Jessy looked me straight in the eye and the proximity between our two faces created a rather strange atmosphere between us. My face warmed up and I could see that Jessy also had flushed cheeks. My heart raced as I could clearly see Jessy approaching me.

Damn, my inner wolf keeps howling at me but I don't know what's going on but I'm inevitably drawn to this gorgeous boy in front of me. I closed my eyes, well I'm not doing anything wrong, kissing a guy I like was never a sin. I lifted my face before feeling my head jerk and a man's voice calling my name.

It was the same voice as the day before and I seem to have heard it before but I don't know where.

This voice hurts me so much in the face of the lament but it is also so reassuring that I want to fall asleep and listen to it indefinitely. What is this feeling?

** It's our Alpha, it's his voice. Please don't hurt him by kissing someone other than him**

I opened my eyes as I felt Jessy's warm breath on my lips and shifted moving away from him.

" I'm sorry Jessy for having worried you. I feel better now, so what's on the agenda today?"

Jessy turned his slightly sad face to me as he forced himself to smile at me. He scratched his neck before speaking to me.

'' Well not much, at nightfall Tom will just proceed as usual and your wolf will melt into you allowing you to change as you please."

I gulped before crawling back onto the bed to sit up.

" And it's... Painful?"

Jessy looked away before sighing.

"The first time is always painful but once the body has taken its marks everything will be fine."

I swallowed heavily before lowering my head.

" Hey you can do it I'm sure."

I smiled and finally we heard a knock on the door. It was Tom but he was not alone. Indeed there was a middle-aged woman at his side who looked at me with a kind smile and Tom made the introductions.

"She's Elsa, she's going to help me with the rite."

I bowed as Jessy looked at the woman coldly. This challenged me but I didn't have time to understand because the woman spoke.

" Hello princess Sophia, it is an unparalleled honor to meet you. I will do my best to live up to the task entrusted to me."

I looked up at the lady wondering why there was so much protocol. She is definitely too polite my word.

"What are you doing here? Tom, don't tell me you called someone from this pack to help you... There are so many lycans in this town, why specifically one of them?"

Tom frowned, giving Jessy a warning look as the lady, Elsa placed her hand in front of Tom before glaring fiercely at Jessy without removing her soft smile from her lips. She frightened me beyond reason. It looked like two people were in this same body, one controlling her eyes and the other her expression. How can you have such a sweet face and throw such a look?

I felt a heavy thump on the side and Jessy was on the ground choking. I crouched down to his level not understanding what was going on as I heard Elsa's voice echoing.

" Oh, despite the fact that she is still only a child, she supports my pheromones? Interesting."

Phéromones?

** Yes Sophia, Elsa wanted to send a message to Jessy about his lack of respect and it wasn't very tender I think. Elsa is an alpha and Jessy an omega, he must respect the hierarchy and not behave in an impertinent way**

" Jessy I think you have to go for a walk and not come back until tomorrow, your presence is not necessary in the ceremony anyway so you can go."

Tom spoke harshly as Jessy stood up removing my hand which was gripping his forearm.

" I'm fine Sophia, I'll go and you be careful and don't say anything dangerous if you know what I mean."

He whispered in my ear before stroking my cheek and leaving. He stopped for a moment in front of Elsa before crossing her while the latter sketched a mocking smile.

What could be going on between them? No, the question here would be, what is their past?

When Jessy came out I was deep in thought for a long time remembering Jessy's words when we first met. I had to keep my ties to the Shield of Rain a secret, already even Tom doesn't know about it so I guess in his way of hating Elsa, she must be a potential threat if I reveal my identity to her.

I frowned wondering what snake's nest I fell into realizing that the only person I can really trust is Jessy.

I blushed, taking a step back, what is she making advances to me?

My wolf sighed as Elsa giggled.

"So prudish and cute."

Then her expression hardened as she stared at me.

"I just hope that what I saw with this Omega will not happen again. It is imperative that you keep a dignified distance from other men than your alpha so please stop playing around this omega."

Her tone was cold and menacing so I gulped in fear.

"Your Alpha is the only man who should be at the center of your existence. Stop giving this man so much freedom."

Tom nodded as Elsa resumed her smile.
