Chapter 132: Chapter 132
The others obviously went stupid and soon caught on to what was happening and cast their most powerful spells. Because they didn’t Earth Affinity, they opted for an increase in Mana Capacity. One of the boys was a Twin Mage of Ice and Fire, the other boy was a Water Mage with a Water Physique so he could use his body as a Mana container.
One of the girls had a Rare Lightning and Wood Element and specialised in electric vine whips. The other girl had contracted with a Would Spirit that looked like a humanoid tree branch and the third girl had Wood affinity and an half awakened Druid bloodline. All of them had something about them that made them special but the most special was Adam who was an Octa-Elementalist of lightning, fog, ice, wood and the four natural elements.
While the group was maximizing on the benefits brought by this high concentration of Mana, things outside weren’t looking good.
"Cardinal James, we’re great that you came as soon as you received the news. This is the predicament that we’re currently faced with, do you think you can do something about it?"
Cardinal is a middle aged man with a holy glow surrounding him like a protective shield. Cardinal James approached the barrier of darkness and tried to touch it but a black vine pulsating with dark energy whipped his hand away. Cardinal James who was smiling the whole time was now frowning and looking at his hand which was now bleeding.
[Great Evil born from darkness, with power invested in me, I COMMAND you to reveal yourself!]
The glow covering Cardinal James’s but expanded and spread outwards then collided with the barrier of darkness. The barrier only shook slightly and a black vine with an eyeball sprouted out from it.
[Child of the White Winged, you are not qualified to demand anything from me! This portion of land is no longer in the hands of Nilrem!] said the sprouted vine in a malevolent and creepy voice before the sprout disappeared.
Cardinal James went back to the crowd with a grim expression. Seeing this expression, everyone knew that even the Cardinal had been unsuccessful.
"Friends, I’m afraid the situation is more dire than I’d expected. Whatever this monster is, is from prehistoric times and extremely powerful. Even Mother Nilrem is helpless against it." said James and shook his head in regret.
"Those are monsters born from Darkness, the Dark Vines and the Shadow Saplings." said one of the two cloaked figures who appeared from thin air.
"Darkness as in the Abyss or the Void?" someone asked, completely ignoring that they came suspiciously here.
"Neither. Before everything existed, before Domains were born, there was only one place that existed, the Lands of Darkness. The Lands of Darkness watched the birth of everything and gave everything a portion of space to freely use as they pleased but as time went on, the Lands now referred to as Domain were once tiny specks of dust floating in Darkness but when they grew stronger, they became fearful of the infinite power of Darkness and tricked it into signing a contract. It was this contract that allowed the Domains to still exist and the Darkness Will to enter Eternal Slumber." said the cloaked figure and removed his cloak.
His partner also removed his cloak and the two of them were elves, Dark Elves to be exact. They were tall, around three to four meters, lean bodies with very little body fat, they had grey skin, pitch black pupils and long pointed ears. They were extremely handsome that any woman of any race would be charmed by them.
"And why are you telling us all of this?" asked Sydney.
"We were sent here initially to assassinate the one who holds Rune knowledge but after seeing that human goblin summon denizens from our Lost Lands, it clicked to us that the human race is the future of Dark Elves. We Dark Elves wish to serve under the Human Race, all we ask for in return is the extinction of Spirit Elves." said the elf. The humans were completely astounded by this and couldn’t process this information for a long time.
"Time out, time out, time out. Are you telling us that the Goblin Leader is actually a human? And you also want us to exterminate your own race? Am I getting this clearly?"
"That goblin has a human soul, the fusion of the two is still incomplete so we can tell the difference. As for the Spirit Elves, they aren’t of the same race as us. We Dark Elves were born from the Shadow of the Dark Tree and they come from the leaves of the Dark Tree. They were supposed to serve us and take care of the Dark Tree together but then they betrayed us.
All the female Dark Elves were slaughtered, leaving us unable to reproduce. Then they told us that they could revive our women but in exchange, we’ll serve under them. We agreed and signed the contract that was actually fake and became their slaves. Don’t be fooled by their highest Nature Affinity and perfect appearances. Spirit Elves are very smart and cunning. They betrayed our Mother and aligned themselves with the Mana Tree which is now called Y..."
The Nirlrem World shook and the Dark Elf felt an unfathomable pressure suppress him but it also lasted for an instant before everything returned to normal. The elf spat out black blood and he was weakened to a great extent.
"Are you willing to accept the Dark Elves into the Human Race of the Nirlrem World?" asked the other elf. Nobody said anything simply because they were simply not qualified to represent the Human Race of the Nirlrem World.
Before this group could even contact anyone, the space around them shattered and found themselves in a foreign land where time flowed both slow and fast, depicted the past, present and future all the same time which created one event to occur in an infinite number of times yet also occurring at one time. As they were in a daze, the ground trembled and something beyond human comprehension appeared before them. It was so massive that just it reptilian eyeballs with hourglass shaped pupils looked like a multitude of universes piled up together.
"Ti-Time Dragon..." muttered one of the elves in horror. The aura of this dragon was beyond anything the elves had ever felt. It was a power that approached, on par, or beyond that of the Lumen World.
"We accept your race into the Human Race of the Nirlrem World." sounded the dragon’s powerful and before they could blink, everything returned to normal like what they just saw was nothing but an illusion.
’We’ve underestimated them...we’ve completely underestimated them! Humanity...is TERRIFYING!’
