Chapter 36: Chapter 36
I took my place on the dining room table while Pamela sat down next to me.
She seemed so excited and at some point, her manners started to amuse me. She sounded like a nerd who had just made a friend. It was certainly that, all this seems foreign to me because I have always been the queen bee in college and high school. It was normal for me to always be surrounded by girls who wanted to be my "friends".
Rather be friends with my popularity.
But I didn't care, I was just taking advantage of my unbeatable status as a queen without rivals, even Stacy who was very pretty and the vice-captain of the cheerleaders didn't have as much weight as me.
So I can imagine for a girl who hasn't had my chance that having a friend with whom we share the same tastes must be a unique experience.
Yet she is beautiful, she should be very popular, does this mean that the lycanthrope society is not only based on appearance?
Ah yes, I have already seen it with Jessy. If this guy was in my high school, not just in our city, he'd be a hit, but just because he's an omega in Capital City, he gets humiliated all over the place.
I pity him.
My mind went back to the members of the table as Elsa scolded her son who wanted to avoid eating vegetables.
"My darling, Mother is right, you just can't decide to eat meat for breakfast, it's not balanced."
Rayan sulked like a child still refusing to eat when I felt the aura around Pamela change. She, who looked so candid, was now smiling coldly under Elsa's favorable gaze and Rayan's frightened gaze.
It surprised me, this big guy was afraid of this sweet and pleasant little woman. Ah, love can do wonders.
I imagine that I too, will be the same with my alpha. From what little I've seen, he's twice as tall as me which means seeing me pull up his suspenders will be comical.
I blushed a small smile that tickled my lips as, unbeknownst to me, Rayan took a picture of me and sent it to Greg.
He put a little caption on it and chuckled.
Greg had just finished his breakfast while washing the dishes when he felt his cell phone vibrate in his pocket.
He wiped his hands and picked it up, noting that he had just received a message from Rayan. It was a picture and he opened it to see his Luna with a sweet face, flushed cheeks, and a tender smile.
She's gorgeous, he's always known that anyway.
Her long Scarlet curly hair made her look like an angel, and her gorgeous purple eyes, her milky skin, frankly she is breathtakingly beautiful. Normal that she was a beauty queen in high school.
He was in his little cloud when he read the captioned sentence clutching his phone so tightly that he could have broken it.
"The bastard."
Indeed, Rayan had written "Look at the dream image that I'm going to wrestle with every morning thanks to you... Haha don't worry I'll send you pictures but you know the reality is quite different"
Greg put his cell phone away before grabbing a bottle of water and drinking. He understands what his cousin wants to do, he understands it and he even thanks him for his concern even if the way is annoying.
Any Alpha worth his salt would want his Luna by his side and share these kinds of moments with her, but he has to deprive himself of it to ensure the safety of the woman he loves.
Because of his past and also his enemies, waiting th time that Sophia can't defend herself, at least a little, he can't take her to his side.
She would be so vulnerable and the fact that she has to lead the pack with him means that they won't always be together, and in this conjecture, he is really afraid of losing her.
An alpha who loses his Luna and with whom he is in love is certain death.
Not like his dastardly father.
He sighed before deciding to go get ready as he had an important meeting in the shadow world.
It was certainly the weekend but he had to work hard, if not for the company, he had to manage the packs and the creatures under his territory.
It was boring but just the thought that he would see Sophia tonight gave him courage so soon.
For my part, I had finished eating and when I wanted to put away the dishes, Elsa stopped me.
"There are servants for that princess. Now come, let's start your training. Oh, I assure you, it will not be very physical for a start even if it will still be trying. Today you will learn how to synchronize with your wolf side and manipulate its essence. You have to know how to turn into a wolf at will, do you get it? Once that's done we can train seriously."
I nodded as I thought of the voice of my inner wolf that I haven't listened to for a long time.
" I'm ready Elsa ... I want to become strong."
"Wonderful state of mind princess. I know you have the potential, you are already very strong so I trust your abilities."
I nodded, I have to get strong, it's imperative.
We left the dining room while Rayan and Pamela were leaving, I don't know where.
A long day awaited us all in any case.
