Chapter 68: Chapter 68

Sienna Quinn lay at home, covering her head with the quilt. Something must have been caused by an insider handing over their design plan to the other party.

The phone kept ringing incessantly. Sienna turned over, covering her ears with her hands. She didn’t want to hear or see anything, just wanted to stay home for a few days.

But the constantly noisy phone seemed unwilling to let her go.

Felix Orwell put down the phone, chuckled ruefully, and shook his head. Sienna Quinn, as always, whenever her temper got the best of her, wouldn’t listen to anyone.

As soon as the incident happened, Sean Carter informed Felix Orwell. The man sneered; he initially thought Landon Lawson would be a refined man, and pushing him out of Sienna’s heart would require some effort, as that man felt dangerous and competitive.

Yet this time, he unexpectedly exposed a flaw.

Felix Orwell took out his phone and dialed Axel Yates. The source of thɪs content is Nov3lFɪre.ɴet

The latter smirked as he looked at the caller ID on display: "Your call was slower than I expected."

"I heard you suspended Sienna Quinn?" Felix Orwell’s voice carried a hint of reproach.

Regarding the suspension, Axel Yates was indeed a bit helpless; the public opinion was truly terrifying.

"Yes, the board is exerting pressure on me."

"Never mind, I know it’s difficult for you, but you must keep an eye on Landon Lawson, and I hope you can quickly uncover the truth and clear Sienna’s name."

Whenever Felix Orwell was involved in Sienna’s affairs, the initially loose and carefree person turned increasingly earnest.

After hanging up the phone, Felix Orwell raised his attractive eyes and casually tossed the phone onto the table, swaggering toward the stairs.

His bodyguard watched him pass by, and everyone he passed lowered their heads.

Felix Orwell pushed open the innermost door, seeing a middle-aged man seated inside who bore a striking resemblance to him; however, his naturally authoritative demeanor was vastly different.

"Dad, why are you still up so late?"

Mr. Orwell looked up at his frivolous son sitting across from him. His originally stern expression softened upon seeing Felix.

"Why are you up so late, you rascal? Speak up, what’s brought you here at this hour?"

"Well... I want to return to my country for a few days. What do you think?"

Felix Orwell sheepishly rubbed his hands; he hadn’t been back long, yet he wanted to leave again.

"You rascal, you just got back a few days ago, spending every night in clubs. This company will eventually be yours. Do you really think your father will live forever?"

Felix Orwell laughed, "Dad, you’ll definitely live forever."

Mr. Orwell chuckled softly, watching Felix with interest, "I won’t let you leave this time unless you can increase the company’s stock value by five percent."

"Five percent?" Felix Orwell widened his eyes; the Orwell Group is among the top in France, increasing five percentage points out of thin air isn’t something just anyone can accomplish.

"Alright, you old man."

"You rascal, is that how you talk to your old man?"

Five percent? Felix Orwell had never taken it to heart before; he just needed to let Sienna wait, as he couldn’t return to her side immediately. He hoped Landon Lawson would have some conscience not to harm her anymore.

"Landon Lawson, I advise you to be a bit kinder."

Evan Quinn obediently sat at Danielle Carter’s home, blinking his big, beautiful eyes, "Danielle, did something happen to my mommy?"

"How could it be? President Quinn is so capable, how could something happen?" Danielle Carter’s eyes flickered, did this little kid know?

With Sienna at the center of controversy, the house had long been surrounded by paparazzi reporters. If Evan Quinn appeared at this critical juncture, he’d surely be blocked at the door, and his identity would naturally be revealed.

Before she shut herself away, Sienna had asked Danielle to pick Evan up from kindergarten, agreeing he would stay at her house for a few days.

"Look, you’re lying to me. Do you think I’m just a kid?"

Evan put the tablet in front of Danielle Carter. The screen clearly displayed news about Sienna.

Danielle’s face changed slightly; she had forgotten that this little master wasn’t like other kids; a few words wouldn’t deceive him.

She slapped her forehead hard, realizing she felt more like the child compared to Evan.

"Alright, alright, I surrender. President Quinn did encounter some minor troubles, so you’ll stay here for a few days. Once it’s resolved, President Quinn will come to pick you up."

Danielle Carter cautiously watched Evan, fearing he’d worry about Sienna.

The latter watched the comments below with interest, occasionally tapping the screen with small fingers, "These people are so dumb. How could my mommy betray the company?"

Watching Evan’s cute and clever expression, Danielle unexpectedly froze.

"Aren’t you worried about President Quinn?"

"Worried? My mommy is not so easily defeated. Since she didn’t do those things, why should she take the blame for others? She’s definitely someone who avenges every slight."

Back when abroad, every time she was wronged, Sienna would lock herself in her room for a day before coming out. By then she’d find ways to make those who bullied her pay.

Evan was full of energy one second and silent the next. If Sienna was hunted by the paparazzi these days, then the parents’ meeting would...

A sudden flash of inspiration, after all, if you don’t use some people for free, then who would?

"Danielle, what do you think about President Lawson?"

"Previously, I thought he was great, but now he’s really just scum."

Scum? How did Daddy become scum?

"President Quinn ended up because of him, ruthless and unscrupulous. I used to like him so much before. Now I see I was really blind." Danielle Carter’s face turned ugly; if not for their stealing ideas, how could Sienna be so misunderstood?

"But I don’t think he’s that kind of person."

"You’re still young, don’t know about the cruel world, so you’re easily deceived by him, back in the day..."

Listening to Danielle Carter’s retrospection, Evan immersed himself in thoughts.

Landon Lawson’s appearance didn’t seem like a person without morals or a bottom line. If he really made mommy face such disdain, then such a father wasn’t worth acknowledging.

Early the next morning, Sean Carter arrived downstairs at Sienna’s apartment.

Looking at the dense crowd, he wiped away the sweat that formed on his forehead, sighed helplessly, and donned the hood of his hooded sweatshirt, pulling out a towel out of nowhere like magic.

He sprinted in place, panting and running toward the crowd.
