Chapter 168: Chapter 168
Before Sienna Quinn even stepped inside, she could hear the sounds of arguing coming from within.
The noisy arguments made Sienna frown. Since when had the company become so undisciplined? Did people have to bring their arguments into the company now? And why were there so many onlookers?
"President Quinn is here, President Quinn is here!"
Someone behind Sienna noticed her and quickly stepped aside to make way, while the others who were criticizing the people inside fell silent. It was then that Sienna could finally hear the voices inside clearly.
"Where’s Sienna? Get her out here!" Clara Quinn shouted, having been besieged quite badly alongside Amanda Warren, unable to leave due to the surrounding accusations.
Sienna looked at Clara and Amanda, wondering why they had come at this time.
Could there be something else going on?
"Sienna, you finally came out!" Clara glared at Sienna with an upset expression, getting ready to lecture her.
Amanda stood aside, regaining her composure, and took on a parental tone as she said, "Now that you’re here, look at your company’s employees. How can they be so rebellious?"
Sienna glanced at Sean Carter, who no longer had his sharp tongue. His clothes were a mess, and many of his hairs had been pulled out.
Despite Clara wearing a cute dress, she showed no hesitation when fighting, still clutching some of Sean’s hair between her fingers.
"Rebellious?" Sienna looked at Sean a few more times, her facial muscles twitching as she suppressed a laugh, but her mischievous eyes earned a glare from Sean. Thᴇ link to the origɪn of this information rᴇsts ɪn NoveI(F)ire.net
Sienna turned her gaze to Amanda and Clara, "I’m not sure about rebellious, but I see you causing a scene in the company. Sean is an employee of ours, and you attacked him without any reason. As his superior, I should seek justice for my employee."
"Seek justice? Are you going to demand an apology from us over an employee?" Clara’s face was as dark as could be as she pointed a finger at Sienna.
"Cousin, mind your manners. There are many people watching."
Sienna squinted as she spoke.
Amanda gently coughed, interrupting Clara, and squinted at her, her voice turning cold: "Don’t forget, we’re your family. You’re breaking apart your own family for outsiders? You’ve really got some nerve, forgetting your roots already."
Seeing the malicious backwards accusations, Sienna chuckled quietly.
Her mockery made Amanda twitch her lips, suddenly realizing that coming here today was a mistake. This Sienna was not the same as five years ago; her actions and words were clean and efficient, without hesitation or submission.
She was now someone Amanda dared not provoke.
"Forgotten roots? The Quinn Family never treated me as family, so why should I stand by you? Now you remember I’m a Quinn? Did you forget over the past five years?"
"Sienna, watch your tone," Clara shouted angrily.
"My tone has always been clear. Now apologize to my employee." Her smile vanished instantly as she stared directly into Clara’s eyes.
Amanda frowned, finding it hard to believe that Sienna didn’t respect her as the second aunt at all. "Really becoming more and more disrespectful. Is this your upbringing?"
"Upbringing? So my second aunt wants to discuss upbringing with me, huh?" Sienna laughed mockingly, her eyes fixed on Amanda with a vengeful glare, which made Amanda shiver, suddenly worried that Sienna would reveal that incident.
Though Sienna had no evidence, her current status meant that anything she said could be taken as the near truth, causing the high society to gossip about Amanda and her son.
Seeing Amanda’s nervousness, Sienna knew full well her concerns.
"Why do I lack upbringing? Doesn’t my second aunt know?"
Hearing this, Amanda’s face twitched with tension.
"What is Sienna babbling on about? Today Clara was impulsive and didn’t take care of your reputation. You shouldn’t be so angry." But Sienna wasn’t buying it.
"If there’s no apology, call the police!" The moment the words fell, many people behind her immediately picked up their phones to dial the police.
Clara stared at her in shock, surprised that Sienna would so easily call for the police.
Amanda, seeing that Sienna wasn’t joking, quickly said, "Sienna, it has always been misunderstandings before, and today too. Clara will apologize, and we’ll cover this manager’s medical expenses."
After Amanda spoke, she nudged Clara, who was extremely reluctant. To apologize to an employee? Impossible.
"Hurry up and apologize!" Amanda said with a dark face.
Clara reluctantly looked at Amanda, just about to refuse, but seeing Amanda’s dark face reminded her of how less amiable her mother was than she seemed. She really didn’t want to anger Amanda.
"I’m sorry," Clara’s voice was as soft as a mosquito buzz.
Having followed Sienna for a few years, Sean Carter understood her intentions. He smiled slowly, stepped forward, and said, "I didn’t hear clearly."
Clara glared at Sean, pointed a finger, and said fiercely, "Fine, you win. I’m sorry!"
The last words were nearly shouted to the heavens.
Sienna looked at the discomfited Clara, quite happy, and Clara knew not to linger any longer, leaving with a dark face.
People watched the two retreat in a flurry, with a sense of awe.
"Alright, everyone, back to work. If President Yates sees this, how will you explain yourselves?" Sienna, in high spirits today, made a rare joke with the crowd.
The group greeted Sienna and dispersed to work.
Sean Carter felt Sienna’s gaze on him, his eyes flickering as he turned his head away, avoiding her eyes.
Seeing his evasive behavior, Sienna chuckled. "What’s the matter? Nothing you want to say to me?"
"What you see is what you get, there’s nothing more to say."
Sean simply wanted to stand up for Sienna but didn’t expect Clara to behave like a shrew, resorting to physical violence immediately.
Sienna laughed gently. "How could I not know? You’re worried about them causing trouble."
Sean turned his head, his face flushed red, embarrassed that Sienna had seen through him.
"Don’t worry, I won’t let things slide on certain issues. I’m just considering other solutions. Those two will face consequences."
Sienna’s eyes drifted towards the elevator door, getting lost in thought.
Seeing her pondering expression, Sean naturally knew what was on her mind and nodded. How could he not trust Sienna?
"What did you say? Kicked out of Yates Group by Sienna?" Old Mrs. Quinn looked at the two in front of her with an upset expression.
