Chapter 147: Chapter 147
All the Rare Elemental Mages decided to set out on journeys to seek paths to make their Elements powerful. And it was here that things took a great turn. Many Rare Elemental Mages did find what they were looking for like Mystical Ice, Rocks, Trees and Plants, etc and fused them into their Elements and grew stronger.
While others succeeded in their unique and rare paths, others ultimately failed and in this group, Glass Mages were included. Even Merlin couldn’t do anything about this situation at that time so such paths were ultimately dropped and started afresh using the Mage paths already treaded by others.
But some Mages didn’t give up and banded together to create Legacies for future generations to use and continue what they couldn’t when there were more resources for even Rare Elemental Mages like them. The reason other Mages hadn’t been able to improve and innovate their Mage paths was because the resources needed by their Elements either hadn’t been born or hadn’t been found yet.
These Legacies should have been buried long ago in history but because of Merlin, all human history was recorded down and copies were made so almost all human history was still preserved and was placed in libraries for generations and generations to come. The problem came with translating these ancient languages which modern Mages couldn’t do. Even the most knowledgeable Knowledge Seekers were stumped by languages from long ago.
Other races had been hired to translate for them but this ultimately led to those races learning Humanity’s Secrets and increasing the strength of their own races so they stopped hiring other races for fear of stealing their Treasure Troves of Ancient Knowledge. Because of Zixin’s specialty, he could translate these books which is how he came across these Legacies.
More modern Legacies about Rare Elements were created but when compared to the old ones, one was clearly inferior and the other was superior in quality and effectiveness.
According to the Glass Legacy, in order to become a strong Glass Mage, Evan had to have a Fire and Sand Elemental Affinities. If he had more Affinities then they’d become nourishment for the two Elements. The next part was the most difficult because Evan had to then find Mystic Sand and Dust and Mystic Flame to create a Mystic Glass Mana Heart.
The stronger the Mystic Flame he had and the more types of Mystic Sand and Dust he used, the better the results and the stronger of a Glass Mage he’d be. What’s even better was that he could also use the Mystic Flame and Sand separately, making him a Tri-Elemental Mage and all of this had to be done before he became a Sorcerer because once he became a Sorcerer, he’d have to start over but he would now be treading on thin ice because of the difficulty and danger that came from starting over.
What the Ancients considered the most difficult part was actually the easiest part for Evan. In their time, the Adventurers Guild didn’t exist yet but in his time, the Adventurers Guild did exist and it sold everything. If the Rare Elemental Mages of old knew about this, Evan wondered how they’d react.
’They’d probably cry so much that their tears would form a sea.’ he thought while browsing through the Guild Market with his smart watch. The Guild Market did indeed have everything including the Mystic Flames and Sands, the problem was the prices.
There were Dragon Flames, Phoenix Flames, Demon Flames, Lava Giant Flames, Volcanic Flames, Sun Flames, Bright Burn Flames and all types of other Mystic Flames. It was the same with Mystic Sand and Dust, there was Moonstone Sand, Star Dust, Gold Dust, Black Sand, Flame Sand, Crystal Sand, etc.
The unfortunate part was that Evan couldn’t afford all the Sand and Dust so he had to choose carefully but he wasn’t too concerned by this because in the future when he advanced to the Wizard Stage, the opportunity to add more Sand would reappear.
Evan bought the Flame Sand and Gold Dust for the Sand Element and bought the Forge Flames that are commonly used by blacksmiths because of the heat they produce. There was still some change left after he bought everything so he added Silver Dust and a few grams of Magical Sand, after that, all his money was finished but he was content with how he’d used it.
After a few minutes to calm himself down, Evan took out the products from his Guild Card storage space and they hovered in front of him. The Forge Flames were in the shape of a volcano mouth and contained within a transparent barrier, same thing with the Sand and Dust.
Not wasting time, Evan initiated the Glass Legacy inheritance and the first began from within him. His Mana Heart which had different colours for the different Elements he had started to undergo a transformation. The other Elements lost their lustre as they began to feed into the Fire and Sand Elements, increasing their Affinity by leaps and bounds.
And after feeding into these two Elements, the colour of that Element would disappear. One by one, the other Elements disappeared without a trace and the process was extremely painful but not as painful as assimilating a Bookworm into the mind so Evan could fully endure this little pain.
As the Sand and Fire Affinities increased, there was a change in the environment. The Mana in the cave which didn’t have an attribute suddenly gained the Fire and Sand Attributes and even Mana outside the cave and beyond were changed to become a Fire and Sand Mana which then surged towards Evan’s location.
Outside the dark barrier, a phenomenon occurred. A sand storm suddenly appeared from nowhere and engulfed the entire Url Kingdom territory and beyond. From above, intensely burning fireballs fell from the sky like a meteor shower and bombarded the barrier and to everyone’s surprise who was outside the barrier, the dark barrier couldn’t resist the bombardment of the fireballs and the sand storm.
The sand storm then transformed into lifelike humanoid golems that also bombarded the barrier, desert scorpion golems also appeared, Naga golems also appeared and even cloaked golem figures also appeared and attacked the barrier. The fireballs falling from the sky became hotter and stronger as time went by.
"Could someone tell me what’s going on?!" asked Ace but everyone also didn’t know what exactly was happening so they took videos and sent them to their organisations and waited for a response. A few minutes later, it was Cardinal James who received a message explaining this phenomenon. The message wasn’t long but very short.
’An Elemental Child is about to be born.’
That’s all the message said and when Cardinal James read it out loud, everyone was confused about what an Elemental Child was so they looked it up and boy oh boy, when they read the description of an Elemental Child, they just couldn’t believe something existed.
