Chapter 67: Chapter 67
"Heh heh! Zhang Xiaohao, you bastard! So you’re Xiao Xue’s husband, it’s been so hard on me keeping this secret! Tonight, this lady is going to get back at you for all the grievances I’ve suffered," Su Ruobai chuckled coldly.
In her hand was a brush, and under the moonlight, she stealthily reached towards the apparently sleeping Zhang Xiaohao.
Unaware that the supposedly deep-sleeping Zhang Xiaohao was now smirking at the corners of his mouth, flashing a mischievous smile.
Su Ruobai walked up to Zhang Xiaohao’s side, looking down at the "sleeping" Zhang Xiaohao, her exquisitely beautiful face wore a triumphant smirk.
She held the brush poised to draw on Zhang Xiaohao’s face, ready to paint a turtle on his cheek.
Just as the brush was about to make contact with Zhang Xiaohao’s face, the continuously "sleeping" Zhang Xiaohao suddenly moved his body, his right hand seemingly casually reaching out and catching Su Ruobai’s jade-like hand in his own.
Zhang Xiaohao smiled smugly to himself, thinking kiddo, you’re not ready to match wits with me if you think your little schemes can work.
Gradually, Su Ruobai began to sense that something was off!
If Zhang Xiaohao were truly asleep, why would his face bear that triumphant sneer?
Zhang Xiaohao, that bastard, must be feigning sleep!
Thinking of this, Su Ruobai felt so angry she was nearly exploding!
"Ah! Were you born in the year of the pig?" Zhang Xiaohao knew his pretended sleep had been discovered as he felt a pain on his lips and muttered annoyedly.
"Bastard! Pervert! You shameless man!" Su Ruobai, struggling to hold back her rage, hissed at him with her eyebrows raised.
Anxious not to wake Cheng Tianxue.
After all, this was Cheng Tianxue’s home, and Zhang Xiaohao was her nominal husband. If she found out that her friend was up in the middle of the night trying to steal her friend’s husband – even if Cheng Tianxue believed they were innocent – Su Ruobai couldn’t face herself over it.
"Heh heh! Thinking of me letting you go? Do you think that’s possible? Sneaking around in the middle of the night trying to steal a man. If Xue’er found out, my dear Xiao Bai, you’d be dead!" Zhang Xiaohao teased her with a wicked smile.
"Hmph!" Su Ruobai replied coldly, "Zhang Xiaohao, don’t push me too far!"
"Oh, you’re going to lose your temper? Let’s see you try!" Zhang Xiaohao retorted smugly.
"You’re asking for this! If Xiao Xue finds out you’ve been working at her company without her knowledge, you know the consequences without me saying a word," Su Ruobai threatened triumphantly.
"Are you threatening me?" Zhang Xiaohao asked.
"Right! I am threatening you! I’ll ask you one more time, will you let go or not? If you don’t, I’m telling Xiao Xue this secret," she pressed.
"You’re ruthless!" Zhang Xiaohao said.
Gazing at the fiery lips before him, Zhang Xiaohao had a cold laugh in his heart, thinking kiddo, you dare to threaten me? Watch how I deal with you!
Su Ruobai escaped from Zhang Xiaohao’s clutches and glared at him fiercely, saying, "Bastard! You just wait, if you think you can take advantage of me and get away with it, this isn’t over between us!"
After speaking, Su Ruobai quickly ran into the bedroom inside and closed the door. Thıs text ıs hosted at 𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹✦𝕗𝕚𝕣𝕖✦𝓷𝓮𝓽
"Just with that scheming of yours, trying to compete with me? You’re way out of your element!" Zhang Xiaohao said proudly.
Glancing outside at the sky and having been disrupted by Su Ruobai, Zhang Xiaohao was no longer sleepy.
After thinking for a moment, Zhang Xiaohao sat cross-legged on the bed, began circulating the Shennong Battle Sky Technique, and entered into cultivation.
Without another word, Zhang Xiaohao woke up early the next day.
Though he hadn’t slept all night, he was brimming with energy, not showing any sign of fatigue whatsoever.
After finishing his practice, Zhang Xiaohao got dressed and walked outside.
"Good morning, son-in-law!" The housekeeper Sister Zhou greeted Zhang Xiaohao with a smile as he came downstairs.
"Good morning, Sister Zhou," Zhang Xiaohao responded with a smile.
He stepped outside of the villa and breathed in the fresh air.
Standing in the garden of the villa and looking at the Guan Qingxue’s villa next door, even across hundreds of meters, Zhang Xiaohao could see her villa surrounded by bodyguards swirling around, a rich Evil Qi emanating from them.
"The strength is decent! With these guys here, dealing with common folks is no problem," Zhang Xiaohao muttered to himself as he withdrew his gaze.
"Xiaohao’s up early, why not sleep a little longer?" Mr. Cheng, who was practicing Tai Chi Boxing, greeted him with a smile.
Zhang Xiaohao walked up and watched Mr. Cheng perform Tai Chi Boxing. While the movements looked fluid, they didn’t seem to serve any practical purpose.
"Mr. Cheng, your Tai Chi Boxing is no good! It looks passable on the outside, but it’s all for show and no substance," Zhang Xiaohao said, arms crossed, standing there.
