Chapter 9: Chapter 9

Malvin exhaled tired, he lay down on the soft mattress in the hotel room he rented, he began to worry because Evelyn could not be contacted since yesterday.

Malvin was annoyed at his father because he felt he had been lied to, his father's goal of asking Malvin to Canada was actually to meet a girl, the daughter of his father's friend.

Malvin remembered when he was picked up at the airport by a woman who looked like a bodyguard. His upright body and cold expression and didn't talk much made the two of them just stay in the car, without any conversation.

when he arrived at the residence of his father's friend, only then did Malvin know that the woman who had picked him up was not a bodyguard but their daughter.

"Dena, mother has forbidden you to wear clothes like that, if you still look like that, then not a single man will be attracted to you." Said Mrs. Paula, wife of Mr. Robert, a friend of Mr. Gerald, Malvin's father.

While their daughter is named Denara, a tall, large woman who according to her mother never wears a dress like a feminine woman. She prefers to look simple with his jeans, t-shirts, and leather jackets or jeans jackets.

After talking for a while, Malvin knew that his goal in Canada was only to accompany a woman named Dena who is actually more good at taking care of herself and not like a child who she always has to look after.

Look, just like a bodyguard, Malvin was sure, not even a single man dared to bother him.

After a brief introduction at Mr. Robert's house, only then could Malvin rest at the hotel his father had prepared. He called his girlfriend and there Evelyn said she was lonely.

He wanted Malvin to come back right now, moreover, he felt really trapped by his father. This wasn't a business meeting at all, it was more like making Malvin the bodyguard of a woman who was even scarier than him.

However, Malvin could not do his part to return immediately. Because even though he is angry, Malvin is an obedient child, he will still carry out the duties of his father, even though he does not know what his goal is.

"Hahaha, have fun." There was Mr. Gerald's voice laughing when Malvin called him.

"What is your goal? You make me the bodyguard of a woman who is even scarier than me?"

Hearing Malvin's statement, made Mr. Gerald laugh even more. There was no definite explanation that Malvin got, only his father's laughter seemed very happy.

Finally, Malvin decided to rest and sleep instead of having to worry about his father's goals. Because tomorrow he has to accompany Dena.

The next day, Dena picked up Malvin at the hotel. Malvin did not know where the woman was taking him, he was just silent because the woman next to him was silent. The gaze is straight ahead.

"Where are we going?" Asked Dena after half an hour in a vehicle that did not find a destination.

"I don't know, am I not just here to keep you company?" Malvin asked back because as far as Malvin knew, he was only asked to accompany Dena wherever she went.

Dena hit the steering wheel and pulled the vehicle aside.

"So, we've been just going around in circles and you don't know where you're going?" Dena asked in a high tone.

"Shouldn't I be the one asking? Why are you the one who is angry?" Malvin replied in an equally high voice.

"Here I am a guest, a guest who was asked to accompany you to go, CK!" Malvin started to get emotional.

"Heh, actually I don't need to be accompanied wherever I go, because I can take care of myself," Dena said sarcastically.

"You think, I'm here to be your bodyguard? I wouldn't be with you if it wasn't my father's request."

"I'm a busy man who is willing to leave my job just to accompany a woman like you."

"What kind of woman do you say? I don't need your sacrifice either." Dena's sarcasm.

"So, what do you want?" Said Malvin coldly.

Dena exhaled and gave Malvin a quick glance.

"Okay, okay!" said Dena and returned to speeding the car.

Malvin and Dena walked into a coffee shop, then sat down and ordered coffee. They seemed silent without any interest in speaking. Until their order arrived, Malvin glanced at the woman in front of him.

"I think, I really have to finish my job here, so, as long as I go with you, I ask you to wear women's clothes." Malvin opened the conversation.

"I don't want anyone else to think I'm being escorted by a female bodyguard." He continued.

Dena looked at Malvin seriously. "I can't wear something I'm not comfortable with."

"It's none of my business, but you have to do it." Malvin leaned back and folded his arms across his chest.

Dena was just silent not responding to Malvin's words, she was thinking about what she should do after this.

An hour passed, Malvin picked up the car keys lying in front of him.

"Let me drive the car," Malvin said standing up and leaving Dena.

Dena was furious, she had not had time to refuse or even reply to the man's words, Malvin had already left, regardless of whether Dena followed him behind him or not. Oh yes one more thing, without paying the bill for their order.

Dena got up and paid for their order, then she walked towards the car in which Malvin was already waiting.

"Why are you so long!" Malvin said curtly.

"I should have asked, why did you just leave without paying the bill, Mr. Malvin." replied Dena no less curtly.

"Sorry, I forgot." The argument is by driving the vehicle slowly.

Malvin stared at the street in front of him, looking serious. Still no conversation between them, only Dena who occasionally glanced at Malvin.

"Where are we going?" asked Dena who was getting tired all this time just circling the same road.

"Anywhere that can change your appearance."

Dena rolled her eyes lazily. "Then, why have you been circling around in this area all the time?"

"I don't know the direction," Malvin replied casually.

Dena was about to explode with rage, however, she endured it. Dena closed her eyes, took a breath and she exhaled.

"Then why would you pretend to drive a car, if you don't know the direction, Mr. Malvin." Dena said with a little emphasis on each word.

Malvin held back his laughter at Dena's annoyed expression, he had absolutely no intention of making her angry. Malvin forgot that he was currently in Canada, because of that, he casually drove a car and realized that he didn't know the road in front of him at all.

Because it is too prestigious to ask, be Malvin just circling in the same area.

"Show me the way." Said Malvin.

Dena leads Malvin to the shopping center, however, Dena throws a tantrum, she doesn't want to obey Malvin to buy some feminine women's clothes.

Dena hiding and running away from Malvin, she ran fast when Malvin was choosing clothes for him. Malvin looks for Dena's whereabouts, however, he can't find her.

Unbeknownst to Malvin, Dena came home and left him at the mall alone. Dena is satisfied to be able to repay her annoyance because of Malvin's act.
