Chapter 120: Chapter 120
Two weeks had passed since Zixin started lecturing and today, his parcels have finally arrived. In his new mansion, a tent was set up inside one of the rooms and Zixin was inside this tent with countless slaves inside. He’d spent almost all his wealth to buy these slaves. Kneeling in front of him was a couple. This couple was a very old one, faces covered in wrinkles that eyes could barely open, a few sparse hairs here and there and a smell of death permeating their bodies. "The two of you took almost all my wealth and this is all you amount! You’re basically thinned out, completely out of potential or talent!" said Zixin as he looked at the old couple kneeling in front of him. These two although old were Low 9 Star Sorcerers with 0% Compatibility.
"Damn it, these slaves were supposed to help my flesh and blood eating Gu advance to Rank 4 Magical Insects but because of you two, I gotta waste them on you, damn it!"
Two maroon coloured Gu appeared on his palm. These two Gu looked eerily similar to adult ticks, ticks that were deflated and completely starved. On the deflated bellies of this tick looking were imprints of a black larvae.
"These are Heart Gu, what they do is that they enter your body and crawl all the way to your heart. When they get dare, all the blood in your heart will be drank by them and your dry heart devoured. After that, they will be your heart replacements. After replacing your hearts, you will lose all your strength and become ordinary people, this is the part that ticks me off the most.
In order for you to grow stronger, you no longer need to meditate, just have to eat a certain number of Mage Hearts to reach the same level of strength. The less potential you have, the more hearts you need to consume to advance, do you now understand why I’m so angry?! No, the two of you better not die in the process of Heart Replacement, these things are rare and expensive to grow!" explained Zixin as he placed the Heart Gu on their dry skin and the Gu passed through it and entered the blood vessels.
The whole process was agonisingly painful but Zixin didn’t care. All he cared about were results.
"Remember, don’t die! I spent too much on the two of you!" Zixin repeated himself with a bleeding heart. He could see that these two would leave him broke in the future, their potential was completely burnt. After a few minutes, the Heart Gu’s entered the hearts and latched on to them where they started sucking on the blood greedily, their bodies slowly grew larger and their blood bellies inflated.
While Zixin was building his protection from scratch, Isaac went to visit the royal house. The doors to the throne room opened and he entered with steady and confident steps. His mage cloak blowing in the wind that only he could feel. There were many armoured knights standing on the sides of the throne room like statues, all of them exuding Rank 8 strength.
Sitting on the throne was a bored middle aged man. His face was resting on right hand in boredom. He had a full beard and hair that look real, his eyes were orange red and his body was full of thick muscles and wore a majestic robe with fire embroidery.
"Your Majesty, Ace, I came to give you an opportunity." said Isaac without kneeling. He stretched out his hand and pointed at Ace on the throne and said only two words in a foreign but powerful language.
Literal wind blades appeared in thin air and flew towards Ace at incredible speed. Ace frowned slightly as he conjured up a flame barrier without even lifting a finger and when the windblades slashed at the barrier, it was almost extinguished, causing Ace’s face to be more serious as he stretched out his hand and strengthened the barrier. After a long time, the wind blades disappeared. This incident took less than fifteen seconds.
Isaac was still approaching the throne in a calm manner, it was only then that the king’s personal guards took action and all jumped at Isaac.
"This is not your business, stand down!" shouted Isaac and waved his hand like swatting a fly. Billowing winds sent the guards flying and crashed into the walls but the walls didn’t break or crack.
Isaac waved his hand again and this time, the condensed winds weren’t in the shape of swords or blades, it was simply crescent shaped wind energy that could be seen with the naked eye and moved at even greater speed.
[Tier 10 Spell: Wyverns Breath!] An illusory figure of what seemed to be a massive wyvern appeared behind ace and breathed out a blazing fire. The crescent winds decreased in power but didn’t stop, forcing the illusory wyvern to solidify into a fully visible wyvern that opened its mouth and swallowed the three crescent winds. The neck, chest and stomach of the wyvern split open but the winds had finally been subdued.
"You’ve gotten stronger." said Ace as the wyvern disappeared, it wasn’t truly real, just a spell Ace had casted.
"This is the opportunity I came bearing to offer to His Majesty." replied Isaac as he finally fell on his knees close to Ace’s feet.
"The language you were castingyour spells with, it’s not any of the human languages but also not the foreign languages I’m familiar with but it’s very powerful. Is this why your spells were so powerful?" asked Ace.
"Yes, it’s called the Wind Spirits Language that was created by the Wind Elemental Spirits. I learned it two weeks ago and have been practicing speaking with it and the effects are quite good. It’s safe to assume that once I learn the other three languages, I’ll step into the Tenth Star level and in the future, I might even have the chance of advancing to the Wizard level and travel the world."
"Even as a Sorcerer, you can still travel the world." said Ace but Isaac shook his head.
"It’s too risky. The Sorcerer Stage doesn’t completely guarantee my safety, only the Wizard Stage would give me that sense of freedom."
"I see. Tell me more about this opportunity of yours."
