Chapter 184: Chapter 184

He’s never looked at her like that before.

All these years of knowing each other, such a gaze had never fallen upon her.

Why? Why does Sienna get to have what she hasn’t had in over twenty years just upon returning? She looked at the woman unwillingly, only to see a soft little child standing by her side, her gaze gradually darkening.

Sienna has really gone all out to get back to Landon Lawson’s side. If she truly didn’t want Landon’s child, then why give birth?

Vera Yates didn’t believe it. Such an outstanding man like Landon Lawson is someone anyone would want. She doesn’t believe that after loving him for so long, Sienna could just stop loving him.

Landon’s gaze never left Sienna. She was absolutely stunning tonight.

A barely noticeable smile appeared on the man’s previously cold face, even he didn’t notice, that he could one day smile.

Sienna had just come down when Old Mrs. Quinn, who had been absent until now, finally appeared.

Standing by Sienna, Old Mrs. Quinn proactively took Sienna’s small hand, while Evan Quinn was held by a servant’s hand by his side.

The Quinn Family may not be considered a top-tier family, but Old Mrs. Quinn’s status is significant. If not for her over these years, the company would’ve long gone bankrupt.

"This is the daughter of the Quinn Family, studying abroad for five years and finally returning," Old Mrs. Quinn turned her head with a warm smile at Sienna, her eyes shining brightly.

A picture of perfect harmony.

Sienna lowered her head and chuckled softly. If only it were truly harmonious; but it isn’t, everything’s just an act.

Seeing the mocking at the corner of Sienna’s mouth, Old Mrs. Quinn frowned slightly but, with so many people watching, had to swallow her anger.

Landon stood below, looking up at the performing family, laughing coldly.

Vera looked up at Landon, startled by his cold laugh, and asked somewhat unexpectedly, "Stephen, is something wrong?"

"Nothing, just that this play seems boring."

Vera chuckled lightly. How could she not know the Quinn Family’s situation?

This family no longer needs Sienna, having been gone for five years without contacting them. Could they really be worried about her?

Vera laughed coldly. How could Sienna alone, without the backing of a family, hope to contend with her after these five years have changed so much?

"The Quinn Family is truly fortunate to have such a daughter."

"She’s beautiful, capable, and a woman no less than a man."

The well-wishers kept congratulating Old Mrs. Quinn and Sienna. Old Mrs. Quinn’s smile was so wide it nearly didn’t close. It seemed that the recent uproar outside could be quelled by this birthday party.

"Sienna has studied abroad for many years, always wanting to make her mark through her own abilities. The family originally wanted her to come back to work, but stubborn as she is, wouldn’t listen. But she really made a way for herself."

Old Mrs. Quinn’s eyes were full of appreciation, her dry skin trembling at the surrounding congratulatory voices.

Landon watched Sienna stand beside Old Mrs. Quinn, smiling faintly. He tightened his grip on the birthday present in his hand and stepped towards Sienna.

"Stephen..." As the voice called out and the small hand reached out, it only brushed the corner of his clothes, slipping through her fingers.

A large hand suddenly grabbed her small one, startling Vera, as she turned to look at Miles Grant standing beside her.

"Don’t rush into mistakes."

Seeing Miles frown, she remembered not to be overly impulsive.

In the car just now, Landon had already suspected her. A slightest slip-up, and years of effort would be wasted.

A sudden loud voice rang out, overshadowing the music of the party. The recently brightened hall darkened once again. Old Mrs. Quinn furrowed her brows; this wasn’t supposed to happen, why did it darken again?

Sienna froze for a moment, and as the birthday banquet darkened, her first instinct was to grab Evan nearby, afraid someone might stir trouble in the dark.

Two beams of light were cast, one illuminating Sienna, the other the center of the banquet, where there was a large gift box.

A projector cast light on the wall, the camera shook a bit, and a man appeared in the video, his black hair arrogantly pointing in every direction.

Arrogant and domineering.

A handsome face nearly touched the camera, grinning widely.

He called out again, much clearer than before.

He moved away from the camera, sitting casually on a sofa, that laid-back demeanor adding a hint of wickedness.

Seeing that face, Sienna chuckled, and Evan reached out his chubby little hand, pointing at the man on the wall, saying, "It’s Uncle Felix."

Sienna knew it! How could such an occasion not include him? Yet she didn’t expect that, even not being in France, Felix Orwell would send his regards.

"Felix!!!" Landon squinted, his eyes ice-cold. Felix Orwell is persistent, even from abroad he can’t forget his woman, haunting him endlessly.

"In the past five years, though you never celebrated birthdays, I never missed a year. Even though you’ve returned this year, why would my gift be absent? My darling Sienna, happy birthday!"

Felix said with a cheerful voice.

But as he finished speaking, everyone present gasped. Did Felix just call Sienna ’darling’?

Could these two be in a relationship?

All eyes turned to Sienna, then back to the man in the video, all truly stunned, suddenly curious about this man’s identity.

There were also those aware of Sienna and Landon’s relationship. The ex-husband attending the ex-wife’s birthday with his current girlfriend, and the ex-wife’s boyfriend sending blessings.

Though the two were divorced, could Landon’s pride endure this?

Everyone turned to Landon, finding him expressionless. Standing beside him, Vera Yates, feeling everyone’s gaze, quickly wrapped her small hand around Landon’s arm, smiling sweetly.

This time, Landon didn’t refuse, allowing Vera to hold his arm, his lips tightly pressed. Find the newest release on novel-fire.net

The sweet voice sounded, and Landon gently patted her hair. Vera relished in the gesture, rubbing against his arm.

A picture of love and affection!

However, this scene was perfectly caught by Sienna.
