"Does it sting,"he asked as he rubbed the ointment on my hand which made me hiss in pain.

"No,"I whispered softly which made him look up at me.

He smiled as he brought his face closer to mine.Pulling my hair behind my ear he came even closer where we were some inches away.

All went still.

I couldn't see anything around us except him.

I felt like time had stopped.

Am I in a fairytale?

He moved even closer where his lips were just a few inches away from mine.

I couldn't move.

I didn't know why but my body stayed still.

I closed my eyes as he moved even closer when he was about to kiss but abruptly we barged away at the bang of the door.

Feeling awkward I clutched my hand trying not to hurt my wound and Jackie turned around and looked straight at the door.

"Why are you here?,"he questioned by looking at the doorway which made me curious to know who it was.

I lifted my head up to see who it was and it was none other than David.

Walking in he grabbed his phone from the shelf.

"I left my phone,"he uttered by looking at me curiously as I lowered my gaze.

I could feel my cheeks heat up when thinking of what happened earlier.

"You came all the way back to get your phone back,"Jackie asked frustrated.

"Obviously,because I could receive important calls as I strived hard to get my position I don't wanna lose it unlike you who is a young manager that got through his father,"

Without any thought I immediately looked at Jackie, his expression changed.

His face showed that he was angry.He just stared at David who was grinning at him.

And me here I don't even know why both are having some grudge against each other.

Standing up from his seat he glared at David and turned around to walk away but stopped when David continued.

"I'm sorry,not your father your uncle,"He uttered.

I stood up and held Jackie's hand which was fisted like a ball where his nerves were popped out.

"It's okay,"I whispered but he just walked away.

"Anna,"David called me and I stopped there taking a deep breath.

Without responding I ran behind Jackie to see if he was okay.I rushed upstairs to see Jackie, he was in the balcony so I walked further. standing by his side I placed my palm over his. Looking up at him I noticed that his expressions have not changed. I could see a clear sense of anger in his eyes where his eyes were glued to the outside view.

"Jackie,"I called softly.

But got no response,therefore I just remained quiet,stood next to him and looked at the view in front of us.
