Alex lay down Evelyn's body in her room. Then he went into the kitchen, poured warm water into a glass, and immediately returned to Evelyn's room to give it to her. Alex helped her sit down to drink her water.

"Go to sleep, I'll take care of you outside."

Evelyn shook her head, "No thanks Alex, you'd better go home. I'm better now."

Alex stared at him silently. Alex's gaze made Evelyn feel guilty for rejecting her kindness.

"I have no intention of harming you. You suddenly get sick, and you don't have anyone to help you. Why do you still insist on rejecting my kindness? "

"I'm sorry," was all Evelyn said in the end.

"I'll stay here to accompany you, if tonight you need something, you can call me."

Alex came out of Evelyn's room without waiting for her answer. He came home to park the car and change his clothes. After that, Alex returned to Evelyn's house.

He knocked on Evelyn's door before going inside. Alex brought Evelyn dinner.

"Sit down, I'll help you. I just remembered you haven't eaten anything tonight."

Evelyn nodded, she was helped by Alex to sit with a pillow to support her back.

"I will feed you."

Evelyn just obeyed, she didn't say anything.

"Can I ask you something?" asked Alex after he offered him his first bite. Again Evelyn just nodded.

"Don't you have a friend? Emb, or a boyfriend?"

Evelyn was silent, then she shook her head. "I only have one friend in Jakarta."

Alex exhaled, "Have you never been sick?"

"Usually, I always fulfill my own needs. But I don't know, right now I feel really weak." Evelyn lowered her face in embarrassment.

After all, she just got to know Alex a while ago, but she was willing to help Evelyn whenever Evelyn needed. a warm feeling ran through his chest. She is like a younger brother who has been cared for by his brother. Evelyn missed her brother.

Evelyn's dinner is over. Alex tidied up his dinnerware.

"Change clothes before bed, I'll be in front if you need my help."

Evelyn nodded.

Alex came out of Evelyn's room, sat in the chair in front of the television, and turned it on. Tonight, he will sleep there.

Evelyn could not close her eyes even though her body was very weak. She remembered the incident earlier when she accidentally met Malvin. Maybe it was true if Malvin had been looking for it. But it seems that it cannot be denied that Malvin has accepted Dena as his future wife. It can be seen from how Malvin hugged Dena yesterday.

Evelyn smiled wryly, tears streaming from the corners of her eyes. she remembered Malvin's time with her. Especially when she was sick and suddenly Malvin came and took him to the hospital. Even though at that time, Evelyn thought Malvin was still in Canada.

All of those memories would be sweet if only at this time she was still with Malvin, in fact, the memories were stifling because she had given up the person she had been defending for years, to be owned by someone else.

Suddenly the memory of Dena who was on top of Malvin's body came back to him. Everything hurts more. Evelyn felt sick at once. She ran to the bathroom limply. Evelyn vomited up everything she had eaten.

Hearing that, Alex immediately ran to Evelyn's room. He saw that Evelyn had just come out of the bathroom staggering. Alex immediately came over and helped her sit up on the bed.

"I have to take you to the hospital."

Evelyn took Alex's hand, who was about to leave.

"I don't want to go to the hospital, I'm fine. Tomorrow I'm sure I'll be better. I just want to rest."

Alex sighed, he gave up because he didn't want to argue at a time like this with the woman in front of him who turned out to be extraordinarily stubborn.

He came back out of Evelyn's room and brought her warm water.

"You have no medicine at all?"

Evelyn shook her head.

"I'm going to the chemist to buy it."

Evelyn shook her head again.

"Okay, I'll stay here until you really fall asleep."

Evelyn was silent as Alex took a chair and sat down next to her bed. She kept watching the man in front of him who was playing with his cellphone. Evelyn curled her lips to smile.

"Alex,"

"Hmm." said the man without turning his head.

"Do you know, right now I feel my brother has returned."

Alex raised his eyebrows at Evelyn's eyes.

"Thank you, you take care of me like your own little sister."

Younger sister?

Alex was stunned silently at Evelyn's words.

"Then, you can consider me your brother," Alex said with a smile.

"Are you serious?"

Alex nodded. Evelyn smiled happily.

"So, as your brother, you must do my word."

Evelyn's lips pursed, "Cheating." she said. Alex just smiled in response.

"Go to sleep, tomorrow if you still don't get better, I'll take you to the doctor."

Evelyn nodded and began to close her eyes. Finally, she began to fall asleep. Alex got up and covered himself with a blanket, then came out of the room and lay down on the sofa in front of the TV.

The next day, Evelyn wakes up to find Alex still asleep on the sofa. Evelyn went to the kitchen and made hot tea. She took a sip of tea by picking up his cell phone. Evelyn calls Jeni, her best friend.

"Hello Jen, how are you?"

"I'm fine Eve, do you have a problem? why did you call so early? "

"I am also fine,"

From her tone of voice, Jeni could understand if there was anything important she wanted to talk about.

"Tell Eve, do you have a question or a story?"

Evelyn smiled, her best friend could always understand her.

"Um, Jeni. Do you know how the relationship between Malvin and Dena developed? "

Jeni seemed silent for a moment, then she answered.

"What I know, Dena comes to the office almost every day."

Evelyn froze at Jenifer's answer.

"What's the wrong Eve? You never asked them before, you even asked me to shut up when I started talking about them."

"Yesterday, I met them."

"Are you serious? "

"It seems, my mind is right to see their closeness. And that belief is getting stronger after I asked you."

"What do you mean? Where did you meet them?"

"I went to my friend's reunion party, and there I met them. I saw clearly, Malvin hugged Dena."

Jenifer returned to silence for a moment.

"Eve, never mind. Didn't you decide to get away from her yourself?"

"...."

"Forget him, Eve, don't torture yourself. You deserve to be happy in your life. You have been sacrificing for a long time and are loyal to him. Don't waste your life anymore."

"I'll forget about it, Jeni. Even though yesterday's meeting was like opening old wounds."

"Good, I believe you are a strong woman."

"Thank you, Jeni."

"Alright, I'll hang up the phone. I have to get ready to go to the office."

"Okay,"

Click, and the telephone line dies. Evelyn put her cell phone on the table and took another sip of her tea. Only then did she realize, that Alex was standing there.

"Alex ... have you been standing there long?"
