Dr. Winson Summerton flipped open the medical record in his hands. On the first page, in the name column, a name was written in both Chinese and English. In the space for the Chinese name, ’Vera Wave’ was clearly written. He carefully read through the medical record before he finally spoke.
"Human memory is akin to computer storage. In theory, if a patient’s brain hasn’t been damaged, memories can be recovered. However, to be on the safe side, I need to see the patient and examine her before I can reach a conclusion."

Dr. Winson Summerton closed the medical record. "May I ask, Mr. Leafcastle, what was the cause of this young lady’s amnesia?"
"This..." Nathan Leafcastle shook his head lightly. "I... don’t know."
Dr. Winson Summerton pushed up his glasses. His deep blue eyes gazed at Nathan Leafcastle through the lenses for a moment. "Aren’t you two friends?"
Leaning against the back of the sofa, Nathan Leafcastle shrugged lightly. "We haven’t seen each other for many years, so I’m not very familiar with what happened back then. Regardless, please, you must cure her. I’m counting on you!"
"I will do my best!" Dr. Winson Summerton nodded formally.
In the following two days, Kris Cooper remained busy with the internal testing. Vera Wave, similarly, was preparing for the project launch event scheduled for the next Monday. She worked long hours, leaving early and returning late each day. It wasn’t until Saturday afternoon that all the necessary preparations were finally complete.
After carefully watching the promotional film from beginning to end three times and confirming that everything had achieved her desired effect, Vera Wave rose from her chair. Smiling at the three members of the ’Dream Team’ sitting on the sofa, she walked out from behind the table to stand before them, then bent deeply in a solemn bow.
"Thank you, everyone. You’ve all worked very hard!"
At first, the three were puzzled by her sudden bow, then startled. They hastily stood up and helped her to her feet.
"Vera, you’re going to shorten my life doing things !"

Just as Vera was about to speak, the phone on the desk began to ring.
It was the sweet voice of the company receptionist from the ground floor.
"Hello Vera, this is Reception on the ground floor. There’s a Mr. Nathan Leafcastle here to see you. Should I have him come up, or will you come down?"
Vera paused in surprise for a few seconds, then glanced at her wristwatch. "Could you please ask him to wait for me? I’ll be down shortly."
After hanging up, she raised her eyebrows quizzically, turned to her colleagues, and said, "Sorry, something urgent has come up, so I have to leave a bit early. I won’t be able to treat you all to dinner today. I’ll see you at the event tomorrow."
"Vera, you can’t prioritize a handsome man over your friends !" Wang Xiaoya teased, already walking over and taking the files from Vera’s hands. "It’s okay, I’ll clean this up. Don’t keep our handsome guy waiting too long!"
Knowing Wang Xiaoya had misunderstood, Vera didn’t explain further. After reminding everyone to bring all necessary items the next day, she thanked Wang Xiaoya, hurriedly grabbed her bag, and went downstairs.
She was both curious and surprised about Nathan Leafcastle’s uninvited visit and wondered what it could be for.

"Brother Nathan!" Vera ran over and stopped by his side. "What’s the rush? Is something urgent?"
Nathan Leafcastle withdrew his gaze from the distance and smiled at her. "Didn’t we have an agreement? Don’t tell me you’ve forgotten?"
