Chapter 125: Chapter 125
Following the direction indicated by the branches and passing through the bustling crowd, Loren once again arrived at a quiet street.
This street had no shops at all, and both sides were planted with trees that were good at absorbing noise.
The various sounds created by the lively commercial street not far away diminished by more than half upon reaching this street.
After entering this street, Loren visibly relaxed a great deal; he still preferred this kind of quieter atmosphere.
Even though Loren was being watched by someone the moment he stepped onto this street, he didn't really mind.
Being watched meant Loren hadn't come to the wrong place.
Barring any surprises, the people watching Loren were part of Councilor Osman's security force.
Loren continued strolling leisurely, looking around as he walked to find the gate of that nameless manor.
After walking for a while.
He stopped in his tracks.
Two modest-sized houses were also built at the entrance of this manor.
And Loren could sense dozens of very vigilant gazes scrutinizing him from within those two houses.
Loren smiled slightly. Found you, Councilor Osman...
Loren turned naturally and walked openly and directly towards the gate of that nameless manor.
Instantly, Loren felt even more eyes focusing on him, easily over a hundred now...
"Oh, quite impressive security. Some of these stares are rather intense..." Loren murmured to himself.
He sensed that among these gazes fixed on him, there were already no fewer than ten high-level Superhumans.
"Master, let me confirm something first. You're sure you're just here for a visit, right?"
Raven's voice sounded again in Loren's mind; it always had some rather bad premonitions.
When did Master's madness intensify again? He seemed much better watching the sunset this evening!?!
Why does it feel like Master isn't here to visit, but to hunt Councilor Osman?!?!
"Shh, Raven. Keeping quiet is a virtue."
Loren's tone was somewhat languid as he continued walking towards that gate at an unhurried pace.
From the houses beside the two gates, over a hundred Superhumans dressed in black suits also emerged one after another, blocking the manor's main entrance.
The eyes of these hundred-plus Superhumans were all fixed on Loren, who was leisurely approaching the gate.
"Mr. Las Loren, please stop. Please tell me your purpose for coming here."
One of the Superhumans in a black suit stepped forward alone from the crowd of over a hundred.
After stepping out of the group, he asked Loren his reason for being here while simultaneously releasing his own energy fluctuations.
After Loren destroyed the three major families that night, his name and characteristics had circulated within the high-level Superhuman circles of the Jadeite Star Domain.
"A rather dangerous Interstellar Hunter has come to the Main City of the Jadeite Star Domain — Las Loren."
This high-level Superhuman responsible for the manor's security clearly recognized Loren as well.
Hearing this, Loren's footsteps paused.
From the energy fluctuations the other party released, he judged it to be the energy signature of an eighth-tier Superhuman.
His brow raised involuntarily. Even the gatekeepers have eighth-tier Superhumans? Interesting.
"Don't be nervous. I'm just here to visit Councilor Osman and discuss the matter of that orphanage." Loren said with a smile.
His face showed no hostility whatsoever, just like an ordinary, unremarkable visitor.
After hearing Loren's explanation, the high-level Superhuman felt slightly less tense.
Although he was an eighth-tier Martial Artist, he was also unwilling to engage with a rather bizarrely powerful individual.
Especially one whose hands had a habit of leaving no survivors.
Those in the Jadeite Star Domain who had crossed hands with Las Loren had all, unsurprisingly, died.
"Please wait a moment. I will notify Councilor Osman's secretary."
This eighth-tier Superhuman did not ask if Loren had an appointment, choosing instead to pass the difficult problem to someone else.
He pulled a communicator from his pocket and pressed the call button.
"Secretary Terra, Mr. Las Loren wishes to visit Councilor Osman. He is here to discuss matters concerning that orphanage. He is waiting at the gate."
After quickly explaining the situation at the manor gate, he glanced at Loren, who was quietly waiting not far away, then added in a low voice to the communicator:
"The combat intelligence on the other party is very bizarre. I am not confident I can stop him."
"Alright, I understand. Give the communicator to the other party. I will speak with him." A very sharp and efficient female voice came from the communicator.
This eighth-tier Superhuman finally let out a complete sigh of relief in his heart.
Looking at the situation, if Secretary Terra wants to talk with the other party, it's unlikely a fight will break out...
Directly telling the other party there's nothing to discuss would be the real danger signal. Good thing...
The eighth-tier Superhuman looked up, glanced at Loren, who was smiling at him from a distance, and was about to step forward to hand the communicator to Loren.
"Mr. Loren, Secretary Terra wishes to speak with you."
Suddenly, he remembered the other party's bizarre abilities again.
Then, his feet showed no sign of moving forward. Instead, he stood in place and threw the communicator in his hand towards Loren from a distance.
It was better not to get close to such a dangerous individual...
Loren caught the thrown communicator with extreme calmness, glancing out of the corner of his eye at the eighth-tier Superhuman who stood his ground, unwilling to approach.
With a puzzled expression, Loren put the communicator to his ear, while simultaneously thinking to himself involuntarily:
He doesn't even dare to get close to me? Am I really that terrifying?
"Hello, Mr. Las Loren. I apologize for speaking with you in this manner, but I still have some urgent work to handle and cannot come out to greet you. Please forgive me."
"Your purpose for coming is already known to me. However, I regret to inform you that Councilor Osman is not at the manor. He is away on business, and even I cannot contact him."
"As for the matter concerning the orphanage, I must inform you, sir. Councilor Osman has never been interested in that orphanage, nor has he instructed anyone to take action against it. This is a complete and utter misunderstanding."
A misunderstanding? Interesting. Loren subconsciously let out a light chuckle.
"Ms. Terra, I did not come here for a misunderstanding. I came here to solve a problem, didn't I?" Loren's tone was somewhat flat.
"Mr. Loren, I apologize. I understand your situation, but these matters truly have nothing to do with Councilor Osman. You have come to the wrong person."
The extremely efficient female voice came through the communicator once more.
Hearing this, Loren shrugged his shoulders somewhat boredly.
It had been a long time since someone had brushed him off . How amusing...
"I wish to see Councilor Osman. What is your opinion on that, Secretary Terra?" Loren's cold voice sounded again.
