Chapter 58: Chapter 58

Greg couldn't hold back anymore and didn't want to at the same time. Beneath him, the woman he had waited for years and longed for ever since they met at the beach lay with a begging expression. He had to leave her two years ago because of his responsibilities, and also because at that time, she was completely unaware of the mystical world that was part of her. He absolutely didn't want to put her in danger so he had to reluctantly leave her. A tear in his heart at that time and a pain to know her so far from him.

He was not a kid and also knew that she was a teenager like the others and even if she had seemed madly in love with him on this beach, it was only, as they say in high school lingo, a romance of summer.

All teenagers dream of one day living such an experience, it was fashionable. Sophia will have lived it and certainly will have forgotten it once she returns to her daily life. She had told him that she was the beauty queen of her high school and he could only agree with this choice, she is beautiful, but that's also what hurt him a lot. A high school is a place full of castes and being the queen, the norm would have wanted her to have a king. Probably, as usual, the captain of the high school football team, a big brainless bunch of muscles with a pretty good appearance but no more. Basically just a point.

He had fretted, hoping that Sophia hadn't really fallen in love with one of her comrades to the point of wanting to give herself to him. He was so scared of it but yet couldn't do anything about it.

When things settled down in his life, just a little stabilized, he decided to find her trace. She lived with her mother, a packless lycanthrope. But unlike the renegades he despises more than anything, she seemed to be hiding from something or someone who wanted to hide her daughter at all costs.

He concluded that this woman had an affair with a human and had Sophia. But he didn't care that his future Luna had half-human blood in her, he loved her to death.

He had therefore taken the trouble to know the parameters of Sophia's life and to her greatest dismay, she was in a relationship with an American football captain. It was annoying but he couldn't just reappear in her life and tell her to leave this clueless maniac.

He had left her sometime earlier without explanation and imagined that she had certainly been shocked by it before turning the page.

Appearing would certainly bring back good memories but also bad ones, so he stayed in his corner and continued to observe her from afar.

Gradually, he discovered a rather complex facet of his Luna. She seemed to be cut off from everything even though she was completely immersed in it. She smiled and was charming with everyone but remained detached from them. She was everyone's friend but in reality, she considered no one really as her friend.

Not even that girl Stacy, not to mention her boyfriend Chad.

At first, she was her foil, Sophia was the most beautiful girl in high school but Stacy was also charming, which is why Sophia took her by her side from their early childhood to make her minion. She didn't hesitate to leave her all sorts of marks if it suited her interests, on this fact Sophia could be a real bitch but at the same time, he can understand that side of her. Her Alpha instinct would always push her to want to dominate those she thinks are weaker than her and would do whatever is necessary to ensure her place of leadership even in front of humans.

Because of this, even though deep down Chad wasn't really her type of man; Sophia loves delicate-faced men with refined muscles, not just big fat heaps of supplements and raw protein. Sophia must have struggled with him since he was the king of the school imposing his strength as a means of dominating others.

She knew very well that Stacy was madly in love with this boy and even though it was low, she forced herself into a relationship with him. If Stacy did, Chad being the king of high school, it was likely that Stacy would step up.

What interested Sophia in this story was not Chad the boy but Chad the captain of the American football team. Only that.

She held on, certainly convincing herself that she must love him, but the fact that she was always treating him like her minion was proof that she only saw him as a way to solidify her position as queen in high school. If another boy more remarkable than Chad had made an arrival, she wouldn't have hesitated to dump him for the new one.

Sophia is an alpha lycanthrope after all, it was no wonder she acted like that, mere humans would see it as obnoxious behavior but for him, it was completely normal.

The normal and legitimate reaction of an Alpha.

So he waited for Sophia to wake up to this lycanthrope side even if the circumstances were not the most appreciable, she lost her mother and he knows what it feels like in this situation, he would have liked to console her but he knew also that the time to find each other would soon come.

She came to him as he had expected and now he doesn't want to stop, they are two alphas whose pheromones are compatible, something extremely rare among lycanthropes. Couples are usually made of alphas and omegas, it's rare to find two alphas together and impossible to see two omega's together.

Always a cross, Sophia and he will therefore be the first in this case that the moon goddess will bless.

He looked at Sophia languidly beneath him and smiled.

He had waited so long for this moment, he intends to savor every moment of it.
