Chapter 73: Chapter 73
Greg waited until Sophia was sound asleep to sit up slightly. He looked at her small, bent figure and raised his hand to caress her frail shoulders marked by their recent passion.
How he loves this girl.! When he came to see her tonight, he never imagined that she would make such a tempting request. But it was not to displease him. He liked her request so much he had been addicted to her, to her smell recently.
Her burning touch and the sensations that sex with her gives him.
He leaned down slightly and kissed her shoulders feeling her stir slightly before leaning back on his elbow to gaze at her in her sleep.
He started playing with her hair, wrapping it around his finger and finally, he saw her turn to rest her face against his chest. He sighed as he realized earlier that she would have liked to know what he looked like, even while they were doing it. She tried to get a distinct glimpse of his face despite his locks but he didn't allow her to do it.
Why is he doing this exactly? He could say that it is to protect her because if she remains unknown to his enemies, he could protect her more easily.
But his goal isn't to make Sophia the hidden Luna of the Soul Moons, no. He wants her to occupy her rightful place as queen by his side, but for that, she would have to be perfectly safe.
The tragedy that his mother suffered was a major trauma and an indelible mark in his life, he promised himself that he would never be like his father who had left his Luna as pasture to his enemies.
Although the circumstances are different because he loves his Luna which he knows was not the case with his father. He had discovered that his father had forced himself to be with the latter just because they had been designated predestined mates.
But his situation is not the same as his father's. He loves Sophia deeply and sincerely and what he wants above all is to live happily together and forever. He couldn't bear to lose her for something as cruel as not being able to protect her, or for any other reason for that matter.
But at the same time that he wants to protect her, he also knows that hiding his identity from her is not the best thing to do. That saddens him knowing that it must certainly weigh on her but she still manages not to complain about it.
He could tell the truth, that would be the best thing to do, she would be surprised then a little angry but afterward, she would forgive him. But it is not that he didn't trust her, not far from it. He just wants to be careful especially when he does not know everything about Sophia's past and what binds her to that jerk Jessy.
This one he holds back with his disparaging behavior. He's up to something and it's precisely because he comes from this cursed pack that he doesn't trust him.
It's as simple as that, all those who have a close or distant bond with the Shield of Rain are basic scoundrels.
The reason why even after taking the head of Soul Moon, he did not lift the hunt for Shield of Rain's members started by his father is that, for him, they deserve it for their deceit.
He sighed deciding not to spoil his mood by thinking of people who aren't worth it, especially after the incredible moment he just spent in Sophia's arms.
Even if his conscience and his love dictate him to reveal who he is to Sophia, he will not do it. Her safety is at stake and when it is involved, he doesn't care about anything else, even if it means being ruthless even toward the person he tends to protect so much.
He lay down on the bed, deciding to rest a little too. Tomorrow he's got work to do, it's not just the pack in his life, he's worked hard to become the business tycoon he is today, so he's not going to put his public life on hold just because of pack stories.
So sleep quickly came as he thought about the next few days hoping things would improve for the better. He's not a very patient person in life so if he sees that these people whoever they are are trying to upset the balance of his life, he will just make them see his bad side.
And he's not sure they would like to see it.
The next morning, I woke up noticing the empty place next to me. It made me slightly sad but soon a presence was felt in my room. Turning around, I found my alpha sitting with his back to me on the bed as he seemed elsewhere.
I smiled happily to find him in my wake-up as I slipped on the sheets, I wrapped my arms around his hips resting my head on his back.
" Good morning…"
I gasped seductively as he placed his hand over mine.
" Hello, did you sleep well?"
I smiled, putting my lips on his skin.
" Very well and you."
" The question does not even place itself."
I smiled as I took the time to admire his neck dropping down to his back. His body was in the touch, what it was in the sight, sculpted and sexy. I continued to admire deciding to look for a distinctive sign apart from the tattoo that I saw the day before. Any information would be useful to be able to make the connection or not between my lover and Greg, my first and great past love.
If I found out that they are the same person, it would be so much better. But if not, I'm afraid I could do something lewd between these two men I love that much. Because, even if I restrained myself, should I be able to not jump on Greg and ask him to fuck me hard, like how my alpha did last night.
