a few hours.

I am not even feeling any anger when she is messaging me calling me as ‘Mr.Choksi!’. I don’t know why. When she called me by that name, I kind of got the anger out of nowhere, but I know I can’t show that to her and make her scared about me.

‘I too have some important work, and it is really special as well. So I am very happy to do this. I need to finish the decorations, and all before that guy comes here.’ Reading her message, I frowned trying to understand what is she even saying.

‘Guy? For what?’ I immediately messaged her, to which she too replied within seconds saying ‘For marriage proposal!’

I stood up from my chair reading it and glanced at her bag, which consists of even her things along with some birthday gift for some ‘Karthik guy’. Is he the one? I thought before moving towards them.

I took them in my hands and walked outside my cabin to see my assistant gossiping about someone to the other employees. I would have scolded her, but now these are not at all the essential things.

“Cancel all my meetings for today. I will be out of the station.” I said making her jump.

“Shall I come with you, Sir?” She asked smiling at me.

“No! This is personal.” I replied before walking away from there and got inside my car.

“To home?” Driver asked, and I glanced at her purse not knowing what to say.

“Last month, you have dropped one madam in a village right? Take me there.” I replied, and he nodded.

My hands are fidgeting to open the present and see what she gifted that guy, but I know that is not the right thing to do. Is she really going to meet some proposal today?

I don’t know what was I doing this entire month messaging her. We never talked and actually have only been greeting in the morning and at night. Those were completely enough for me, but now I understand that I should have done some more things.

I even hid the information that I got her things thinking she will stop this messaging and will ask for them. What should I say after meeting her and also for which I will not look like a fool?

*Satvi Pov*

I tapped my phone and then moved it here and there believing there is some problem with the signal because of which I am not getting his reply.

Normally, he would have chatted for at least five minutes before we stop and continue our daily works, but today he is not replying at all to my last message. He must be busy or there is no signal here.

“What happened, Di? Is there no message from him today?” Vani asked entering the kitchen.

“Nothing like that.” I mumbled placing my phone aside.

“You like him?” She asked, smiling a little, and I know I can say anything to her as I already told her what happened with karthik.

“It will be wrong to like someone else when we just recently have stopped liking someone right?” I asked her back.

“It will be wrong when you love one person, but started liking another one. You never loved Karthik. You like him and maybe would have fallen for him. So it is not wrong.” She replied, and I smiled.

“Someone knows so much about liking.” I said teasing her.

“He was decided for me from the time I was a kid as he is my parent’s best friend’s son, Di. I never thought about another guy and will never. I love him, and I will do everything for him.” She said, and I hugged her wishing all the happiness in this world.

“Now, let me make some delicious food to trap him and his parents, and you help me.” She said taking out the utensils.

“His parents already love you, and I am sure he too does.” I said smiling at her and helped her like she asked.

“Oh god! He will be here within minutes. I need to go and get ready.” She said running around the kitchen while I am drinking the kheer kind of tasting it but in large amounts. She makes it in an amazing way and I just love it.

“Just go and get ready.” I said, smiling at her.

“Ok!” she mumbled putting the napkin and some spatula in my hands before rushing outside the kitchen.

At the same time, I heard the gate sound, and I rushed outside to see the guy for whom my cousin is mad about, but stopped in my tracks seeing the person in front of me and even the glass fell from my hands.

Because of which the contents fell on my leg burning me a little. I screamed a more than a little hearing, which he turned towards me looking away from his surroundings.

Even my Aunt along with Uncle came outside hearing my scream. After a few seconds, Vani rushed outside while I tried to stop my tears either from burning or the stupid fate.

“How many times do I just have to tell you that you should be careful? You don’t hear anyone’s words at all.” Aunt started scolding me which she always does when she gets scared or nervous.

“Why do you have to choose this day out of all day to do this, Di?” Vani groaned with irritation, and I would have smiled but the tears just stopped it.

They both really in bundles of nerves at present and I wish to laugh at them. I sighed before started cleaning it feeling the heat in my hand too due to that.

“Great! Are you deaf?” Aunt shouted again.

“Don’t scold her!” Uncle said, kneeling beside me.

“You don’t say anything in this. I can say anything to her.” Aunt said while uncle looked down to take the class away.

“Stop it!” we heard a new voice shouting hearing, which we all stopped our words and moments too.

“Let’s go!” Mr.Choksi said holding my hand pulling me up from the floor and started dragging me outside the house.

When I saw his car a little away from the house, I came out of my shock and said, “Mr.Choksi!”

“Don’t say anything! You will not stay with those mean people anymore.” He said, turning to look at me.

“Mean?” I mumbled completely confused.

“Is this some modern Cindrella generation or what? How are you bearing that treatment? You will come with me and also stay with me.” He ordered before opening his car door.

“Why?” I asked him frowning.

“Because I like you.” He replied in a simple tone, and I smiled hearing that.

Before I could say anything, I remembered who is he and why was he here actually in the first place. I shook my head and removed my hand from his hold before mumbling “I know how it feels when someone we like actually likes someone else. I don’t want to be that someone else in my cousin’s life. She is really a good girl.”

“What?” he asked and I just shook my head before turning around and just ran to my house.

“Di! Are you fine?” Vani asked, looking at my leg and made me sit on the chair which she brought outside.

“Let me apply this and then you will not feel the burn.” Aunt said applying the curd kneeling near me.

“Leave it, Aunty! We have some works to do.” I said as he is early than the time we thought he would come.

“His mother just called and said that he had extra classes and some exams, so he will not come today.” Vani said looking away.

“What?” I asked her shocked not understanding what she is even saying.

“Leave it! But tell me who is that guy? He looked at the three of us like we are some devils who are going to eat you or something.” She said changing the topic.

“Is he not your guy?” I asked her frowning.

“What? My guy is not all that old. He is still in the college for post graduation.” She replied and I immediately stood up.

“I will be back!” I said, rushing outside before they could stop me and saw that he is leaning on the car with his eyes closed.

“I like you too, prince charming.” I said completely out of breath when I reached near him.

“Prince charming?” he asked opening his eyes, but didn’t give a thought to my before words.

“You thought my Aunt and cousin are actually evil, and this is some Cindrella concept. And you just dragged me away from them to protect me from that evil like the prince for a Cindrella. So you are that.” I explained and stared at his face.

“So they are evil?” he asked, and I sighed hearing his questions.

“No! They are the kindest people you have never seen on this earth. Good bye!” I mumbled, turning away to leave him alone with his questions.

But I stopped when I felt his hand on my wrist, and he slowly turned me around, but I didn’t glance at his face. I looked around hoping that no one is looking at us otherwise my family, here will get the words.

“Then what about the marriage proposal?” he asked, and I controlled my anger hearing his question.

“For my cousin!” I replied, hoping that the questions will end right now.

“Then what about, Karthik?” he asked and this time I got stunned in my spot.

“I used to like him, but now he is my sister’s fiancé.” I replied after a few minutes.

“I came here to return your things.” He said and my heart just fell hearing his words.

So he is not going to say those words again, and I have to forget that all this has ever happened. Why is this always happening to me? I thought looking up.

“Thanks!” I mumbled taking my things and then glanced at his face to see him staring back at me curiously.

“So, you like me?” he asked, and I narrowed my eyes but didn’t say anything.

“I am glad you do like me and there is not going to be some marriage proposal. Because I would have kidnapped you and locked you down in my house.” He added, and I smiled shaking my head.

“Yes! I like you. I don’t know why, but I really do.” I said and asked him to come inside the house.

“He kind of saved me.” That’s what I said when we walked inside, and that’s all they need before showering him with lots of food and words.

“So, you are Mr.Choksi?” Vani asked him and grinned at me.

“Are you fine?” I asked, remembering her sad look.

“I am ok! That guy needs to come here in the end right?” she said, and I nodded.

We continued to talk, but uncle stepped outside the room hearing the phone ringing and returned after a few minutes with a smile on his face.

“Why didn’t you tell us, Dear?” Uncle asked, and I frowned at him.

“Karthik and your sister are going to get married this month, and the venue is in Lucknow itself.” He replied to his question, and I stilled in my place along with Vani.

“That’s great! Looks like my plan is reversed.” Aunt said, and I gave her a small smile.

“We will just go outside and show him the village.” Vani said, getting up and dragged him along with me.

“Are you fine, Di?” She asked, and I smiled at her.

“Yeah! This was meant to happen, right?” I asked her.

“Right! Now I will make myself disappear while you both enjoy this time.” She said walking away.

“What actually happened?” He calmly asked after a few minutes, and I told him everything like everything.

“That’s really bad!” he mumbled.

“Yeah, I am a fool! And now I need to look after the preparations along with the wedding rituals.” I said sighing.

“I can be beside you and show them that you are not alone.” He offered making me smile at him before holding his hand.

“That is really sweet of you, but I will be all right. Now let me show you my favorite places here.” I said and showed him everything.

“You are looking great in this attire.” He said, gesturing at my Half-Sari.

“I don’t have my clothes, so I wore Vani’s but still in the village, I like to wear these only.” I said, and he nodded smiling.

“Ok! I will take my leave. I have to return.” He said when we walked towards my house.

“I don’t know what to say.” I mumbled standing near his car.

I can’t say that ‘Thanks for coming here’ and I definitely can’t say ‘Thanks for liking me’. I never had this much difficulty in saying anything before to anyone.

“Say that you like me again.” He mumbled.

“I like you again.” I mumbled, making him chuckle.

“We will start talking other than just messaging each other.” He said, and I nodded when he opened the door.

Before sitting inside, he hugged me and the car just drove away out of my sight, but I still stood there watching that.

He likes me too! I shrieked inside and rushed into my house but stopped remembering that I didn’t tell him about my name. God! I am the stupidest of the stupidest.
