Hearing Celeste's words both Liam and Shawn looked towards her direction. Liam had a very cold expression on his face as he moved from where he was previously standing, on the other hand Shawn looked at Celeste with questioning eyes.

"Uhmm I had gone out, so I thought of bringing dinner for us." Shawn said in a nervous tone while smiling awkwardly.

Hearing the word 'us' Liam clenched his hands in a fist as he glared at the floor angrily.

"Oh that's so nice of you. Please come in. I was about to cook dinner." Celeste said with a smile while inviting Shawn in making Liam really angry. Liam turned around and threw Celeste an angry glare which Celeste didn’t even notice.

"Uhmm maybe some other day as you already have a guest. Just keep these things." Shawn said in a gentle voice while handling Celeste the packets of foods. Celeste took them with a smile.

"Liam, this is Shawn. A very good friend of mine and Shawn, this is Liam." Celeste said as she ironically introduced them both.

Did she just introduce her ex-boyfriend to her ex husband?

Oh dear Lord!

Shawn gave Liam a polite smile while Liam just gave a curt nod. Celeste smiled between them awkwardly. Celeste remembered even though Liam knew Shawn but Shawn didn’t know who Liam was as Celeste didn’t bother to tell him about Liam.

"It's nice to meet you Liam. Cel, I will take my leave now." Shawn said and gave Celeste a lingering look.

"See you later, Shawn." Celeste bade him goodbye and closed the door.

"You guys seemed to be really close. He even got a nickname for you." Liam said tauntingly, making Celeste look at him with raised brows.

"Yes. He was once my best friend and we know each other from our childhood." Celeste said while taking the food with her to the kitchen. Liam followed her behind and then entered the kitchen with her. He also started to help her with the food.

"Why should we eat his food? We could just cook something or order from outside." Liam said while glaring at the food Shawn brought for them. Hearing his childish words Celeste turned around and scowled at him.

"What's wrong with you? He's my friend."

"Well, not mine. He's also your ex boyfriend and I don't like him." Liam said, with an annoyed expression. Celeste chucked.

"You are also my ex husband." Celeste said while serving the food onto their plates. Fortunate for her, she didn’t turn to look at Liam's expression which turned really sad. Liam didn’t know why but her words pained his heart and made him feel suffocated.

Ex husband?

Just a year ago he was her husband.

But now her ex husband and it was all his fault. He had made that damn contract and it was him who had ended-

Liam took a deep breath to calm himself down and get rid of those heavy emotions and memories. Instead he slowly followed Celeste who took the food near the dining table.

It was almost 12 in the night. The whole city was deadly calm. Celeste laid on her bed with her eyes closed as those painful memories turned into a nightmare and started haunting her. She tried to open her eyes and call for help but she couldn’t as she felt two large hands were holding her body and face making it impossible for her to turn around. She cried and begged for the monster to let her go and leave her alone but they didn’t listen to her as she kept begging and screaming for mercy.

"Celeste! Celeste! What happened? Open your eyes. See I'm here!" Someone whispered while holding her close and shaking her up from the nightmare. Celeste opened her eyes and found Liam looking at her worriedly. She instantly got up and threw herself in his arms while sobbing hysterically. Liam, who was caught unprepared, got his sense back and slowly wrapped his arms around her, slowly comforting her by rubbing her back.

"Shhh! Love! Don't cry. I'm here. It was just a bad dream." Liam comforted her while kissing her head continuously.

"Please don't leave me. Please, Liam. Not again." Celeste said while still sobbing.

"Shh! I'm not going to leave you ever again. Stop crying. I'm here. I will be here." Liam whispered while pulling her from his chest and looking straight to her eyes. Celeste tried to calm herself down as Liam wiped her tears and kissed her forehead. Celeste instantly closed her eyes feeling the sensation of his lips.

"Sleep." Liam said while tugging her in the bed.

"Liam?" Celeste called out softly.

"Hmm?"

"Stay here with me." Celeste whispered softly while moving away from where she was previously laying down. Liam looked at her for a moment.

"Are you sure?" He asked. Celeste nodded her head in yes as Liam smiled at her before getting on the bed beside her.

"Sleep Celeste." He said while turning off the lights.He was about to turn around when Celeste also turned around making their faces collide with each other. Liam looked at her beautiful face under the dim light as the both stared at each other with longing gazes like a pair of long lost lovers.

Celeste didn’t know what got into her as she leaned forward and placed her cold lips on his warm ones, making him completely freeze.

She felt like home! He was finally at home….

Liam instantly wrapped his arms around her and pulled her closer as she moved her lips around his clumsily. Liam placed her under him while hovering over her and taking full control of her body. He started to kiss her hungrily yet passionately while his hands roamed on her body. Celeste also wrapped her arms around him and pulled him closer to her, feeling his warmth which she had missed.

Liam slowly moved his lips from her lips to her neck and started to place soft kisses here and there. He nibbled her skin while his hands slowly removed her tee shirt in one go.

"Do you want me to stop?" Liam asked, still in this vulnerable state. His eyes were filled with love and passion as she breathed heavily while kissing her soft white chest.

"No!" Celeste simply said while one hand went his hair and the other on his chest as she felt his firm muscles under her fingers.

"Remember, there's no going back, anymore." Liam stated firmly as he divided his mouth in one of her breasts. He started suck on it as if he was sucking honey out of it.

"Uhmm!!" Celeste let out a loud moan as Liam's finger touched her wet and sensitive part after he had successfully removed the last piece of clothing from her body.

Liam placed a soft kiss on her belly button before burying his face in her soft pink flower petals. He played his magic down there with his tongue, making Celeste squirm under him before she felt her earth-shattering pleasure. Celeste didn’t even notice when he had removed his pants as she was busy panting because of her mind blowing orgasm.

She felt the familiar Sensation of being filled when she finally entered his hot rod in her. She let out a moan as he started to move in and out her with a steady pace making her feel a kind kind of sweet sour pain.

Slowly Liam again hovered over her and placed his lips on her while still moving in and out her.

"You feel like home, Celeste. I'm finally at home." He whispered while slowly kissing her lips. All of a sudden a few drops of tears left from the corner of Celeste's eyes as she slowly closed her eyes. In a few moments they both hit their most pleasurable moment as Liam emptied himself in her before collapsing beside her. They both were breathing heavily with eyes closed. Then Liam slowly turned around and pulled Celeste on his chest and wrapped his arms around her.

"I have missed you, you know!" He whispered, kissing her forehead gently and making his hold on her tighter. Celeste didn’t say anything as she simply closed her eyes and let herself feel his warmth before the reality came back.

The next day Celeste slowly opened her eyes and blinked a few times to get rid of the sleepiness.

"Good Morning!" Liam's deep and husky morning voice made her turn around instantly. She looked at his handsome face for a few moments. Smokey grey eyes, beautiful fair complexion, messy jet black hair, a perfect nose, high cheekbones with a sharp jaw. His every feature looked perfect to her eyes as if God had taken His sweet time to create him. His deep smokey grey eyes were completely focused on her with a smile. After a while, Celeste smiled back and snuggled into his chest before she greeted him back.

"Good morning." She whispered in her usual sweet voice which made Liam's heart feel warm. He slowly wrapped his arms around her and pulled her more closer to him before placing a soft kiss on her head.

"Time to get up." Liam whispered huskily while stroking her hair.

"Uhmm!" Celeste said with her eyes closed.

"Let's go and have a shower together." Liam whispered in Celeste's ear and before Celeste could react he got up and picked her up in his arms in bridal style before making his way towards the washroom.

"Liam!!" Celeste let out a surprised squeal while wrapping her arms around his neck.

"What?" Liam asked with a smirk making Celeste glare at him. He just chuckled at her cute expression before placing a quick kiss on her lips as they made their way inside the washroom.

Liam was playing with Archie and Celeste was making breakfast for them when the doorbell rang. Liam looked up and lazily got up to open the door. His happy mood instantly turned sour when he found his least favourite person standing in front him.

"Uhh hi. Is Cel home?I came here to pick Archie for a walk." Shawn said while trying to look for Celeste. Liam looked at him with an annoyed expression and was about to say no when Celeste came from the kitchen.

"Good morning, Shawn. Please come in and have breakfast with us. Then you could take Archie with you." Celeste said with a smile while inviting Shawn in. Liam glared at Celeste and clenched his fist angrily before storming inside. Celeste looked at his back with a confused expression before turning towards Shawn.Shawn smiled at her awkwardly.

"That won't be needed. I will just take Archie with me." Shawn said with a smile. He was sure Liam didn’t like his present here. Also he didn’t know Celeste had a boyfriend already. She didn’t tell him before and it made him really sad. To be honest he still loved Celeste and hoped they could get back together again. But it wasn’t possible anymore as she already had someone else in her heart. Shawn smiled sadly as he couldn’t do anything about this.

"No no. Please come in. I insist." Celeste said while pulling Shawn's arm to get him inside. Shawn couldn’t refuse her as he chuckled and entered her apartment. Liam who was already seated on the dining table looked at them and felt his anger bubbled up making the vein of his neck pop up. He tried to take deep breaths to control his anger and jealousy seeing Celeste being so friendly with that scumbag. He wanted to rip his arms apart which was touched by his Celeste but he couldn’t. He just sat there and swallowed his own anger and jealousy.

Shawn also took a seat on the dining table opposite to Liam. That dining table was for four people and was really small. Celeste placed a few dishes on the table and they all started to eat silently. The awkwardness was still present.

"How is Gilbert? I haven’t heard of him for a few days. Is he doing alright?" Celeste asked about Shawn's father who is a cancer patient and is admitted to Shawn's hospital.

"Dad is fine. He misses you very much." Shawn answered while eating his breakfast. Celeste heaved a sigh.

"I am thinking of visiting him this afternoon." Celeste said while looking at Shawn with a smile. Shawn smiled back.

"Alright. I will accompany you then. I will come by 4 in the afternoon to pick you up." Shawn proposed and Celeste nodded. Suddenly they heard a loud noise. They turned towards the source of the noise and found Liam holding his glass down on the table which was the cause of the loud noise.

"When did you come back from The UK and when did you meet Celeste again?" Liam asked in his commanding voice, looking directly at Shawn. Shawn looked at him perplexed.

"Uhmm more than a year ago and I met Cel probably 8 months ago." Shawn said while trying to think of the exact date.

"That's right." Celeste said with a nod.

"How did you meet Celeste?" Liam again asked, looking directly at Shawn. His face was blank.

"At the hospital when she was taking the thera-" Shawn couldn’t finish the sentence as Celeste cut in between.

"I was there with a friend." Celeste said hurriedly, making both Liam and Shawn look at her with a perplexed expression. Celeste sighed in relief after she successfully stopped Shawn from revealing her secret. He just couldn’t let Liam know about all this. He didn’t need to know.

"I'm done. I think we are getting late for our office. Shawn please take Archie with you and after the walk leave him to Bobby's." Celeste said while taking the dishes with her. Liam sat there for a while as he was sure Celeste didn’t let Shawn tell him about something regarding her. She was definitely hiding something. But what could it be? At that moment he didn’t know.

"Ok. I will take my leave now. Thanks for the breakfast Celeste. See you guys later." Shawn said in a gentle voice before picking Archie up and leaving Celeste's apartment in confusion. Why did Celeste lie to her boyfriend? He didn’t understand.

"I will just pick my things up before we go." Celeste said to Liam and moved to her room to get her things. Liam didn’t say anything as he just gave her a small nod. His mind was already somewhere else.

What has happened in the past one year apart from their divorce and her Grandma's death? He needed to find out soon.
