Chapter 247: Chapter 247

Zhang Xiaohao finished cultivating, jumped out of bed, took a warm shower, and changed into a clean black suit.

After a night of cultivation, the aftermath left by using the Xingtian Battle Axe had almost completely healed.

He opened the door and headed downstairs.

"Sister Zhou, what’s wrong?" Zhang Xiaohao asked.

Sister Zhou’s face was furrowed with worry.

"Ah! It’s you, my good son-in-law!" Sister Zhou exclaimed distractedly.

"Sister Zhou, what happened?" Zhang Xiaohao asked.

"My good son-in-law, we’re out of gas for the stove," Sister Zhou said grimly.

"Isn’t it just out of gas? No worries, I’ll call someone to bring a new canister over in a bit," Zhang Xiaohao said.

"It’s not that simple," Sister Zhou hurriedly said.

"Hehe, really, Sister Zhou, it’s okay. I’ll just have someone deliver a canister soon," Zhang Xiaohao laughed.

"My good son-in-law, come with me, it’s too complicated to explain in a few words," Sister Zhou said.

Zhang Xiaohao followed Sister Zhou into the kitchen.

"Look, my good son-in-law, this little thing appeared here out of nowhere. I’m certain that we have never had a dog, and we just replaced the gas canister a couple of days ago. It shouldn’t be empty!" Sister Zhou explained.

"Hmm?" Zhang Xiaohao frowned.

Looking at the little creature lying on the stove.

It was about the size of an adult’s palm, pitch-black, and fluffy all over with a tiny tail and two small bumps on its head.

"Sister Zhou, you go ahead and start preparing breakfast, I’ll take a look here," Zhang Xiaohao said.

"Alright," Sister Zhou replied and left the kitchen.

Zhang Xiaohao closed the door and picked up the little creature.

He swept over it with his Soul Power, probing into the little one.

A few minutes later, Zhang Xiaohao withdrew his Soul Power.

He had confirmed that this sudden appearance was indeed the demon beast egg he had brought back from the valley.

The little fellow was now in deep sleep, yet it harbored an astonishing power within.

Moreover, inside its body was a demon core the size of a dragon’s eye.

Within the demon core was a vigorous Flame Power.

The only difference was this Flame Power was black, unlike the fiery red color of the other two demon beasts.

After pondering for a while.

Zhang Xiaohao made up his mind to keep this mutated demon beast as a pet.

He immediately bit his index finger, squeezed out a drop of blood, performed the Three Pure Daoist Skill, and his hands drew mysterious and inscrutable seals from his palms.

"Enslavement Technique!"

Suddenly, Zhang Xiaohao growled, and pressed his hand decisively.

The glistening drop of fresh blood, along with those seals, was infused into the little one’s head.

Even in its sleep, the little one sensed the invasion of foreign power and let out a faint roar.

A fierce aura emanated from within it.

"Hmph! Be subdued!" Zhang Xiaohao coldly snorted.

His finger authoritatively pressed against its forehead, the seal flashed, followed by the blood entering its body.

"Hehe, who knows, maybe I really stumbled upon a treasure this time," Zhang Xiaohao chuckled.

Watching the little one fall back into a deep sleep, he casually tucked it into his chest. ʀᴇᴀᴅ ʟᴀᴛᴇsᴛ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀs ᴀᴛ 𝘯𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭•𝓯𝓲𝓻𝓮•𝘯𝘦𝘵

He opened the door and walked out.

"Ah! My egg!" Just then, Cheng Qingsu, still half asleep, rushed down from upstairs.

She went straight into the kitchen.

"Ah! Where did my egg go?"

A moment later, roaring could be heard from the kitchen.

Zhang Xiaohao’s face darkened as he watched his sister-in-law shouting in the kitchen, wishing he could slap her.

"Brother-in-law, have you seen my egg?" Cheng Qingsu rushed out and asked.

"Is it black and about three inches small?" Zhang Xiaohao asked.

"Yes, brother-in-law! I clearly remember, last night I placed it on the gas stove to cook. How could it disappear overnight? Could it have burned to ashes?" Cheng Qingsu muttered.

Zhang Xiaohao’s face darkened again, thinking of the little one hatching early, he roughly guessed the reason there was no gas.

The flames from the gas stove must have been absorbed by this little one.

Thus, causing the little one to hatch prematurely.

"Cheng Qingsu, you are quite bold to even steal my egg!" Zhang Xiaohao scolded with a tense face.

"Ah! Your egg is missing? Did Qingsu, this dang girl, steal it?" Cheng Tianxue’s shocked voice came from behind.

"Ah! Sister, it’s not what you think," Cheng Qingsu quickly explained.

"Damn it! You dang girl, you actually stole your brother-in-law’s egg. I’m going to kill you!" Cheng Tianxue roared coldly.

She grabbed a feather duster nearby and hit Cheng Qingsu with it.

"Ah! Sister, you’ve wronged me. I didn’t steal brother-in-law’s egg!" Cheng Qingsu dodged and explained at the same time.

Her saying this only made Cheng Tianxue angrier.

The more she thought about it, the angrier she got!

"You damn girl, stop right there. I’m going to kill you!" Cheng Tianxue roared.

She gripped the feather duster and quickly chased after her.

"Ah! Grandpa, save me! My sister is trying to kill me!" Seeing Mr. Cheng coming out, Cheng Qingsu quickly hid behind him.

"Grandpa, move aside! I’m going to kill this damn girl today." Cheng Tianxue said fiercely.

"Little Xue, what’s wrong?" Mr. Cheng asked.

"Grandpa, this damn girl, she, she actually stole her brother-in-law’s egg!" Cheng Tianxue said with red eyes.

"What? Xiaohao, did Qingsu steal your egg?" Mr. Cheng was visibly shocked.

"Grandpa, it’s not what you think," Zhang Xiaohao rolled his eyes as he said.

He explained the demon beast egg he had brought back last night.

After hearing Zhang Xiaohao’s explanation, everyone finally calmed down.

"Ah! Damn it, why didn’t you remind me earlier?" Cheng Tianxue scolded coldly.

"I wanted to explain, but you didn’t give me a chance!" Zhang Xiaohao shrugged helplessly.

"Hmph! Grandpa, I’m going to the company." Dropping these words, Cheng Tianxue walked outside.

"Grandpa, I’m not eating either. I’m going to school." Cheng Qingsu huffed and turned to leave.

"Grandpa, it really wasn’t my fault. I didn’t even get a chance to explain." Zhang Xiaohao said.

"Xiaohao, not to reprimand you, but really, you should have kept an eye on it! No wonder Little Xue was so angry. If it were me, I’d be surprised if I weren’t angry either," Mr. Cheng shook his head and said.

"Heh," Zhang Xiaohao touched his nose and gave a bitter laugh.

A luxurious private plane from the capital of M country landed at Nanhua City’s airport.

A young man in a white suit, his hair slick and shiny, got off the plane with a proud look on his face.

Looking at the rising sun.

With great ambition looking at the sky, he proudly declared, "I, Zhou Pengfei, am back, Tianxue, you wait for me, I won’t let you go!"
