Chapter 138: Chapter 138
When Adam spilled out the contents inside the storage ring, the Mana inside the cave increased even further.
"What Grade are these Mana stones with so much pure energy inside them?" asked Evan.
"Master, I think these are Mana Crystals. And I think those are Attribute Mana Crystals." answered Jersse.
"So this is what a Mana Crystal looks like. Quick, take them back, don’t allow the Mana inside them to dissipate!" said Evan and the Mana stones were left. What remained on the ground was books that Evan found boring by just looking at their titles.
Magic Array Legacy, Applications Of Mana, Encyclopedia Of Plants and Beasts, Pioneer Legacy, Alchemy Legacy, Golem Puppet Legacy, etc. New ɴᴏᴠᴇʟ ᴄhapters are published on 𝕟𝕠𝕧𝕖𝕝~𝕗𝕚𝕣𝕖~𝕟𝕖𝕥
There were many legacies mixed in with these books but they didn’t interest Evan because he wanted something that could boost his strength in the shortest amount of time, not something we’d have to spend time on. As he continued to read the book titles, he finally came across a book that was very helpful to him.
This book wasn’t as thick as the others and had slightly more than a hundred pages. Evan wasted no time and took out a Rank 2 Bookworm to quickly devour the book and while he waited for the Bookworm to finish eating, Evan focused on the Scripture and the other books Adam had obtained.
"Boss, what’s this?" asked Adam while pointing at the Bookworm. The one who answered him wasn’t Evan but Jersse.
"This is a Bookworm, it’s very rare in the world. This worm has the ability to..." As Jersse began to explain the mystic abilities of the Bookworm, Adam’s eyes widened in shock as he never expected something so magical to exist, even though, this was a magic world, such things were too fantastic.
Once the Bookworm finished eating the book, Evan assimilated with it and because it wasn’t a spell, he didn’t suffer any pain. The title of the book was Spell Fusion, simple and straight to the point. And what this book entailed was the fusion of spells and even though Evan had the whole book in his mind, he still couldn’t understand the principle behind it.
There was something about similar pathways, something about similar spell format, something about similar activation. Evan was completely stumped and didn’t know how to proceed. And this is when the magic happened, the Bookworms started to do their magic.
The Bookworms that had devoured spells knew everything about the spells and actually sent Evan information about which spells had similar pathways, similar spell formation and similar activation. This is how Evan mastered Spell Fusion in just a few short minutes.
[Fused Spell: Fiery Wind Blades!]
Evan released wind blades that were made up of fire but shaped and moved like wind blades. The spell resulted in both cutting and burning effects and the heat was quite extreme.
[Fused Spell: Steam Breath!]
Evan then blew out steam with his mouth, the spells fused were Fire Breath and Ice Breath.
[Fused Spell: Death Storm!]
Evan released a spell that created a sandstorm and inside this sandstorm were wind blades that cut everything inside inside the storm. This was the last spell Evan released then went to check other good stuff.
The Elemental Scripture copy was still under processing by the Bookworms so he had to wait, as for the Elemental Book, he tore off pages from it and fed them to his worms and then continued to increase his Mana Capacity and also practice Earth Spells. The Bury spell now took about 45% of his total Mana to cast which was a good thing.
"Jersse, how do I get my hands on some Bookworms. I also want to master spells without having to practice them." said Adam with pleading eyes.
"I’m sorry boy but that ship has already sailed. Do you remember when Master Evan told me about Mr Bug’s identity, that he was the librarian?"
"Yes, yes, I remember."
"He’s the one who created the Bookworms and it’s been months since he sold any of them so I’m guessing they’ll no longer be available to the public, which is why I said that the Bookworms are very rare. If you want some, then ask the Young Master to give you some, he has plenty of them in his collection." explained Jersse.
Adam looked at Evan who was meditating and hesitated just like how children hesitate to ask strict parents for something.
A few days has passed and Evan had now absorbed all the information that could be helpful to him in increasing his strength. The Elemental Scripture indeed had an 80% absorption rate and also had a slight increase in Elemental Affinity that someone already had. Evan didn’t know what level his Elemental Affinities and him were at but it had to be high since it came from Mr Bug.
He now had more spells in his mind from Tier to Tier 6 but he knowing these many spells seemed to have affected his mental health. As for the Beast Bloodline Technique, it was a body technique that wasn’t sophisticated but very difficult to practice. This body technique refined the bloodlines of Magical Beasts to enhance one’s phyisal strength.
A hundred Magical Beasts of the same bloodline to be refined and received 1% of their physical strength, a thousand Magical Beasts for 10% physical strength and ten thousand Magical Beasts for a hundred percent increase in phyisal strength. It clearly was a simple body technique to practice but at the same time, very difficult to practice. If you coveted the strength of Magical Beasts that was endangered and there was only 99 of them then you could forget about getting even one percent.
Evan wasn’t interested in body techniques and decided to give it to William since he was the only body practitioner amongst the three of them. He now focused only on reaching 6 Star Mage and improving his capacity and Earth spells. This process was repeated again and again for about ten days or so, what actually disturbed Evan from practicing was a weird goblin that said it wanted to talk to him.
