Chapter 3: Chapter 3

After nervously putting away the revolver, Ms. Sia pushed the door open and left.

After seeing Ms. Sia off, Loren returned to his original seat and stroked the raven on his shoulder.

Then, Loren took out a faintly glowing energy body from his desk drawer—a Spirit Stone.

Loren skillfully brought this Spirit Stone to the raven's beak.

The raven on his shoulder also skillfully opened its beak, swallowing the Spirit Stone that was larger than its head as if it were a black hole.

After absorbing this Spirit Stone, the raven regained its vitality, becoming spirited and energetic again.

The spots where feathers had been plucked from the raven's body grew new feathers once more, looking completely renewed.

Even the raven's eyes seemed to become more lively and intelligent...

"Let's see what kind of surprise this Ms. Sia will bring us?"

After Ms. Sia walked out of the "Raven Agency,"

she began pondering the words Loren had spoken:

"Enjoy seeing living souls struggle."

"The revolver in your hand has only six bullets, but you need to kill seven people."

"You must remain completely unharmed."

Ms. Sia extracted these key requirements in her mind.

The difficult part wasn't ending seven lives with six bullets, but the "three days" and "completely unharmed."

She subtly felt the revolver in her bosom, and her panicked heart calmed slightly.

When carrying a lethal weapon, killing intent naturally arises.

A plan slowly formed in this lady's mind...

Ms. Sia walked directly onto the street, stopping beside the corpses of the two mechanical repairmen who had previously followed her.

"I hope you can provide me with some help, even just a little."

Vera Sia stood in the pool of blood, bending down to search the two headless corpses for something.

After a while, Vera Sia stood up disappointed, her hands now stained with blood.

She had hoped to find some weapons on these two mechanical repairmen with ill intentions that would make killing easier for her.

Unfortunately, aside from finding two old combat knives, she found nothing else.

Even more unfortunately, she didn't know how to use combat knives, and her physical strength didn't ing old combat knives for fighting.

Nevertheless, she ultimately took these two somewhat old combat knives with her.

Having something was better than having nothing.

Just in case of unexpected needs...

Vera Sia casually walked into a shop by the street.

When the several people inside the shop saw Vera Sia enter,

they all watched this unexpected visitor with vigilance and wariness.

Their past experiences told them

that when this lady walked out of that damned Loren's agency,

she was no longer that fragile outsider, but a dangerous madwoman.

"Madam, you shouldn't be here. We are not your hunting targets," one of the people in the shop said cautiously to Sia. Check latest chapters at novel[f]ire.net

While speaking, he appropriately revealed the weapon at his waist, hoping Sia would recognize the difficulty and retreat.

Ms. Sia's expression froze momentarily.

She had thought she could launch a surprise attack...

So that's how it is... It seems Mr. Loren isn't doing this for the first time...

"Sorry to disturb you. May I ask if you know where I can sell these two combat knives?"

Seeing that she hadn't achieved her goal, Ms. Sia instead asked this question.

"The shop at the end of the street buys weapons," that person still watched Sia with full attention.

"Thank you, sorry for disturbing."

This Ms. Sia looked at the several people and slowly retreated out.

After leaving the shop, Vera Sia went directly toward the shop at the end of the street.

If they could buy weapons, naturally they could also sell weapons...

Vera Sia found the shop at the end of the street, examined it from outside for a moment, then walked in.

She wasn't afraid of those people deceiving her—in a certain sense, Loren was now backing her.

They might deceive others, but judging from their reactions, they probably didn't want to provoke her in her current state.

At least on this street, she was safe.

Having figured this out, she calmly walked into this shabby weapons shop.

There was only one person in this shop, someone who could be called a "middle-aged uncle."

Seeing Sia enter the shop, he stared at Vera Sia with a smiling expression.

"Madam, you're not the first person to come straight to my place after walking out of Mr. Loren's."

"But your reaction is the calmest."

Ms. Sia ignored this middle-aged uncle's teasing and instead placed the two combat knives on the counter by herself.

"How much for these two combat knives?"

"Crude style, ancient era, the price is negligible. But they're still worth two bullets," the weapons shop's middle-aged uncle replied with a smile.

Then, afraid Ms. Sia might not understand the meaning in his words, he added:

"Bullets compatible with the revolver in your bosom."

Hearing this, Ms. Sia's eyes lit up.

The middle-aged uncle behind the counter put away the two old combat knives, then took out two individually packaged bullets from the counter and handed them to Ms. Sia.

"Madam, happy hunting."

Sia put away these two bullets and prepared to leave.

At this moment, the middle-aged uncle revealed a scheming, successful smile.

"Forgot to tell you, the people killed with these two bullets won't be recognized by Mr. Loren."

Sia's departing footsteps paused, and she looked back at this middle-aged uncle.

After staring at this middle-aged uncle for a long time, Sia said nothing and left directly.

Seeing this, the middle-aged uncle chuckled.

These little lambs, after gaining power, always fail to recognize their own weight—somewhat naive.

Those two individually packaged bullets were just something he used to fool Vera Sia.

The revolver Loren provided was special.

Other bullets could only be compatible, but that was all they could do.

Bullets that weren't original would lose those magical effects.

"Getting two combat knives for free, today is really a good day," he said in a good mood.

Ms. Sia pushed the door open and entered the weapons shop again.

After entering, without saying much, she directly raised the black-gold revolver in her hand and fired two shots at him.

"Uncle, returning your bullets."

After two shots, Ms. Sia turned and left without any further words.

In front of the middle-aged uncle in the weapons shop, a transparent energy barrier appeared, blocking the two bullets he had just sold.

Uninjured, he put away the barrier in front of him and shook his head, saying:

"Whoa! Mr. Loren's client this time really has a hot temper..."
