Chapter 88: Chapter 88
Eventually, everyone woke up and everything returned to normal. Robert took Zixin and his friends to go and collect their rewards. What Zixin didn’t expect though was a top-up of Robert’s balance which he then shared equally with everyone by touching each other’s adventurers identity cards.
"Robert, didn’t you say that mana stones are the universal currency so what use are these points?" asked Zixin.
"Benefactor, these points are more valuable than mana stones. With these points, you can purchase products that you would otherwise not find outside, artefacts, spells, knowledge, information, magical beasts and other things that are of a better quality can be bought in the guild using these points." explained Robert.
"I see. And what’s the exchange rate of these two?"
"One thousand mana stones for a single point. Points can be exchanged for mana stones but mana stones can’t be exchanged for points. This is to prevent the rich from not completing missions simply because they are wealthy. And because you saved our lives, I’m willing to give you half of my points, please don’t refuse my gesture." said Robert.
Zixin of course wasn’t foolish enough to reject easy money and happily accepted the points. The others also gave Zixin half of their points, in no time, Zixin had 250 points which was equivalent to 250 thousand mana stones.
After collecting the guild points, they went to collect their badges. Even Zixin was given his own badge for the information he provided.
"The Badge of Honour comes with a few benefits. With this badge, you get twenty percent on all sales in all the Adventurers Guild branches. Also, you can live on the first floor of the guild absolutely for free. In some cases, you can even exempt yourself from participating in life threatening missions. So be sure to keep it safe and don’t lose it."
"Will do. If you don’t mind, please take me to the Guild Market." said Zixin.
"Alright. Guys, you are free to go about your business. I’m taking the benefactor to the Guild Market." said Robert before leaving with Zixin.
Robert and Zixin travelled by carriage to the Guild Market, the largest market in the city. Soon, they arrived at the Guild Market and inside this building, it was extremely spacious, capable of housing tens of thousands of people without getting crowded. There were many aisles here with different products and all products were protected by glass.
Some of the products were floating close to the roof.
"Benefactor, what do you want to buy?" asked Robert.
"What do they specifically sell here?"
"Everything. Whatever you want, you can purchase it here." replied Robert proudly.
"Then I’d like to first buy a storage ring."
"Storage rings are in the Spatial artefacts aisle, follow me."
The duo passed many aisles until they reached the Spatial artefacts aisle, selling anything related to space. There were other people who were also looking around and a few workers waiting patiently for the customers to call them over.
Zixin immediately called someone to help him with his purchases. Before the worker could greet them, Zixin spoke first.
"Give me a storage ring with a thousand cubic metres, a ring that’s capable of survival a chaotic space without even the slightest crack."
"Are you specifically looking for a storage ring or any storage artefact that meets your requirements." asked the worker.
"Any storage artefact will do."
"Please check this pamphlet, it has all the storage artefacts that meet your needs." said the worker and passed the pamphlet to Zixin. Zixin took the pamphlet and was actually surprised to see that one could scroll through it. When he finally focused on the prices, his eyes almost fell off.
The storage artefacts that he was looking at were prices in hundreds of thousands, all the way to millions.
"Ehm, how about you show me your cheapest storage artefacts, something around 50 GP (Guild Points)." said Zixin, a bit embarrassed.
"Then please look at this pamphlet dear customer."
The storage artefacts in the second pamphlet were much cheaper but couldn’t survive in chaotic space. Only providing a larger storage space.
"Give me this one." said Zixin casually. The Guild Market doesn’t have cashiers so trades are done by the workers themselves.
"Where do you keep your insects?" asked Zixin. Check latest chapters at 𝕟𝕠𝕧𝕖𝕝~𝕗𝕚𝕣𝕖~𝕟𝕖𝕥
"Please follow me." said the worker and led the duo to another aisle where different insects were kept in separate glass containers with short descriptions inside the containers. The insects were in abundance here, both Pseudo Ranked and those with official ranks.
They even had the Blue Dragonfly that Zixin found by luck in the forest. It was then that he remembered the evolution materials of his Blue Dragonfly but he still hadn’t chosen which path to choose for it.
’My main enemy here is Mana so I should choose insects with the capabilities to either disrupt or devour Mana. Only then can I even the field.’ thought Zixin. So he checked insects one by one without activating his Compound eyes, he didn’t want to expose his abilities in such a dangerous place.
Even though Zixin now knew what he was looking for, some insects still caught his attention. The first to catch his eyes was the Woodworms, second was the Aphids, followed by the Emerald Jewel Wasps, cockroaches and last but not least, ladybugs and all were very cheap.
In the end, Zixin bought a lot of insects, all of which were Pseudo Rank and not yet useful to him. He bought the largest number of Woodworms and pine tree logs then left the shop with Robert. Overall, he spent about a hundred GP for all the products bought.
In the Adventurers Guild building on the first floor, Zixin was sitting cross legged on his very own bed. He was now living in his very own one bedroom apartment with a bathroom, kitchen and small living room. He was surrounded by thousands of insects, some flew in circles around him while others stuck to his body.
’I wonder if I can contract with all ten thousand insects at my disposal.’
