Chapter 148: Chapter 148
Hearing that Sienna Quinn hasn’t come, Evan Quinn releases the corner of Landon Lawson’s clothes, pouting his rosy lips with a small charming face.
Landon Lawson raised an eyebrow, since Sienna Quinn hasn’t come, is Evan not going to call him Daddy?
Teacher Cole smiles warmly as he approaches the two, watching their harmonious interaction, and his lips curve into a pleasant arc.
"It’s Friday, so leave early with the child," Landon Lawson politely tells Teacher Cole, though his chilly demeanor makes Teacher Cole blush a little.
Looking closely at Landon Lawson, he’s absurdly handsome.
Such a talented, wealthy, and handsome man, only a woman as outstanding as Sienna Quinn could match him.
"Have a good weekend." Faced with such a handsome Daddy, Teacher Cole couldn’t help but blush.
"Chloe, say goodbye to Teacher Cole."
"Goodbye, Teacher Cole." Evan obediently waves goodbye to Teacher Cole, his cute manner is utterly adorable, and he even manages to blow her a kiss as he leaves.
Landon Lawson raised an eyebrow, who has Evan learned this from? He hasn’t been by Evan’s side for the past five years, surely these flirting tactics were learned from Sienna Quinn.
Landon Lawson’s lips twitch...

Teacher Cole stands dazedly in place, such a young child already knows how to flirt, one wonders what he’ll be like in the future.
"Truly handsome, it seems he’ll drive women wild just like his Daddy when he grows up." Teacher Cole mumbles to himself.
Ever since learning that Landon Lawson is Evan’s father, he’s frequently seen this man appear at the kindergarten gate, and this is the first time Teacher Cole sees Landon Lawson truly attentive to matters outside of work.
Originally, he thought Lawson was cold-hearted, just a machine for working, but he just hadn’t found someone or something he cared about.
Once he encounters someone he cares about, those matters won’t matter anymore.
Landon Lawson turns his head, looking at Evan in the passenger seat, his fine eyebrows lightly raised. He didn’t expect that taking the child to and fro would become addicting, and missing a day with the little one is boring. Initially, he thought it was just due to missing his flesh and blood, but over time he realized that the person he truly wanted to see has always been Sienna Quinn.
In fact, Evan has always been the perfect excuse.
Clearly, both Evan and Sienna have become important parts of his life.
"Now let’s pick up your Mommy!" he turns and says to Evan sitting in the back.
"Hurry up, I thought Mommy was coming just now, but it turned out just to be you alone." Evan says, exasperated.
Landon Lawson raises an eyebrow lightly, from the start, Evan’s eyes brimmed with disappointment upon not seeing Sienna, and since getting in the car, Evan hasn’t been friendly towards him.
Landon Lawson squints, gazing at Evan’s cold little face beside him, suddenly experiencing Nolan Shaw’s feelings — does Nolan feel this way every time he’s by his side?
"Don’t you want to see me?" Landon Lawson sulks too, having done nothing wrong yet being disliked?
Evan rolls his eyes, thinking his Daddy is such a clueless idiot in matters of emotions. Doesn’t his head show any growth?
"You’re not naïve enough to now pick up Mommy and think she’s dining with us, do you!" Evan laughs mockingly, having been so affectionate the moment they left the house suggesting the father-son relationship couldn’t be better — but only Evan knows all this is done for Sienna to see, just acting so she mistakenly believes that having a family is truly joyful, thus accelerating their progress.
But this silly Daddy doesn’t even understand he should collect Mommy first.
Has he never had a girlfriend before?
For a moment, Landon Lawson didn’t know how to answer Evan’s question, pondering for a while, "She should be coming out, your Mommy will dine with us!"
With his sharp wit, Evan perceives Landon Lawson’s hesitation, laughing mockingly, as he leans his little head close, grinning as he asks Landon, "Be honest, have you ever dated anyone other than Mommy?"
This teasing gaze is full of gossip, as Landon squints, looking at him with annoyance, "Did you pick up your gossiping nature from Sienna?"
Landon Lawson indeed regrets allowing Sienna to roam France alone for so many years.
Judging by Landon’s evasive behavior, Evan understands that Landon indeed hasn’t had a girlfriend until now, which explains why he’s utterly clueless in romantic matters.
But that’s good; it proves he didn’t fool around after Sienna left.
"Mommy will definitely dine with us!" Evan whispers, his Mommy is his sole kin, having relied on each other all these years. If Landon isn’t a good man, then it’s better not to have him as a Daddy.
Their car stops beneath the Yates Group building, both sitting in the car looking at the Yates Group tower, as the man’s gaze shifts.
"Why aren’t you going up to look for Mommy?"
"Going up wouldn’t be proper."
Landon Lawson deems it improper to directly find Sienna on the upper floors of a company, concerned about office gossip. Although he doesn’t worry about what people say, it would likely impact Sienna negatively, and knowing much of the previous incidents, he naturally understands it’s not easy for Sienna at Yates Group. Suddenly going up could result in trouble for her.
Looking at Landon’s profile, Evan grasps that his Daddy actually is quite considerate of his Mommy.
Landon Lawson takes out his phone and dials Sienna’s number.
"Evan and I are waiting for you downstairs, let’s go dine together!"
"I still have some work left, take the child first, and bring him back after dining." Sienna answers Landon’s call, seeing the caller ID, her brow furrows slightly. Although Evan previously insisted on dining with family weekly, an incomplete plan makes her suspicious, has he begun suspecting?
Sienna doesn’t want frequent encounters with Landon, being apprehensive as he could see through her — he’s not easy to deal with.
Singlehandedly leading the Lawson Group to prosperity attests to his skill, and such a keen observer notices many subtleties.
"Mommy, please join us for dinner, we haven’t dined together in ages, you’ve been busy working these days, it’s been long since you’ve kept me company, don’t you miss me?"
