Chapter 193: Chapter 193
"Sienna Quinn! You really stop at nothing!"
Landon Lawson’s furious voice suddenly rang out as Sienna frowned, looking at the imposing man striding towards her.
What had she done to make him so angry? With a slightly grave expression, she watched Landon walk towards her.
"What are you talking about?"
"What am I talking about? Don’t you know?" Landon sneered, his gaze falling on Clara Quinn not far away. Although a lot had happened along with inner struggles, these were just matters of moments.
Landon pointed at Clara and said, "You were the one who drugged her, weren’t you!"
"President Lawson, I advise you to watch your words, or I’ll sue you for defamation!" Sienna’s expression was not good. Landon Lawson was spouting nonsense, speaking without evidence. If someone with an agenda heard this, she could only imagine how they would smear her behind her back.
The man snorted coldly, his eyes filled with ridicule.
"The same trick you used five years ago, but I never thought you’d lay a hand on your own cousin. You really are a ruthless woman."
Landon had initially thought Sienna was just sharp-tongued, but now it seemed that wasn’t the case at all. This woman was essentially a particularly bad person at heart.
Five years after their reunion, Landon had always thought this woman had changed, become better, not like before. But now he realized he was overthinking it—it’s not so easy to change a person’s nature.
Sienna, ruthless as ever.
Sienna looked at Clara’s appearance, with a strange pink hue all over her body. If she guessed correctly, someone had drugged her. But when was she drugged, and why choose her, Sienna couldn’t fathom.
But one thing Sienna knew for sure—she wasn’t the one who did it!
"President Lawson, you’re only seeing the tip of the iceberg. Don’t jump to conclusions. Sometimes, your reckless guesses can really hurt someone." Content originally comes from novelFire.net
Sienna spoke expressionlessly.
Whether it was five years ago or now, Landon’s macho mindset had never changed. It was also because he only saw the surface, making choices and judgments that indirectly led to her demise—if it weren’t for Landon, both she and the baby wouldn’t have died.
Looking into those clear and pure eyes, Landon momentarily felt dazed. He didn’t know how many years he’d looked into those eyes, the owner of those eyes chased after him for so many years until she finally left without a word.
Was it really all his subjective guesses?
Or would the events of then and now all be reversed?
Felix Orwell stood by, observing the man wildly speculating against Sienna without understanding a thing, and gently cleared his throat, interrupting the conversation between the two.
"President Lawson, we’ve all been standing here without moving a bit, and we know nothing about any drugging you’re talking about. Your wild speculations and accusations seem a bit off, don’t you think?"
Felix shrugged, a charming smirk playing on his lips.
Landon furrowed his brows slightly; how could this man have a say in his conversation with his wife?
He snorted coldly, "Does this concern you?"
Felix adorably shrugged again and suddenly draped an arm around Sienna’s shoulder, closing the distance between them. They looked just like a couple, smiling as he said, "Sienna’s matters are my matters."
Sienna found it somewhat amusing; Felix really enjoyed acting and was still thinking of ways to provoke Landon.
But in Landon’s eyes, it was a completely different matter.
Felix could fool anyone but not Landon.
The tenderness in the man’s eyes made him very uncomfortable. His woman was now being coveted by another man; how could he possibly feel at ease?
The two men faced off, a confrontation on the verge of breaking out.
Suddenly, the sound of rustling behind them caught their attention, causing everyone to turn and look in unison, just in time to see Clara staggering towards them, disheveled.
The blush on her face hadn’t subsided.
Sienna frowned. What was Clara doing? Why was she heading in her direction?
Could it be, like Landon, she thought it was Sienna who drugged her?
Clara’s ferocious, clawing figure was terrifying to behold. Calm as Sienna was, this time she felt a bit flustered. An insane woman would not listen to reason.
Felix protected Sienna behind him, cautiously watching Clara.
Landon watched indifferently, not intending to intervene at all—this was trouble caused by Sienna, and he wouldn’t take responsibility for it.
Sienna turned and glanced at Evan Quinn and Sean Carter, who were shivering on the sofa, narrowing her eyes as a suspicion formed in her mind.
Looks like she would have to handle this mess caused by the big and little idiots.
"Uncle Sean, do you think she knows it was us who did it?" Evan asked nervously.
Sean shivered at the thought of having his face clawed by that woman before, still scared, and shook his head vehemently, "That wasn’t my doing. If she’s going to find someone, it’ll be you."
Evan was surprised to see the man pushing him under the bus, raising his eyebrows lightly. Was he really expected to take the fall?
Evan huffed angrily, puffing out his cheeks as he placed his chubby hands on his hips, muttering like a little adult, "Hmph! No one would believe that this was all my doing."
Sean pointed at Evan, who pouted cutely, looking so much like Sienna, even adopting her playful mannerisms.
Chiara Thorne watched the little adult and grown-up whispering together in confusion—when did these two start whispering to each other?
Sienna turned her attention back to Clara. If she was here to cause trouble, somehow, today she’d have to handle it.
Taking a deep breath, she took a step towards the woman now almost within reach, "I know..."
Before she finished speaking, her expression suddenly froze, swallowing the words back as everyone stared wide-eyed at the scene before them.
"Stephen, you’re so handsome, so dashing."
Clara was entirely draped over Landon, her face flush as her little hands restlessly roamed over his chest, teasing his nerves.
Landon looked at the woman clinging to him with a dark, furious expression, gritting his teeth.
Clara hadn’t come for Sienna; she was heading straight for Landon, and as soon as she arrived, she threw herself over him.
"You, get off of me!"
A cold voice emanated from the man’s mouth.
