Chapter 98: Chapter 98
"So, how was your visit to your future husband? Did you break off the engagement with him?" asked Jakro as the carriage was moving. Only him and his daughter were inside the carriage.
"I was planning to but after I met him, I couldn’t find the courage to say those and neither do I want to break off the engagement anymore. Evan has completely changed from how he used to be. He’s now more mature and confident in himself and that’s the type of man I want." answered Rosaria with a rare smile.
"Confident or not confident, he’s talent is above average at best. That boy from the Brevity Family is much better than him. How can you be stronger than your husband?"
"In the past, that would have been the case but now, things are different. Evan has grown to the point where even I am not confident in defeating him. As for the matter of the Brevity, don’t ever mention it to me again or I’ll tell mother."
"Fine, fine, I won’t talk about it anymore so you don’t need to tell your mother. But has that Wulliz brat become so strong, I don’t believe it!" said Jakro with doubt.
"Out of all his siblings, both older and younger, only he will received a letter of recommendation from Lord Daniel, not even Chery had this opportunity and she’s called the greatest Wulliz Family genius."
"Now, I’m excited about his performance in the Royal Academy. I’ll be sure to keep a close eye on him." said Jakro jokingly. Tʜe sourcᴇ of thɪs content ɪs 𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹·𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗲·𝗻𝗲𝘁
"Don’t provoke him, father. Just because he’s become more mature doesn’t mean he’s stopped being an arrogant young master and you know how they tend to be when provoked."
"How could I forget, all young masters are crazy people. Capable of killing you for the way you look at them, the way you walk or even the way you eat, hahaha! Young Masters truly are crazy bastards!"
A month later, Zixin was surrounded by only Bookworms, from Rank 1all the way to Rank 3 and it was more than a million of them. To be exact, Zixin had 1.2 million Rank 1 Bookworms, 1100 Rank 2 Bookworms and 210 Rank 3 Bookworms, all of the High Grade. Treasures, Magical Beasts, Mages, Spells, Plants, etc, are all separated into three grades, Low, Mid and High.
He’d gone from 12 million Rank 1 Bookworms to just slightly more than a million but it wasn’t without reason. For a Rank 1 Bookworm to grow and reach Rank 2, it has to devour a hundred Rank 2 of the same grade and to advance to Rank 3, one Rank 1 needs to devour ten thousand other Rank 1’s of the same grade. And also, for a Bookworm to raise its grade, it has to cannibalize and that number exponentially increase starting with three worms being devoured, then nine and all the way to the desired grade.
This was how millions of Bookworms were drastically decreased to just a million plus of them without a single dead one being wasted. As for Wisdom Wood, it helped the Woodworms evolve in the quickest time possible without losing their grade. So High Grade Rank 1 Woodworms evolved into High Grade Rank 2 Bookworms. All this time, Zixin had been selling High grade Bookworms.
Wood is essential for Evolution and cannibalism is essential for Growth, in grades and ranks.
After cultivating, Zixin collected all the worms and went downstairs to deliver them to the Guild Courier. The worms were packaged in wood boxes for absolutely free then Zixin posted in his GPM account and went back to his room, this time, he didn’t go to sleep because he was very hungry. For the whole month, he’d been doing nothing but meditating which had bore some results.
Jersse and Evan were already waiting for Mr Bug’s notification because he’d post his products at the end of each month and by this time, Evan had already advanced to the Low Grade Two Star Mage. It was a breakthrough that took place just a few days ago.
The duo was already in the Guild Private Market, waiting for Mr Bug’s products to appear and as soon as they appeared, Jersse and Evan were ready. When Evan saw Rank 2, he bought all of them without even checking the price and all Rank 3 Bookworms. He was about to go for the Rank 1’s but all of them were bought by someone else.
When Evan and Jersse checked the price of Rank 1 Woodworms, they couldn’t help but gulp hard in fear and astonishment.
"Jersse, how much are these Bookworms in total?" asked Evan.
"...Around five to six hundred million GP." replied Jersse, he too couldn’t believe that someone actually had so much money. The duo just realised that in the Adventurers Guild, the waters ran deeper than they’d anticipated. Evan was still happy though for buying all Rank 2 and Rank 3 Bookworms and he’d spent a total of 7.5 million GP. Sadly, Zixin only sold Bookworms today and there wasn’t a new product in store.
In his study room, Daniel received a notification that he’d just spent 7.5 million GP and was inwardly shocked by this absurd amount of money spent in a few seconds.
’Just what did that boy buy that costs so much money.’
"Show me what exactly was bought that costs 7.5 million GP."
Daniel didn’t pay much attention to the information being read out to him but the more he listened, the more attentive he listened and by the end, he was fully concentrated and his eyes were filled with shock and doubt.
’Such extraordinary worms actually exist?!’ he exclaimed inwardly.
"Since there’s Rank 3 and Rank 2, there should also be Rank 1, right?"
"WHAT?! HOW COULD SOMEONE HAVE SO MUCH MONEY...THAT’S SIX HUNDRED MILLION GP THAT WE’RE TALKING ABOUT! WHO, WHO WAS IT THAT SPENT SO MUCH MONEY?!"
"This name sounds familiar...Maeyd...Maeyd...MAEYD VAN XIRCH?! THAT MONSTER IS STILL ALIVE?! OH MY GOODNESS, IF HE’S STILL ALIVE, THEN IT MEANS HE’S BECOME A SORCERER OR EVEN BEYOND. THE ELVES ARE DEFINITELY GOING TO SUFFER HIS WRATH."
